After an hour or two of reading, I've gotten to post 300. No-one's even been lynched yet.
It's highly likely that I'll end up with knowledge of the thread that is vague, and I may miss some points. If some people, preferably as many as possible, could post a thread overview, so it could be easier for me to catch up, I would be very greatful.
Thanks!-

After reading through the thread, (which took four hours, btw...) the only things which stood out as particularly interesting were the entrance of Thesp, and the "If the Townie wants to live, is that a bad thing?" argument. They stood out, in that after reading, those were the only things I even remember.
Here's my "List of General Feelings I Have To Everyone Else™":
Good Vibes
Bad Vibes
Neutral Vibes
-->John-->TeamQuigganLateralus- John and TQ both didn't give me any particular vibe, whereas Lateralus hasn't really posted anything big.
-->AvynilDeathSauce- Avynil didn't post that much, but seemed to have actual, real life reasons. DeathSauce has some good reasoning, and seems to have reacted well to some statements, but seems just a little too aggressive for my liking.
Occult- Seems to know what he's doing. Getting a general "I know what I'm doing" vibe. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing though.
gorckat- Seems to be a genuinely nice guy. I personally think there's a good chance that he's pro-town.
mustafa15- No particular vibe off mustafa. Seems sensible. Similar to Occult IMO.
-->DLMFThesp- DLMF had a very distinctive lurker vibe, but when Thesp arrived, he managed to provoke discussion. I didn't agree with some of what he said, but still...
Peter Venkman- I don't know why, but I really hated the "If I asked you to jump through a hoop of fire..." line. I'm afraid I don't like the attitude of that.
-->IchigoParadoxombie- Ichigo had vague posts and a general lurker attitude. Paradoxombie does seem incredibly scummy. It may be newbie-ness, I'm not sure, butIGMEOY
-->VryklanCrashTextDummie- Vryklan didn't post much, and I don't get much of a vibe from CTD, so I can't really comment here.
Paradoxombie is the only current player I distinctly think is Scum, and gorckat is the only current player I distinctly think is Townie. Everyone else I have a general middle ground on, in that I have no real reason to suspect them.
@Gorkcat: I thought of this. But I figured the different views from each person could be a point of discussion. I was clearly wrong!

There's no need to put it so bluntly, but yeah! I've only read through the topic once, which is enough to form a basic opinion. I will develop my opinion through re-reads, but it is highly likely that I will play the game, mainly, using events which have transpiredOccult wrote:So....
What your saying is you basically have no real handle on the game.since my arrival, which means I will likely be forgiving towards any mistakes may have made.
He has been, but, IMO, his posts seem to be fairly balanced overall. And by "no vibe" I meant "nothing major pushing him either pro- or anti-town."Gorckat wrote:Thanks for your effort!
What do you mean no vibe on CTD? He's been a fairly prolific poster.-

Firstly, thanks! The search by player function is useful, but then it's hard to get posts in the context of other posts, which kinda sucks.
I understand why you said what you said, and I am intrigued at his response, and am thus grateful to you for it. I just personally didn't like it. That's just my opinion on the tone of the post. I agree with your reasoning behind it.
And, as for why it seems to be the highlight, upon my read through the thread, there were three things that stood out:
1. The "Do Townies want to die?" argument.
2. The arrival of Thesp.
3. Paradoxombie's reasonably poor attempts at defending himself.
Those were the things Ithought stood outcould distinctly remember afterwards. I was tired...-

I agree. My sole base for suspiscion was "Guilt by Assosciation", which is why I gave you a Finger of Suspiscion, in comparison to Lateralus' rediculously dramatic Arm of Suspiscion. I know! Similey-Smiles!
Anyhoo, I'm kinda thinking Lateralus is Scum due to his, IMO, hesitant entry into the game. Whilst I realise that this was, like, a day ago, I haven't really got much else to go by, since he's only postedninetimes in 12 days. Active lurking is a basic summary of my reasons.

Day 3, First official vote count:
Lateralus (2): gorckat, somestrangeflea
mustafa15 (1): Thesp
Not voting: Paradoxombie, Peter Venkman, Occult, mustafa15, Lateralus
With 8 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.-

I'd like to hear some guesses from Peter Venkman.
And with that, my opinion of you has been sway from "There's a small chance PV is Scum" to "There's a reasonable chance PV is Town". Well done!Peter Venkman wrote:Thesp> I'm learning that my scum radar is piss poor. I was convinced VRK, Death, and Guardian/PickEm were all scum.
Earlier in this game I was accused of "leading the town." I wish I could keep up the momentum, but after two lousy picks, I'm not feeling it. In addition, I realize that my poor judgment is a tool that can be wielded against me now. For that I have no defense, and if it becomes an issue worthy of lynching I have further failed the town.
If I understand it right, all that needs to happen now for the town to lose is two townies to put their vote on another town, and the scum can end the game. For this reason I will not be voting haphazardly.
When I have seen enough arguments from everyone I will place my vote.

I dunno how to react to this question, as I'm not sure whether your asking me "What does your vote mean in terms of the game?" to test my knowledge, or if you're simply asking me "Uh, why?". Because of this, I shall answer the second, and then the first if that's actually what you wanted.Peter Venkman wrote:

1. Why did you want a deadline?
I wanted a deadline/replacements to prod the players who hadn't posted in a while. I did not expect both.
2. Can you give your thoughts on Occult?
Hammering did seem a tad scummy to be honest, but, IMO, not as scummy as a few people seem to be making it out to be.
3. Can you give your reasons for your Paradoxombie vote?
My Paradoxombie vote is because of general thread-wide tone and attitude. I've maintained a suspicion on him since entering the thread, since I'd prefer to keep a vote because of a general 30-page opinion, rather than hopping back and forward after each and every post.
4. Can you give reasons for your Lateralus vote?
My Lateralus vote was caused by mistaking Newbishness for Scummishnesh. Lateralus came across as massively scummy, simply because I haven't had much experience with newbies. After playing in a few other games (both with and without Lateralus), I've noticed that both he, and other newbies, play in a similar way, and so Lateralus has slowly been sliding down my Scumlist.
So, now what...?-

Self-defense FTW!Aimee wrote:Somestrangeflea
I'll say something interesting about Raffles tomorrow. Basically I found he was active and aggressive, then fizzled out.
Post 804 – SSF joins. Says John/TQ/Lateralus didn’t give any particular vibe (disagree, very scummy). Says Death Sauce is aggressive, yet says he is neutral (I would say scummy.) Says Occult seems to know what he is doing (???), and says gorckat seems like a genuinely nice guy and pro-town (no explanation). He found Mustafa like Occult, and didn’t agree with Thesp on some things (yet doesn’t clarify what he means). He doesn’t like Peter’s attitude (what about his actions?), and says Paradox is scummy, yet doesn’t say why, and says he can’t really get a vibe from CTD. Overall, the perfect scum entrance – is unsure about basically everyone and says one person is scummy. Incredibly non-committal.
Interestingly in post 842, he changes his stance on gorckat completely and says that Lateralus and gorckat seem like a scum-pair. No reasons are given. Jumps on the DS bandwagon. When later asked why he is on the DS wagon, he says “the same reasons you are…”
The interaction between Lateralus and Gorckat seemed a bit too "Do what I say, and you'll blend in fine..." I didn't "change [my] stance on gorckat completely". I made clear that my suspicions were weak, and I later admitted that my suspicions were based on "Guilt by association."
As for DeathSauce, I didn't think there was any explantion needed that wouldn't involve repetition. But, since you asked, I agreed with the others, that the idea of "flailing" was incredibly scummy.
Day 3 he jumps in and votes Lateralus, as well as throwing suspicion against Zombie.
Well why wouldn't I? Don't you think it would be incredibly inconsistent if I voted for someone else? It was a continuation of my list from Day 2.
Wants a deadline, which I find scummy.
Well, so did Occult and gorckat. Are they beyond the reach of your suspicion?
I don’t really like his convenient Paradox vote.
Convenient? How so?-
