One thing I'd like to say at this time:
bolded for emphasisOccult wrote:A note to the innocents,DON'T TRUST THE PRIESTS. If you see some maniac exorcising everything in sight, stay as far the hell away from him (or her).
bold for emphasisOccult wrote:-Innocents are basically townies
-Priests are SKs that need to just kill mafia to win (though they take out townspeople to reach that goal)
-Ghosts are similar to mafia.I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't think that the priests are our friends. When we receive signs this clear from the mod, it is foolish not to lend them proper weight. At the very best, they don't care about killing innocents as long as they kill ghosts. Remember, they don't need us alive to win.

There's been a lot of posting since my last read through!
I'm going to stay away from the Doll room. I'd like to keep my item. I also wonder if being "scared" has any effect.
Anyway, ChaosOmega and Khelvaster, if you can post, tell us what's going on in the Bloody Cage Room. I'd like to know what's going on in there, and neither ChaosOmega nor Khelvaster has spoken up yet. If they don't answer, someone should probably go to investigate.-

This is true, and I apologize. I was searching the room and a seductive voice whispering in my ear coaxed me to push the switch. Yagami, did you perhaps see anything that could be construed as "seductive" in the Master Bedroom? Maybe a succubus or siren?Grek wrote:I saw TheGreg push a switch. I'm not sure the Death Note will work on Fifi. I don't pretend to know anything about the source material, but the links Xdaamno provided made one thing quite clear:
Fifi is a doll. Doll =/= Human. I'm quite interested to see what happens if you specify a COD on your target, though.TheHumanwhose name is written in this note shall die.-

Blackberry's claim is most certainly interesting. I say we trust him for now, since those with him in the Nursery will be able to see what he's up to, and if he keeps his word, we leave him alive. We should definitely keep multiple people in the room with him to ensure his cooperation, though.
There's just one thing I want to know now: What is your exact win condition? Kill all innocents? All non-ghosts? Everyone (including the other ghost group)?-

Wait a minute...
When I asked earlier about how much damage priests took from exorcism:
Now:Mokina wrote:Priests take a measly one damage.
Huh?Mokina wrote:My exorcisms are nerfed and only do 2 damage to priests...
Another thing:
Heh, can't really blame you for thinking I'm a ghost based on this, since I'm the only one who is completely healthy, but I do have a good reason for not being injured. Observe...Khelvaster wrote:I should have phrased what I siad better...people at high or full life are probably ghosts. I suspected Jordan for being at full life, he was a ghost. I suspected JDODGE, he is a ghost (according to blackberry.)
Thus, The Greg should also be a ghost.
My sword will kill The Greg whether or not he is a ghost (12 to ghosts, 10 to townies,) so I will go ahead and kill jdodge while some priests exorcise greg. Does that sound good?Occult wrote:Who's Where Update

Mirrorland-Mokina
Abyssal Plain-Corpse
The Creek-Grek,
Forbidden Forest-YagamiLight,
I'm not so keen on having all of the priests exorcise one person. Since we are all together and cannot escape, it seems it would be better for anyone who has a weapon dealing relatively low damage to innocents (this includes priest exorcisms) to attack someone not confirmed. That way we maximize the info we get while negating the possibility that all the priests will waste their time and HP on what is potentially a wild goose chase. Does anyone remember who is and isn't confirmed at this point?
On a separate note, I found a rather interesting item last round: a book titled THE NINE GATES. I have no idea what it does. Thoughts anyone? Should I use it and see if something happens?-

I'd just like to express my distrust of both JDodge and Khelvaster at this time. Khelvaster because he's a bit sword-happy for my liking. JDodge because he's confirmed as either a priest or ghost, neither of which are trustworthy.
As to my own status, I will say this: If I die, thewill be at a distinct disadvantage. Trust me, innocents want me alive.innocents-

: When reading the victory conditions of the different roles, did you think it at all odd that priests and innocents had different win conditions, even though they were functionally the same? Innocents have to survive by eliminating all threats. Priests have to eliminate all ghosts. If these two conditions are the same, why word them differently? I thought it was odd until I got my role PM. I am aMy own rolemillerBenevolent Ghost. More specifically, the Ghost Child. I was killed when the servants (the bad ghosts) decided to kill the masters of the house (the good ghosts). I have limited knowledge of switches, I only know the switch that killed me, the Teddy switch activated from the Doll Doom (I died in the Nursery). My partner, the master of the house, was killed by the Incubus Switch activated from the Nursery.
As for my ability, when I was alive, I learned to magically animate the toys that I played with. When I died, that power increased, and I can reanimate dead players, but only if they are in the nursery. I can also drag bodies (everyone will know if I am dragging a body).
: Part of this comes from my own status as a ghost. My partner (whom I will not reveal) and I, being ghosts, are part of the priests' victory condition (i.e. They have to kill us to win). This is only a small part of my reasons to distrust the priests, though, since I don't have to be alive to win, I just have to ensure that at least one innocent survives. My main reason for distrusting the priests comes from looking at game theory. What if the priests decided to drop all pretense and kill every non-priest? Early on, this strategy isn't really viable, since they are greatly outnumbered, but the closer we get to endgame as more innocents are killed off, the more this becomes a good strategy for the priests. Looking at the stats for most of the weapons in the game, priests take less damage than innocents, so in an otherwise even competition, innocents can't stand up to them in combat, so the battle will inevitably be priests vs ghosts, with the innocents getting caught in the middle and slaughtered. It is this sort of endgame that I hope to avoid. I'm not saying we adopt a "kill all priests" strategy, but we should certainly keep an eye on them. This is why I am supportive of killing JDodge. If he's a ghost, killing him helps my win condition. If he's a priest, killing him has no effect on my win condition (I only care about innocents), and helps to avoid the endgame scenario I described. Why to distrust priests
That being said, if we eliminate all threats, I will willingly submit myself to be exorcised rather than risk a war with the priests which could potentially harm innocents. Again, my win condition does not specify that I must be alive.-

Yeah, sorry. The Nameless Demon is my bad. I tried using THE NINE GATES on Blackberry (I was told I could declare a target, but not whether or not doing so would change the effect). The Nameless Demon "popped out of THE NINE GATES." That is the extent of my knowledge of it. As far as I know I have no control over it, and I don't know if it brought us here.
Alright, who stabbed me? I'm guessing Autolode was the one that shot me (see if I ever resurrect him ), but stabbing could be several people.Occult wrote:TheGreg

Not that it matters this turn, but I should probably clarify my resurrection ability, since a few seem to have the wrong idea. When I resurrect someone, they become a ghost on my team, but cannot speak privately with us. They have 4 HP, and count as a ghost. (On that note, I can confirm that ghosts do turn to ash when dead.) They cannot carry items, but have an attack that deals 1 damage regardless of alignment.
Anyway,Move: Evil Dining Room.-

I'm still playing to win so yes I am sticking with the innocents.
As for the current situation, I'd say it has its pros and cons. On the one hand, the baddies have started banding together, which will strengthen them. On the other hand, we now have a clear target, so we won't be pointlessly damaging each other in our attempts to find ghosts.-

I loved this game too, and I for one don't think it was unbalanced in favor of the ghosts. Innocents played too aggressively in the early game and not aggressively enough in the mid to late game. The fact that I survived as long as I did is proof of that. I was caught pulling a switch and later claimed ghost and still was deemed "pro-innocent" by most of the innocents (not all of course, since I was attacked that round, but I should have been dead on the spot).
Blackberry, I honestly didn't think your claiming ghost gambit would work, but in the end, you salvaged a win for us. Well done! And congrats to the rest of my fellow ghosts as well, good teamwork all!
Out of curiosity, what did Khelvaster find that made him so powerful?! And how was he eventually brought down? He was god-like for a while there.-

I KNEW it! I was invisible in the Library when you checked, but you never mentioned seeing me. I actually thought you were making up the whole Lense of Truth story, but then I remembered you got attacked in the Bathroom because you looked there, so I was confused as hell as to why you didn't blow my cover.YagamiLight wrote:
I made up everything invisible I "saw" after the bathroom incident. Also, I only ever touched you and coolbot.Albert B. Rampage wrote:Is that all you've made up ? I practically bluffed when I said I killed PBuG and Guzame. Never touched anyone the whole damn game, except that one dude when the lights went off. The guardian angel thing didn't do a damn thing.
