Honestly, if he were scum I don't think either him or schismatized would be so blatant about bandwagoning someone so soon with the actual purpose of lynching. And it's been the only thing so far that seems like an effort to benefit the town, so I'm not passing any judgment yet.

Now this would be completely worth it if the rest of you could identify all of the quicklynchers as scum, but it's also easy for them to claim ignorance and say they were just trying to increase the pressure, etc etc... it gets a little risky when the bandwagon gets to 4 or 5.

Like I said, I don't think putting pressure on someone is necessarily scummy. Surely the scum wouldn't be stupid enough to think they could sway everyone to lynch randomly so early. And, as Panzerjager pointed out, in the unlikely even that that does happen, we have a much better idea of who the scum are.

We get people to claim, and once we find discrepancies, we lynch the offending parties. We'll probably reveal about one scum to every power role, but once we've found all the scum, power roles aren't too important.

This is not a pro-town strategy. I understand what you're trying to do, and it is not a bad idea, but it works a lot better if you find someone acting scummy and then force

them

to claim. Then you actually have a decent chance at finding a dishonest claim.

With your strategy of just picking people at random and making them claim, you are gonna go through 3 - 4 pro-town players before you stumble across a scum and you are just going to cause chaos and the revealing of power roles.

Random bandwagons are fine for starters if we have nothing else to go on, but I don't think we're at that point yet.

Xyzzy seemed a little too happy to put people at L-3, Rather than just unvote and let my vote do nothing, I moved it off OTM so he's back to L-4, and onto Xyzzy, whom is now also at L-4.

Hypocritical? Possible. But in reality, I took my purely random vote off OTM and put it on someone whom I'm not comfortable with due to their play in this game. I wasn't attempting to be hypocritical, but I may have been.
