Wow, it's funny how quickly we got down to seven players! Due to the traitor coming up Montague, we have no way of knowing if a mislynch today puts us in LyLo or not, which is an interesting predicament to say the least. I think that if today's lynch comes up Montague (or if more people get themselves modkilled O.o;) we should play it safe and assume we're going to be at LyLo - that means probably no vig kill tonight if we do not lynch correctly.

Hmm... interesting.

Rather than futily trying to discuss what the kills mean, I will ponder what the Capulet did to get killed.

Then I will look for the other person who did that.

Well, it's not quite lylo, since the scum would have two opportunities to kill his own traitor if he is still alive. We can, or course, assume worst case scenario.

we wont know until the other scum is gone, then if its game over, we took them out, otherwise we need to keep the hunt on...

Not bad. Need a re-read now that we know somestrangeflea was scum. His own posts do not give much to work with, but let's see whether there is something on other posts involving him.

Um, no. As soon as we lynch or vig the second Capulet, we win and the traitor (and the Capulets) loses.

Well, I might as well get the day started by
vote: logicticus

I'm still not happy about the way he implied that you can only gather information by asking questions, and when told he did not ask any questions, went on how there's more than one way to gather information. He did apologize for it later on, but to me it seems that someone who truly believes that there's more than one way to gather information would not ask someone "how are you gonna gather information without asking any questions?" (paraphrased). Furthermore, when you read his posts it seems as if he's posting for the sake of posting (posting to not get modkilled).

MODKILL UPDATE COMING:

JimmyR
has not posted since Day Two began (35 hours ago)
Mert
has not posted since just after Day Two broke (34.5 hours ago)
PoppinPuffin
has not posted since Day Two began (35 hours ago)
xyzzy
has not posted since shortly after Day Two began (34.5 hours ago)

(So Rule (9) contradicts what I've been saying--and thinking--which is that you only have one grace period. Apparently, you have one per game day. I'm uncertain how to factor the weekend into it. Since LmL made up both those rules, I'll leave it to him. For now, assuming no modkills, votes are as follows:)

It is day 2.

7 players remain: Dragon Phoenix, Jimmy R, Mert, PoppinPuffin, Stewie, logicticus, xyzzy.

4 votes are needed for a conviction or to go to night.

1 vote for logicticus (Stewie)

6 players have not voted: Dragon Phoenix, Jimmy R, Mert, PoppinPuffin, logicticus, xyzzy.

About 5 days and 16 hours remain.

We are not counting Sunday as "post time", and the four of you have not posted all day Monday EST.

You are all on your grace period for the day (since I mistyped the rules, as I meant one grace period EVER.) Since all of them are in their grace period by 2 hours, they all have 22 hours to post before modkill.

I am
highly disappointed
at the way some people are taking this game. You guys KNOW what you signed up for.

Let's not rush into voting. It looks like we will have several modkills coming up, and that is highly valuable info (maybe even game over). I do share the mods disappointment. I came out of retirement on this site because of the special set-up and to have the game screwed up like this is frustrating.

Even worse, if we have four modkills, we also have a lynch with the two votes just cast!

Well, I've posted, so at most 3 modkills would occur.

Which still wouldn't be a good thing, but not an instant lynch.

Sorry guys, I've been off work (which is where I do all my posting from) for the last few days. I'm back in the office now so will be posting again.

Going to have a careful re-read now with the extra info we have from the dead Capulet and see if anything comes up.

Hi, I'm posting this from my mobile just to say I'm sorry I couldn't get on much yesterday but I will be posting in far more depth once I get home from work this evening. I had Monday off work so it sort of became part of my weekend and I'll admit that pretty much all of my games slipped yesterday. Of course, that's more important in this game than any other which is why you're getting this personal apology. As I say, expect more from me later today.

Couldn't really glean anything from somestrangeflea's posting history. He was on the Kinetic wagon early but hopped off and was reluctant to put him at -1...which means nothing knowing what we now know. Other than that he hadn't been very active and didn't seem to give of any clues as to the identity of his scumbuddy.

Does anyone have any more thoughts on who the remaining Capulet is?

I have done a complete read through again - and no real clues either.I have a small hunch that logisticus might be the traitor though based on his posts on this page. But it is a small hunch. And I'd rather hang a capulet than a traitor anyway.

I need to do a further read through myself, but if i had to pick someone right now it would be xyzzy.

His argument yesterday that had no bearing really sticks with me (which is funny because its pretty much the reason you seem to be voting me).

But, I will hold off my vote for now.

Meh, there's very little in Fleaboy's posts to tie him to anyone in particular. If I had to guess, based solely on his posts, there are a few interactions with Brutal Assassin that would make him top of my list. That said, I don't believe there's enough in those particular interactions to warrant a vote on him at this moment in time.

Beyond that, there's very little in the way of 'tells' that I've managed to pick up so far, really. I'm used to far longer days (as are we all, pretty much) but I have to echo Logi here and say that if I
had
to pick someone it'd be Xyzzy, though I certainly see him as more likely traitor than scum. Something about the way he seemed to have "forgot" the roles in this game and the specifics of the Traitor role just doesn't seem honest to me.

I agree that lynching Capulet today is far better than lynching the traitor, but with a lack of anything else that jumps out at me right now, I'm going to
Vote: Xyzzy
.

Mert, your argument against me is WIFOM. If I understand correctly, you're saying that I chose to pretend to be ignorant so that I wouldn't appear scummy. Butn that argument is WIFOM, and to assume that I used it is to assume that I'm scum - I wouldn't need to feign ignorance if I really was ignorant.

FoS: Mert
