How so?

I asked Korran a valid question considering his previous posts.

I kept my vote on you for shameless bandwagonning. As I felt you were scummier.

I replied with good taste to Korran's OMGUS.

Haha..man I love Theo and I hate Theo. Anyway, OMGUS = Oh My God You Suck.

It means your voting him out of revenge.

Schis is an idiot and a bad town player so your vote is wasted on him.

@xyz: I don't think forcing claim this early is a good strategy at all. This is not a theme game so the mafia can easily claim townie or some rare roles and it's hard to find out whether they are telling the truth.

I am not a fan of exposing our power roles so that we can "find discrepancies". If we lynch a counterclaimed cop and find that we actually had two cops, then we're up a certain creek without a paddle. You can't say that "we'll get one scum for every power role" because Mafia doesn't work that way. People lie and deceive and aren't entirely truthful. All that power role hunting does is expose power roles to be picked off by the mafia while letting them sit back and give themselves cover.

I have no personal vendettas, I am an evangilist of honesty. Something that commonly dies in people. Anyway Xyzzy, it is a bad idea. You know this and I know you know this, because I know how good of a player you are. Your either some retarded lynch role or mafia trying to blend in with the newbies. Well, a Plan C occured to me. You're measuring reactions. I think that this is not the right way to go about it. All you are doing is finding out who is new and who isn't.

So which is it my good friend: A,B, or C?

A mix of C and D, D being what I said in the first place.

Honestly, the most successful strategy is to severely punish those who do anything, because under pressure, scum players turn into flailing idiots.

Meh, I think that's only true if they are idiots to begin with. I still think your plan sucks, and I think you know it sucks. This is either bad town play or it is scummy.

I can see where the advantage would be with putting pressure on the scum and exposing them. But it's such an uncertain strategy and, in my opinion, a good scum can easily manipulate someone's reaction and mislead the town. I just wouldn't want to risk giving up town power roles so early in the game either.

I'm seeing it like that too. Basically, the pressure is put on each person until they claim, and we're looking for discrepancies. Basically, it's a mass claim.

I don't favor a mass claim now; it exposes our power roles too early, and scum can just hide behind realistic fake claims. In the right circumstances, though, I would be all for it.

Panzer nice to see you too.

Schistmatized is new, how is he a bad town player and not say scum? Xyzzy's play bewilders me slightly - I certainly would rather we push scummy players than anyone in particular. Still happy with my vote. Korran apologies if I was overly harsh . . . wanted to test a few reactions, yours mainly.

still happy with my vote on theopor. it doesnt seem like hes said anything worth saying so far.. he has just belittled other players and thrown is vote with seemingly no motive. I know it is still somewhat early in the game and randomness is okay but still..

Hmm... I don't think mass claims are the solution. I don't know enough about xyzzy (or how the games generally go) to judge his true intent though...

Schism, I'm casting suspicion off you. Especially if I get
Finger of Suspicion
ed. Don't be dense. So I understand that he is new but new players have logic. When he start using bad/scum logic, I will be suspicious. For no he is using Newbie logic. That is all I was saying by "letting him slide." And it is a known fact that people who are better then either of us(xyzzy) let newbies slide(to an extent).
