Assassin in the Palace


This game is kind of weird; it's the scum who is in the dark.

There is 1 King.
There are 3 (or more) Guards. They all know who the King is. If the King is lynched or venge killed, the King and Guards all lose. They must lynch the Assassin without having him then kill the King.

There is 1 Assassin. He wins if the King dies, even if he dies himself. He gets a vengeful kill if lynched, but he doesn't get a nightkill. (No nights.)

The Assassin can make a
suicide attack: _______
if he believes he knows who the King is and doesn't want to wait for the town to lynch him.

Yeah I don't think this game is random at all, I just think it's incredibly easy for the town to drop the ball and keep on dropping it.

It's also probably an extremely difficult setup for the assassin to win, due to the fact that slip-ups in this game should result in an immediate lynch. If we assume randomness, it might be fairly balanced. Info is it's downfall.
However if you lynch the Assassin for a slip-up, if it's a slip-up of any consequence he should be able to guess what it was and use it to nail the king.

Or what kind of slip-up do you have in mind?

I don't think this game would be much harmed by additional guards. I don't think a larger town makes the town that much stronger here.

And simultaneously the Assassin is less likely to get wagoned.

But the main thing is that the scum only ever has to kill one person, and if either he slips up (and gets lynched) or a townie slips up (too much info) then the scum's odds are pretty good.
