I don't think it was unreasonable to think it was a reading error, no. (Though, incidentally, I don't think it's necessarily right to give someone a free pass for attacking someone based on not reading their posts right, either). There's a difference between 'think' and 'state as fact' though.
On AlSleet- yes. But the subject of his #32 has been pretty well covered, I think.-

And you think SirWario was scummy despite Rishi's claiming that it was in fact a reading error?
I'm just not seeing why you are finding it suspicious of SirWario to think I was making something out of nothing -- Iwasn't, but I can see him thinking that I was -- Rishi making a reading error was, to me, by far the most obvious inference that could be made from his statement, and he confirmed that it was a reading error.

Well, yes. Since the thing I have a problem with is taking Rishi's explanation entirely at face value without any caveats, or giving an explanation in the manner that you did:Guardian wrote:And you think SirWario was scummy despite Rishi's claiming that it was in fact a reading error?
I don't see how Rishi saying it was an error ought to make me less likely to think this.OK. I see no reason not to take this at face value.-

xerbez, do you find me the most likely player to be scum? If so, why?
ac1983, I think we've established that I've been anythingbutdefensive -- where are you getting that from?
I'm sick of the joking phase. The joking phase has long been over in my mind. Jokes should die. <-dry humor, but true .
I am still wondering what I think about The Fonz's stance on Rishi's misreading to me. I thought by far the most logical thing to assume was a misread. I asked to get things started and see if Rishi responded that it wasn't a misread.Do not lynch me.

Well, passing yourself off as an aggressive townie could be used to eliminate suspicion that you're scum. It's like the argument that he acts too townie, therefore he is scum. It's a possibility, I'm not saying that he's scum for definite because of that. The Fonz wrote:
Well, no ______ sherlock. It happened overnight.Rishi wrote: So, The Fonz, you've been quiet through this discussion. What do you think?
A few thoughts- firstly, being aggressive is not a scum tell, and never has been. Also, can't see how Guardian's posts have been 'defensive' at all.
I really don't like Wario thus far. Stating as fact that Rishi's '3/7 is not 50/50' was a reading error doesn't sit well.
Don't like this one bit. How exactly does it 'cover up' for that fact? Being aggressive draws attention to yourself. I don't exactly consider it a town tell (because most players are either aggressive or not depending on playstyle, regardless of alignment) but it does make for better games imho.Al wrote:Besides, being really agressive can be you covering for the fact that you're scum yourself.I drink everyone's milkshake.-

I didn't say definitely. I said I THINK he did.Guardian wrote:

Do you also find AlSleet scummy for the same reason? He also said Rishi definitely misread.
Also, do you think that it was unreasonable of SirWario to think Rishi's mistake was a misread?I drink everyone's milkshake.-

responding to anything and everything on page 2 is overdefensive in my mind...Guardian wrote: ac1983, I think we've established that I've been anythingbutdefensive -- where are you getting that from?

You didn't need to. 'I won't hold his typing error against him' conveys no doubt whatsoever that it was a typing error.
You're actually comparing your argument to 'Too Townie?' 'Too townie' is a terrible, terrible argument and anyone using it should instantly be lynched, and not in the game either. Sure, looking like an aggressive townie, or indeed any kind of townie, is a good way to eliminate suspicion that you're scum. There's a very good reason for that.AlSleet wrote: Well, passing yourself off as an aggressive townie could be used to eliminate suspicion that you're scum.
