Well I'm here, can't speak for everyone else. Are we just too scared to make a decision or have 5 players simultaneously disappeared?

Trouble is, this game slowed down before it could leave the random voting phase, which kills the game entirely...

JDodge: it's not like there's no content at all. How about a comment on the statistics from page 2, and maybe what your preferred strategy is? There's more to this particular game than just voting for the person you find scummy.

If you're not going to strategise at least a little in a game with a potential instant town loss then you're not going to be very helpful.

O RLY?

Wouldn't that mean that I would be mostly unhelpful in any closed setup where there is potential for Jester/Lyncher?

Open 25 is a good example of what I mean.

Glancing at Open 25, it was won by the Jester (which was not you). What's your point?

Yes, but I was somewhat helpful; I did eventually figure out the remaining scum. Your claim that I would be unhelpful is unwarranted.

JDodge: You've just proven my point, which is that scumhunting alone is not going to win the game. We need to also consider strategies to avoid letting the lyncher win.

i'm sleepy, but that sounded really scummy to me, i don't make plans, write down peoples names in a paper or any other complex strategy, i just let the game flow and do my job
Never discuss with an idiot, he'll take it to his level and win due to experience.

In sports, it's not important to win or lose, but to get drunk.

Nobody's talking about a complex strategy, did you even read the quote you just posted? I said "If you're not going to strategise
at least a little
". I'm not expecting essays, just some indication that people are aware of the win/lose conditions that we're facing and are adjusting their play as necessary.

Missing 2 weeks messes up your pace.

Hopefully I'll be back to a normal activity level soon.

Does this mean we can start playing again? I'll repeat myself: there is plenty of stuff in my posts that could be commented upon.

Uh, hello?

I knew who the remaining scum was. I was
nightkilled in that game
before I had the chance to show that.

How does that = strategy is necessary?

STRATEGY IS 100% NECESSARY!

This game setup demands strategizing, fool. I strongly suspect you're one of two targeting people.

Those people, by the way, are the ones we should be looking for. Play the game like a normal game, but hold off any lynches. The two lyncher variations will have to do something eventually; once trends start forming and it's obvious someone wants a particular person lynched, we lynch them.

Much as I agree, I don't see where the "two lyncher variations" are. We only have one lyncher in this game, and two potential game-ending targets (the GF and the lyncher's target).

Do I get bonus points for recalling what I thought was probably the setup from when Kelly suggested it rather than taking 20 seconds to read the first post?

Okay, well, we should be looking for anyone who's pushing too hard and not pushing hard enough. Requires a decent level of activity from everyone....

However, if someone is lurking and we have no obvious leads, I'm going to preemptively
FoS: Them
, because the 2 most important people are the goon and the lyncher.

I propose that we strictly enforce a requirement of no one defending themself; rather, anyone who appears scummy should be defended by their fellow players. This way, we'll be looking at who people want alive and dead in a totally unbiased fashion.

Why do you say that the goon is more important than the godfather?

(This is a genuine question, I'm not sure if that was a typo or if there's something I missed)

Because if we go with y plan of not letting anyone defend themselves, then the goon will need to protect the GF.
