I'm talking about his early play, which is what he was being run up for, unless I'm horribly mistaken.Ripley wrote:

It's obvious that he's gone entirely inactive since then, and likely needs replacement. I consider that to be somewhat separate.-

So am I talking about his early play. There isn't any other play to talk about. When I said I disputed both "intentionally makes a stink" and "vocal", I was referring to his behavior when he was posting, not the subsequent silence. Do you really think those terms are accurate? You've said "Apple's play strikes me as being fairly protown," as part of your justification for proclaiming him innocent, but I wouldn't recognise him from the description you used.Glork wrote:I'm talking about his early play, which is what he was being run up for, unless I'm horribly mistaken.

I also can't understand the logic whereby you called Patrick inconsistent.-

I suppose "intentionally making a stink" is somewhat exaggerated. He posted a lame comeback and has goofed around for the most part. The only seriousness in his posts was to explain his nonseriousness.
In the first three game-days, he made seven posts, which is certainly vocal. He since then has made one post in the last two weeks (which came back on Nov 11).-

Glork: Perhaps shockingly, I know exactly what you're talking about. I know this is probably going to look like buddying up, but I also (again) agree with everything you said. I guess I had pretty much the same thought about apple, but I tend to distrust myself more, because I don't have your level of experience. Actually, this is a tad weird, it's almost exactly what I'd thought you say. But in a good way.o O
I also get this. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY GUYS CAN WE PLEASE JUST LYNCH HIM BECAUSE HE'S SCUM ALREADY. >.>Glork wrote:EBWOP: See, this is my problem. Everything makesperfectsense in my head, but explaining it so that everyone fully understands what I'm thinking is incredibly difficult.
Ripley: He calls Glork "a lil' bitch", he ain't exactly lying low, is he? Glork's right, anyway. Or at least it makes utter sense to me.
This bit makes me feel very ungood for some reason. I'd say Andy's been getting better as time goes on, and he was hardly that scummy to being with, just a lil' interesting. Just what exactly is wrong with his last post? And who's he copying? Why're you throwing out that type of vague accusation that scum love so much about someone who's been the popular wagon, but past the point where anyone cares? You weren't much into him when he had four votes on. Or in fact,Patrick wrote:I think Andy is the player who bothers me the most right now, and his last post seems surprisingly scummy to me.at all, previously.*squints suspiciously*
The Patrick wagon is a good wagon. I am liking Shanba quite a bit, right now. Actually I'm going to be a bit arbitrary andunvote:wankandvote:Patrick'cos that post makes me feel all queasy.
I truly hate lynching 'non-contributors' but I don't see a better lynch at the moment. And we can't just not lynch people because they don't make sense, because the meta will be horrific. So, uh, yeah. Let's hope this produces something interesting.Succinctness is pro-town.

I don't think he has been getting better as time goes on. I don't actually think he's done that much at all, despite posting. As for copying, look at his posts. I think that's about the fourth one where he copied someone almost exactly. In that last case, he copied Glork, and me, and used it to turn his (presumably) random vote, into a non random vote. Wank, if protown, looks like an easy target because he's annoying everyone and making zero sense.Elmo wrote:This bit makes me feel very ungood for some reason. Not true. Read my posts. I didn't have a vote on him, but he has been one of my suspects for a while. Not heavily suspicious, but this game hasn't been one of the quickest off the ground anyway. You present it as though my vote came out of nowhere. Apple has only been very minorly suspicious to me, and Crub and wank haven't come off as particularly scummy in our debates. I decided to put my vote on my top suspect. I'm not sure how the fact that he had 4 votes earlier is relevant.Elmo wrote:Why're you throwing out that type of vague accusation that scum love so much about someone who's been the popular wagon, but past the point where anyone cares? Non contributor? No, I've contributed more than alot of people. How the hell am I a non contributor when 3 people haven't said or done anything at all? I'm annoyed by this.Elmo wrote:I truly hate lynching 'non-contributors' but I don't see a better lynch at the moment. No, macca, I mean crub / wank are non-contributors. You're fine on that front, and I apologise if I gave any other impression. I meant: I'm hoping this vote produces something interesting (from someone), otherwise we'll have to fall back to lynching a non-contributor.
Apple and sikario need to be doing more, too. Where's sikario got to?
I'll read the rest in a bit but I wanted to say that now.Succinctness is pro-town.

Sikario's sig says he's away for a week on school break. I guess that includes the coming weekend so we may see him back on Monday. When he was here he was cluttering up the thread with a load of useless posts about how he was reading but had nothing to say. In posts 141/142 he even manages to split this information over two posts. My guess would be that if he returns we'll get a string of updates on his progress catching up with reading the thread, a process he'll manage to string out till deadline, without having given us a word of content along the way.Glork wrote:Pretty sure Apple/Sikario are going to end up getting replaced. :twocents:
We now know that apple picked up his prod but has still not posted. As far as I can tell from the rules:
... we're stuck with him, posting or not, if he picks up prods and doesn't request replacement.Ether wrote:I will seek a replacement for anyone who has not picked up a prod for 48 hours or has requested replacement.
Then there is JDodge, probably the worst offender of all. Since Ether didn't mention him picking up his prod, perhaps we can get him replaced?Mod: are you replacing JDodge?
If all these three are still with us, resisting replacement and not posting/not posting content by deadline I'd support a lynch of any one of them.
You know, it didn't strike me that way at all. In fact I barely even registered it other than as meaningless noise amidst the other page 1 meaningless noise. If a comment sounds a bit familiar or provocative I just assume the players have a history and it's a private joke.Elmo wrote:Ripley: He calls Glork "a lil' bitch", he ain't exactly lying low, is he?
I don't think that's anything like a definition of vocal. It ignores the length and quality of the posts, and the number and quality of posts made by other people during the same period. apple's posts were response-type posts, generally brief and bringing absolutely nothing new to the game, and made at a time when the thread was busy. My dictionary defines "vocal" as "resounding; talkative; outspoken; eloquent;" - I don't think apple qualifies. However, I'm probably starting to nitpick here. I'll accept that your definition of vocal differs from mine.Glork wrote:In the first three game-days, he made seven posts, which is certainly vocal.-

I've already stated that I believe Crub to be likely protown, and so I'm giving some weight to his assessment of your play. It's enough to not want you dead immediately.wank wrote:

I'd like to see you post a list of every player in the game with at least a sentence or two on what you think of that player's alignment and why you've arrived at those conclusions. That would be helpful. Practially all of your recent posts have been unhelpful.-

I didn't mention JDodge because he responded in-thread--I am not seeking a replacement.Post 260, Ripley wrote:Mod: are you replacing JDodge?
Officially, a prod on Apple or JDodge would be his second today, opening him up for replacement or at least a stern talking to if he continues to not post. (Having said that, I'm going to pre-emptively prod both of them now.)As I move my vote
