I've also seen this used as a night ability, rather than any-time ability. The role is a slight positive, but not by much; the main time you'd want to trigger it would be if you were about to be lynched.

So it's just an early self-hammer? why would you do that?

I'd be targeting likely vig targets if I had that role - nothing wrong with stealing the credit from a vig for a good shot, unless the watcher was trying to confirm a vig of course.

Why? What's wrong with a watcher watching themselves (or at least allowing it).

Self vigging should be allowed too, really.

The same as why a doctor can't self doc, it gives an unfair advantage to them.
-unless self usage was programed into the balance of a game.

But I guess the only role that would actually cause any bother to a game (mod) is a jailkeeper. - all other roles would work ok if applied to yourself.

Though I don't know what would happen if a tracker/watcher was watching you roleblock yourself as a roleblocker.

It would depend on the order in which the mod locks the thread. (some do it before posting, some might post and lock at the same time (obviously evil in this scenario) and occasionally one might end up locking after posting? (which would be the best case for that role)

Whenever the mod makes an error in a vote count, it's corrected in the opposite direction to the one that would correct it (e.g. if a player is shown as having 3 votes on them but only 2 people are voting for them, that player now has 4 votes on them). This is effectively done via adding Loved or Hated modifiers that show on the votecount (i.e. change number of votes, not threshold) and only last for the day.

So when I stuff up and put the wrong person as the voter, they become a double vote stealer?
