At this point, I see that first post of his, where he announces that he won't show up much, as well as gives it a sort of justification, as a way to easily lurk in our faces. Ranger, your very own post sparked the entire discussion so far. I strongly suggest you involve yourself in it further.

Through the question is not addressed to me, and I'm certainly interested in Sir Tornado's answer, I think your meta is drivel (what a nice word).

Change of gaming style is a null tell, and I don't see how that particular little speech would benefit a scum anyhow. However, what I find more interesting is your bringing up your 'meta' at every turn. Your meta here looks to me as a fine way to appears to be doing your homework, while in fact what you evidenced is inconsequential at the very best.

I think that the discussion on random voting is drivel also. Bias behind random votes are too hard to divine and too easy to disguise whether from town or scum to be important. What matters is the throwing of accusations, bandwagons etc. That said I also can understand that it's a nice place to start a discussion.

I have no problem with his post because I don't see how a post like his could benefit scum. And lurking is annoying but it doesn't automatically means scum.

Yeah, this one of the big issues. The answer is he does, but he specifically cited the day start in this game as his reason not to.

How many games has Ranger played in? His allignment in those (completed) games? Ranger, why did you choose this game in particular to come up against random voting?

Anyone else enjoy the irony of RotN's first post? He claims D1 day start lynches are based on someone doing something annoying, and there he goes and decides to be that person and not contribute.

I'm not put off by Ranger choosing this game to rant. If it was something for him to get off his chest, where/when he did it is irrelevant.

His lurking is obviously of concern, but I think until a prod is picked up and no post made that its premature to speculate that he's intending to lurk through the day. We've one mediocre flare-up on the subject of random voting, and now on Ranger himself.

We can now start to look at who fell where on those subjects.

I'm thinking Al looks like he wants to be part of the Ranger wagon, but not responsible for it.

At the end of it, he says he's going to keep up with the game and comment when things get substantive. I imagine his own defense would be substantial.

I suppose a wagon to force his hand in that respect does have merit. I guess I'm trying to avoid any rush to judgement on a single post and no confirmation of an ignored prod.
