I'm a handsome devil. You know nothing about looks.

Other
people have been talking for 30+ pages. You have not. This game has been going on for several months. Most likely the dynamic isn't going to change unless you insert something new.

You had the luxury of reading this thread with no involvement in the discussion, why sit on your fresh insight?

You join this thread and start to defend Deathsauce, than when called out on it immediately pull away. And
I
look odd?

Back off, man. I'm a scientist.

After an hour or two of reading, I've gotten to post 300. No-one's even been lynched yet.

It's highly likely that I'll end up with knowledge of the thread that is vague, and I may miss some points. If some people, preferably as many as possible, could post a thread overview, so it could be easier for me to catch up, I would be very greatful.

Thanks!

You'll get a different view from each person, though. I'd rather you come up with independent, even if incomplete, thoughts first.

The day isn't gonna end as soon as you post, so there will still be time to review what has gone on before.

After reading through the thread, (which took four hours, btw...) the only things which stood out as particularly interesting were the entrance of Thesp, and the "If the Townie wants to live, is that a bad thing?" argument. They stood out, in that after reading, those were the only things I even remember.
Here's my "List of General Feelings I Have To Everyone Else™":
Good Vibes

Bad Vibes

Neutral Vibes

John
-->
TeamQuiggan
-->
Lateralus
- John and TQ both didn't give me any particular vibe, whereas Lateralus hasn't really posted anything big.
Avynil
-->
DeathSauce
- Avynil didn't post that much, but seemed to have actual, real life reasons. DeathSauce has some good reasoning, and seems to have reacted well to some statements, but seems just a little too aggressive for my liking.
Occult
- Seems to know what he's doing. Getting a general "I know what I'm doing" vibe. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing though.
gorckat
- Seems to be a genuinely nice guy. I personally think there's a good chance that he's pro-town.
mustafa15
- No particular vibe off mustafa. Seems sensible. Similar to Occult IMO.
DLMF
-->
Thesp
- DLMF had a very distinctive lurker vibe, but when Thesp arrived, he managed to provoke discussion. I didn't agree with some of what he said, but still...
Peter Venkman
- I don't know why, but I really hated the "If I asked you to jump through a hoop of fire..." line. I'm afraid I don't like the attitude of that.
Ichigo
-->
Paradoxombie
- Ichigo had vague posts and a general lurker attitude. Paradoxombie does seem incredibly scummy. It may be newbie-ness, I'm not sure, but
IGMEOY

Vryklan
-->
CrashTextDummie
- Vryklan didn't post much, and I don't get much of a vibe from CTD, so I can't really comment here.

Paradoxombie is the only current player I distinctly think is Scum, and gorckat is the only current player I distinctly think is Townie. Everyone else I have a general middle ground on, in that I have no real reason to suspect them.

@Gorkcat: I thought of this. But I figured the different views from each person could be a point of discussion. I was clearly wrong!

What your saying is you basically have no real handle on the game.

What do you mean no vibe on CTD? He's been a fairly prolific poster.

There's no need to put it so bluntly, but yeah! I've only read through the topic once, which is enough to form a basic opinion. I will develop my opinion through re-reads, but it is highly likely that I will play the game, mainly, using events which have transpired
since my arrival
, which means I will likely be forgiving towards any mistakes may have made.
Gorckat wrote:Thanks for your effort!

He has been, but, IMO, his posts seem to be fairly balanced overall. And by "no vibe" I meant "nothing major pushing him either pro- or anti-town."

That is a mean thing to say to someone. You try sitting down and reading 800 posts in one afternoon. It is hard to keep everyone straight when you aren't involved. Do
YOU
even have a "real" handle on this game? When was the last time you made a recap of every player?

@SomeStrangeFlea> Thanks for replacing, and THANK YOU for
actually
reading through the thread. It is tough to keep people straight, and when dealing with us in the future you might find the "sort by player" function helpful.
SomeStrangeFlea wrote:Peter Venkman - I don't know why, but I really hated the "If I asked you to jump through a hoop of fire..." line. I'm afraid I don't like the attitude of that.
Peter Venkman wrote:If I asked you to jump through a hoop of fire to prove you are town I can
ask
that. The point isn't to see if you actually jump through the hoop, the point is to see how you react.
This was in response to Paradox moaning about unfair demands from other players. I don't think it is wise to limit ourselves to a certain style of questions. Sometimes the
way
a player reacts is more important than
what
he says. Getting that reaction might require unorthodox methods.

I don't understand why this quote, of all my posts, is your only highlight for me.

In conclusion: I fully expect you to jump through a hoop of fire. Right now. If you don't do it, you are scum.

Firstly, thanks! The search by player function is useful, but then it's hard to get posts in the context of other posts, which kinda sucks.

I understand why you said what you said, and I am intrigued at his response, and am thus grateful to you for it. I just personally didn't like it. That's just my opinion on the tone of the post. I agree with your reasoning behind it.

And, as for why it seems to be the highlight, upon my read through the thread, there were three things that stood out:
1. The "Do Townies want to die?" argument.
2. The arrival of Thesp.
3. Paradoxombie's reasonably poor attempts at defending himself.

Those were the things I
thought stood out
could distinctly remember afterwards. I was tired...

This wasn't a real attack of flea. It shows that he read the thread, which is always a good thing. :)

I would like to hear a bit more from laterus (I'm not expecting a play-by-play recap of the game), his top 2 or 3 suspects would help. I know he said peter gave him weird vibes but a little more would help.

I'm intrigued to hear the justification behind this.

From my end:

The first time, he said I was suspect (without flippig back to the last page for his exact words) and I wanted to make sure he wanted to stick with that line before I defended myself.

This time, I wanted to give him a little kick (my vote) since he said he'd contribute.

I don't like his willingness to lay back, but given his join date, I'm willing to give him a little benefit of the doubt as far what's "expected" of him as far as posting and activity.

I'm still leaning towards xombie and you, although my opinions of Lat are currently in the lower end of town/nuetral. He might make my third candidate.

Could we get some votes on DeathSauce, please? Surely I'm not the only one bothered by his refusal to cooperate.

Prediction: the next person to put a vote on Deathsauce will be accused (by Deathsauce) of acting as CTD's scumbuddy.

My vote on Raffles was a lingering lurk-pressure vote.

Unvote
