While it may well be WIFOM, I find it distinctly odd that you could have been so ignorant about the role in an open setup. It strikes me that there would be some benefit in saying "oops, forgot about the traitor" as it distances you from the role PM.
I know that if I were making a post asking about the particulars of a certain role I'd be sure to check the OP for the role PM before posting it. Yes, you could just have been incredibly lazy and not bothered to check, but it strikes me that it is not a protown move to post in such a confused nature about a scum role when all the information about that role is available to all of us."Awesome Proton Pack, Flay!" - Petroleumjelly

also, xyzzy, you seemed to attack mert with the whole wifom argument after he voted you, which i think is unnecessary and scummy.
he wasnt the only person to bring up the questionable fact that you didnt read the open setup.
i also didnt like your first post after the night kills were revealed. even though you clarified it, when i first read it, it made me think that you wanted to see what ssf did to get killed and avoid it.
he also came on the kinetic bandwagon after the tipping point. that is, the point in which it seemed pretty much inevitable (especially given time restraints) that he would be lynched.
then today, he votes for me, the person who had the most attention after kinetic on day one. so, i think he saw me as a safe place to throw a vote and just wanted to do it first to make him look less scummy.
vote xyzzy-

FOS mertas well, but for different reasons.
I have no problem you voting for xyzzy, but I do have a problem with the reasoning. If you suspect him to be the traitor, he should not be our target today. The traitor is harmless, and only comes into play in the end game. We really should give it our best shot to take out the remaining Capulet - and not the traitor.-

Still not seeing much evidence either way. The vote for Xyzzy seems the strongest case at the moment but like Dragon Phoenix said, we should really go after the capulet and not the traitor.
It does seem a little fishy that he feigned ignorance of the Role PM's though and if nothing else comes up, maybe it would be best to go with him.-

...I didn't "feign ignorance". You're taking me completely out of context. It was actual, genuine ignorance.Jimmy R wrote:Still not seeing much evidence either way. Yeah, but "sometimes" is different from "mostly." I don't want to say always because he did have a few good posts, such as that last one; but stuff like 44, 46, 61, and 140 shouldn't fly. There are other posts which do contribute to the discussion, but are short and vague (like 26 and 28).poppinpuffin wrote:Stewie wrote:Furthermore, when you read his posts it seems as if he's posting for the sake of posting (posting to not get modkilled).

Then there's 71, where he points out that something Kinetic did was scummy... yet he does not vote for him.-

I take your point, but I don't agree with your absolute stance on the issue. Ultimately, we need the traitor dead in order to win. While it would be extremely beneficial to locate and lynch the remaining Capulet today, it is still more beneficial to have lynched the traitor than to have lynched a townie (or a power role even). In the absense of having a firm view on who I believe to be the Capulet at this point, I see no issue with putting some pressure on Xyzzy in the interim - not least of all because the traitor knows who the Capulet is and any pressure that might give out a few tells on that issue is still very useful information to get out of today.Dragon Phoenix wrote:I have no problem you voting for xyzzy, but I do have a problem with the reasoning. All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts.
PoppinPuffin was a girl though, so she only got one part. And she didn't really feel much like playing that.
PoppinPuffin, a Montague, has been modkilled for inactivity.

Alright, so we're down to six and possibly two scum left. We need to lynch one of the 2 now, or it's possible we'll wake up to a loss.
I will continue to say it: I think logicticus is the most likely candidate to be scum. Why don't we just lynch the obvious scum and get on to more important tasks like possibly getting rid of the traitor?-

Two points:
1) that post reeks of desperation
2) it is impossible to lose with a mislynch right now, you are are just acting like a republican and trying to scare people. even with a mislynch, a scum kill and a missed vig kill it leaves us with 3 people.
worst case is, traitor, scum, townie. this is not an auto loss. the scum has no idea who the traitor is (or even if the traitor is still alive). a smart townie will claim they are the traitor (almost certain now that i mentioned it) and the actual traitor will claim the same and they will vote for each other and we will be down to the unusual circumstance that the scum will have to determine who is the actual traitor for the win.
so, that post makes me feel even better about my vote.-

upon further reflection, if you are a townie and its down to the final three, it would be unwise to claim traitor.
this is because odds dictate that the traitor is likely been killed and by claiming traitor you are just encouraging the other townie to vote for you adn the scum to hammer.
but this just opens up a big can of WIFOM.
my whole point was that we are not in as dire as a situation as xyzzy wants you to believe.-

OK, did not feel like working outhow many minutes were left, so had to post quickly first.
No. We win when Lord and Lady Capulet are dead. How difficult is it to read your own win condition? Or is it because you do not have our win condition?Mert wrote:Ultimately, we need the traitor dead in order to win.

You're missing the fact that once the other Capulet is gone, its game over and we win.xyzzy wrote:<.<

I would have thought you would be more careful after your last mistake with the Role PM.
Was this another mistake or are you feigning ignorance again to try and look innocent?
unvote, Vote xyzzy-
