This is exactly why I chose to vote kuribo. He seems to be trying to hard to find scum. Like, trying to hard to be town. I find that the people who try to derail the fun are usually the scum trying to act like townies. At the very least, he is the scummiest at the moment, so that is where my vote will rest.
Is there really a thing as too town? Most people are just joking around right now so I just kind of did this toon out with the jokes. But I didn't feel kuribo was being hard he is trying to get the game going. I would say you calling him out on his behavior is questionalbe.

unvote: Vote: kabenon

I'll keep my vote on Powwel, for this little bit he posted:
I could change my vote to Oman...
In my experience, asking for the town's permission to vote (by putting it forward and waiting for a response) is a way of avoiding responsibility for your vote. Since it was the fourth vote, passing that crucial half-way mark, scum would want to get that vote in but not be tied down to it.

Omitting your joke posts, as you put it, results in the following:

1 random vote,
1 "random" vote against Oman, just because he was here,
Unexplained vote against thinktank,
Questions regarding how you're derailing the game.

Gee, I don't know, is that proof enough? Disregarding the votes and your last two posts, the only things you've said refer to parts of your anatomy or how bandwagoning you is always scummy.

Yes, it's so scummy that I'm trying to smoke out the scum. Way to go, captain logic.

"Too Townie" is a moot point, you'll always get scum that acts super-townie, and you'll always get townies that act scummy. Then you have everyone in between. I could just as easily say that you act so scummy that there's no WAY you're scum. So, you see how stupid that argument is.

Okay. I can see where you're coming from at this point. But I really haven't seen much else yet, and at least it has sparked some conversation. I admit, and have admitted, that it was a rather flimsy tell, but it's just something I could think of. I wasn't going to lynch you for it. I just wanted some reaction. Which I got. From many people.

I wasn't asking the town's permission to vote. I was just giving warning that I might change my vote to Oman. I was considering it...

I never random vote. Ever. Votes that aren't serious, sure. The first two weren't serious, thinktank is. My posts regarding anatomy explained that vote, but you are too busy to leave them out to make your bullshit attack seem worthwhile.

Kabenon this is what i got from your post:

Kuribo is trying hard to find town therefore he is scummy because he is acting pro town. I understand you were trying to promote discussion but this point makes no sense at all.

I know this game has gotten derailed ( three people all randomly voting for the same guy? ) so you'd think that the person who started to actively scum hunt is not indicative of anything because scum act town and townies act town, so to say that because one person is acting , seemingly, in teh best interest of the town is scum is unsupported.

Flameaxe: I'm still waiting as to your response to why you're voting me. You said you followed your esophagus. If you're voting for me it must be that you believe that either I am scum or you are pressuring me into conversation. What is your justification for a solid vote rather than say logically calling out a person on a dubious act, then casting a vote or FoS. You have not presented a case against me not are you rallying to get me lynched. What exactly are you doing? your posts regardinbg asshatery explained your vote? hardly.

I think you are just covering up for the fact that you 've had nothing worthwhile to say all game, its just been all filler. You've made some votes, called some people asshats , called some acts asshatery, stated you haven't contributed to the asshatery of the game. You are essentially lurking; yes you are posting but you have not said anything worthwile, so i'll ask you again: why are you voting for me?

That's not really what he was saying. He was pointing out that he thought that Kuribo seemed as if he was trying too hard to act in a pro-town way, which is commonly seen as a scummy thing.

True, except this isn't a newbie game, and thus JD doesn't need to be that IC figure to help lead the way. A wiki link (such as there was) seemed like plenty of explanation to me.

One, a wiki link that lead nowhere... great help...

But isn't it possible? I mean, I'm a theatre major, and we're told to avoid overracting, and what kuribo was doing seemed to be overracting to me. Overracting to be town, so how does it suck? I don't care if I'm wrong, I just want to know.

No.

The too townie fallacy sucks.

That is my opinion and I won't shift on it.

Nothin personal, but there is no way someone can be working too hard for the town page 4.
