Yes, if someone is about to be lynched, I want them to claim so we can properly evaluate/discuss. What's wrong with that?

Well, he cant get on the Schis wagon, he's getting no where with his ride on the AlSleet wagon, so what else is there to do but start your own?
It's good AISleet didn't claim since he is not on the line here. I didn't know the actual vote count at the time of my post. Not sure what you mean by "I'm getting nowhere with my ride on the AISleet bandwagon"? What is that supposed to mean? If I was scum, why not just stand pat? I voted for you because you continued acting scummy. I took the risk of looking slightly suspicious in order to change my vote to the player I feel is the best lynch for today, which is Ecto. I don't think that move makes sense for a scum, but now I am venturing into WIFOM territory.
Not a bad answer OTM, but as we know in Mafia, actions can often be interpreted in varying ways. I acknowledge your statement that any action can be read as scum if you begin with that assumption. Anyhow, I only quoted the above section because something caught my eye.
I'm harrassing you about pressing for a claim, and you ask what is wrong with it. But then further down, you say "It's good AlSleet didnt claim.", seemingly contradicting yourself. The reason I stated as I did, "you were getting nowhere with your ride on AlSleet", is that AlSleet at the time was a wagon losing steam. If you were scum, and AlSleet town, and you felt you couldnt get a lynch, then the next best thing is to get a role claim and hope you expose a power role while AlSleet still feels enough pressure that he might feel the need to claim.
That was my point in a nutshell there.
Now to answer your question to me, "If I was scum, why wouldnt I just stand pat?". Why would you stay on a wagon losing steam if scum? If you stay there, and then move to the active wagon at the last minute, you look opportunistic. If you only jump on active wagons, you get accused of "active lurking" and "going with the crowd". That leaves you the choice of finding new targets so that you can avoid both of those accusations and pave the way for a push on your next target after a lynch today. You then avoid the argument you seem to be trying to use on me, which is an accusation "from out of nowhere". Of course that is a bit of a WIFOM answer, but then again, it was a WIFOM question, was it not?
I have a degree in bullshit. I have patents on entire lines of bullshit. So don't sit here and feed me a line of bullshit and think that I'm not going to recognize it as one.
