It is a lovely summer's evening, and all the guests have come to the Montagues's lavish home, dressed in their finest. And their finest includes a masque, since this is a masquerade. Most guests are outside, in the gardens, but the large hall contains 13 masqued individuals, drinking, dancing, talking, having a wonderful time. Well, 12 of them are doing that; the 13th is slumped in a corner, having had too much to drink.
Or so it seems. As the night drags on, he slumps further and further down the wall, till he suddenly keels over, and it becomes apparent that his throat has been slit from ear to ear. Not drunk, but dead!
Screams fill the air as the guests run for the doors. But the handles won't budge! Locked in! Locked in this room with a killer! In horror, the guests tear at their masques, only to discover that those as well won't budge. How is this possible?!
A mystical (and modly) voice speaks, from whence you know not:
"Oh Montagues, did you not smell that death

and Capulets do seek revenge on all
your blood for deaths long past and yet to come.

Look close and you shall find unfamiliar

Win Condition: When all the Montagues are dead, or nothing will prevent this.
Role: Mafia
Flavor: You are Lord(or Lady)Capulet. You and your wife(or husband), Lady(or Lord)) Capulet (aka XXX) are sick and tired of those filthy Montagues. They have been killing of your kinsmen for generations now, and you are determined to wipe them out once and for all. Each night, you may attempt to kill a player by PMing their name to the mods.
One lovesick teenager will get a PM in which your supersexy mods wrote:Faction: Capulet
Win Condition: When all the Montagues are dead, or nothing will prevent this.
Role: Traitor
Flavor: You're Romeo. You used to have the last name of Montague, but this really hot Capulet chick was all "deny thy father and refuse thy name" and she totally promised that if you'd doff your name, you could take all of her. Get it? :leer: So yeah, you've thrown in with the Capulets. Problem is, they don't know who you are. You could just publicly announce it, but pretty sure that'd piss of the Montagues and they'd lynch you. So you want to protect the Lord and Lady Capulet (XXX and YYY), (Juliet'd be pretty pissed if her parents got lynched) and not die. Also, since you are actually a Montague, despite your allegiances, you will appear as such if investigated or in the unfortunate event of your demise.

Role: 2-time Vig
Flavor: You're Mercutio. You're rather hot tempered and have a sworn vendetta against all members of the Capulets. Your hatred has grown to epic proportions, and you are now looking to take justice into your own hands. With that being known, during the night, you may murder another player. Beware aware, however, that you may kill one of your own blood. You may commit a kill in this manner twice throughout the play.

Flavor: You're Prince Escalus, The Prince of Verona. You are against all bloodshed, and since the Capulet family is reducing the Montague family tree at incredible speeds, you have sworn to use your princely powers to determine if a masquerader is a Montague or a Capulet. However, since you do not want your identity to be discovered, you may only use your ability during the night.

Flavor: You're part of the Montague Family. You are increasingly worried about the Capulet’s attempted genocide, and you have decided to take action. You will be able to cast a vote to hang a player each day. However, since you’re so busy dancing during the masquerade, you fall asleep during the night.
