Good grief. Um lets see if I can catch up all in one post.

I think the Jester should come forward.

I am not the Jester.

Tyhess should refrain from taking votes without at least giving his reasoning for taking them. (Basically meaning if you want to take the vote of someone who seems to be vote hopping or committing other acts of stupidity, then fine, but be prepared to back up that action with reasons.) And technically, we do have a way to get rid of tyhess during the day. We can always lynch him.

Also,
vote MOS
for random voting when there is some content to be looked at.

Further,
FOS everyone who has posted and not claimed whether they are or are not the Jester

O my~ a fast paced game...

Not jester.

I didn't like the way Greasy Spot delayed to answer questions toward him.
Gladly will join the wagon on him.

Meanwhile,
vote: hasdgfas
. Tongue tied in this game?

About tyhess, I can see why if tyhess is a scum, the more he recruit the more dangerous he will be.

About Iammars, I felt that was just an idiocy slipped.

Uh, because you need to hunt for scum in order to find them? I'm not really quite sure, just a hunch, y'know? I totally know where you're coming from and I understand your confusion on the matter. We were all new players, once.

But I have to say that I like your personal attack towards me. It just
confirms my vote
on you.

By the way, if you're the jester and acting stupid in order to be lynched, you don't really win if you get lynched D1. Just letting you know.

is there any
good
reason why we should let potential scum take potentially pro-town votes away from us?.. i think letting tyhess take
any
votes could be dangerous for the town... like the cliche says, "better safe than sorry"...

for mith's bookeeping: i'm not the Jester, and i'm not scum... there, glad that's settled...

I lied, I'm posting sooner than Friday.

Imagine a CotC Recruiter Jester... Hrm..

Anyways, NOT JESTER.

I sadly was not part of the game where this was discussed, but I agree with it fully and even moreso since seeing Pooky's explanation of it.

FoS: Greasy Spot
Already stated reasons. You were avoiding the question and being difficult.
Smaller FoS: Iammers
Though I agree a bit with DB that it could have been a mistake. I do not find DB scummy in his actions yet, his play looks like his town play to me so far. I don't have any reads on other players yet, I've mostly been focused on the jester issue.
petroleumjelly wrote:Now that I think on it, I have a topic for discussion - particularly, concerning tyhess's role. After rereading it carefully:
Cult of the Couch Recruiter wrote:Each night, you
may
select a person to join the Cult of the Couch.
There's many possibilities to look at, but in general, there is
no
benefit to the CotCR's ability for the town. If he's scum, then it's obviously dangerous for the town, and if he's town, then if he recruits town, it could be harmful (unless he recruits a lurker to control their vote), and if we find out who mafia is to control their vote, we'd much rather have them dead. If we happen to discover two mafia in one day though, then we could recruit one and lynch the other with his own mafiate :D. Lynch the other guy the next day.

At end game having tyhess around could be dangerous in case if he is scum of some sort, then his ability will screw us over badly. But could be good if we can recruit a mafiate to control their vote during end game, but the chance of that is so slight I wouldn't consider it a possibility until it happened.

So basically I don't think tyhess's ability should be used except for rare specific cases, and I don't think tyhess should be alive at end game, but is good to keep around for now.

Really the only other use of the ability is for fun.

P.S. poor hasdgfas. *noted*

Alright, I've read the thread now. Needless to say, I completely agree that the Jester needs to claim today. Pooky has laid out a pretty good set of reasoning for the Jester to claim, and there's no reason yet that disproves his logic. It's pretty much unassailable.

Secondly,
Small FoS: Iammars
for his "slip". I'm not going to vote him because it seems possible to me that he could still be town. Personally, I assumed the same thing he did, that tyhess was either town or cult. If he was mafia, that seems way too overpowered, so I never considered it a possibility. That being said, though, I agree with PJ that tyhess should not use his power until later in the game. If he's got solid evidence that someone is scum, he should steal their vote. But otherwise, he shouldn't use it. This way, he's less of a threat to the scum, so he can live longer.

Vote: Greasy Spot
That was some horrible maneuvering around the Jester issue. I'm thinking mafia here.

I understand that the jester
must
claim, but I am not the jester.

I apologize for not saying it earlier. I agree that the jester should claim, but I am not the jester. It took me a while to understand the logic behind that at first, but now I get it.

Also, I am finding greasy spot more and more frusterating. His extreme contrariness and reluctance to cooperate with anyone is just not making sense to me. I can't fathom why anyone would play in this manner. GS, can't you see that your hindering everyone, including yourself? It's silly, really. If your were scum it wouldn't be hard to slip in between the cracks, at least in day one. Why paint such a target on yourself? You befuddle me.

GS might be attempting a Slayer's Gambit, but that's just pure speculation. I doubt he has the wits to pull off that one.

hasdgfas, I feel your pain. Is there any way your PR can be removed?

If yes, say AMEN.

If no, say HALLELUJAH.

Or just say yes or no if you can.
