Nightson, what's your take on all this .. ?
I guess now saving the revival would be a smarter thing to do, the only thing is though the question of Albert's sanity for 1 .. and 2 .. It wouldn't be that hard for Albert to make such a gambit the first day as the roles aren't being disclosed at this present time .. Albert could've been pushing for the revival to see if it was going to go anywhere, and since it didn't, claimed cop as he thought he'd at least get away with it for a little while. Just a thought. I'm not saying that I believe him/don't, but I wouldn't mind hearing thoughts from most of the players on possible sanity and what not.-

Nanook practically said what I was thinking. Yes we all know that if we lynch Nightson we won't find out his role and therefore have no way of confirming Albert's claim. On the other hand I don't think scum would claim cop so early in the game, maybe later it would be plausible but not day 1.
I was also wondering about Albert's sanity which in a game like this is in no way guaranteed and I would also like to hear Nightson's response to the accusation which will help us gague Albert's sanity providing his claim is legit."A genius is a talented person who does his homework" - Thomas Edison-

RafK: Is your information Yosarian-specific, or Night 1-specific, or before-revive-specific, or some other thing? In other words, suppose the Night 1 death were let's say The Fonz, and nothing else changed; would you still be saying what you have been?I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons-

THis sounds a bit rolefishy to me. Why does that matter?the silent speaker wrote:RafK: Is your information Yosarian-specific, or Night 1-specific, or before-revive-specific, or some other thing? I'm egyptologist Howard Carter (the one who discovered King Tut's tomb) and Albert is either lying or insane (nonsane cop).
Albert. Flavor claim. Now."Faust complained about having two souls in his breast, but I harbor a whole crowd of them and they quarrel. It is like being in a republic." ~Otto von Bismarck-

Not so fast. There needs to be a majority that agrees. And I am suspicious of your claim, even tough flavor doesn't necessarily always make sense.Nightson wrote:I'm egyptologist Howard Carter (the one who discovered King Tut's tomb) and Albert is either lying or insane (nonsane cop).

I have role information on Albert (which is an amusing coincidence), so I want his flavor to see if it coincides with my information. Hence not revealing more until he flavor claims because I still think there's a good chance he's scum and I'm not going to help him come up with anything. The Fonz wrote:
I'd rather he didn't, at least not immediately. What's your actual role?Nightson wrote:I'm egyptologist Howard Carter (the one who discovered King Tut's tomb) and Albert is either lying or insane (nonsane cop).

Okay.RafK wrote:Yeah. The only way it's wrong is if I'm being bastard-modded (I even checked with the mod to make sure I'm reading him correctly, and he confirmed to me I did, so it's not just a misundertstanding or anything). I have absolutely no reason to believe I'm being bastard-modded.
Well, then, whatever the case, I'd say it is highly likely (with 99% certainty) that we shouldn't revive Yos. I don't think there's anything that's going to make RafK possibly sacrifice himself to not get Yos revived. It doesn't mean RafK is town, but it does mean that we shouldn't revive Yos.

Yes, that's fine, I go by that all the time but it made me wonder that you were saying in alot of your posts "it seems off" but without much other comment.Phoebus wrote:If there was an explanation to "off" other than an intuitive sense, I would've explained it, né?
As for the Albert/ Nigthson interaction I'm inclined to believe that Nightson's name claim is accurate because in a game like this name claiming is very risky."A genius is a talented person who does his homework" - Thomas Edison-

I think the direct opposite. It's a character that could be in the game, but would not be in my top 30 choices for that.Pinky wrote:As for the Albert/ Nigthson interaction I'm inclined to believe that Nightson's name claim is accurate because in a game like this name claiming is very risky.
I don't even know if there are any roles in the game from present times. Mgm suggests not in the queue thread:
So what I'm saying is basically the cop claim plus weak role claim is good enough for me to lynch Nightson today.MGM wrote:I've been announcing this one for years, but it's finally happening. I will be running Egypt Mafia. Evil will come to the Upper and Lower Kingdom of Egypt and both the gods and the ordinary mortals of Egypt will have to join forces to defeat the threat.
vote:Nightson
I also have no problem with Albert nameclaiming (I assume that's what people mean with flavour claim) and hear what Nightson has to say about that. It gives up very little if Albert is cop and Nightson is scum, but might benefit us a lot if that is not the case.-

Howard Carter is a very weak claim. Not only was he, in a way "evil" (as, if memory serves me well, he took the artifacts from Tutanchamon's tomb with him to England), he's not an Egyptian, as the opening post suggests we all are.ShowFinished: 159 (120 Town, 33 Mafia, 5 Other, 1 Cult, 4 Cultivated)
