Voting randomly as a post restriction would fail. A person with this PR can simply vote a real vote, and pretend that it's random. The mod wouldn't know whether he's faking.

It doesn't mean that players who post a lot are good/not scum. I refer you to open 4 where IH-scum posted the most. I'm sure there're more examples out there. In fact, we shouldn't even be discussing who-and-who shouldn't be lynched strategically... we should just go after the scummies.

I'm of the opinion that Jack isn't scum. This is mainly because I can't imagine scum doing what he has done. (Yes, I'm aware that this is wifomish.) Jack seems more like a weird player instead, but not necessarily scum.

Hm... I'm not getting both cases here.

Cubansmoker seems like he's rushing for a lynch, but it's pretty obvious he wasn't being serious. Same as Skruff accusing HD. Unlike Mert, I don't see anything 'Skruffs insistence at being set up'. The only thing Skruffs said seriously was that he was going to pay more attention to cuban, which is normal.

I'm dropping cubansmoker because I think it's due to a difference in our playstyles, not because it's scummy. I'll probably meta-game a little, care to reference any games?

Skruffs: I don't like the case you presented in your latest post for cubsfan. It ties cubsfan and yamahako a little too early in the game I think (day 1), and it also presumes that the 2 of them are scum.

I'm more-or-less apathetic about the lynch for today.

I don't want Jack to be lynched, because he's been active and he can be read.

I also don't want mert to be lynched, mainly because Mert wasn't nitpicking, and because I don't think he's scummy for bringing up the PR thing. This close to deadline, I don't think scum would have brought that up since it's unlikely it'll lead to a lynch considering we've been over that.

My list currently has Andrew at the top. I'm not really happy with this, because I've seen scum-tells, but not a strong case for being lynched, but I have nothing else to go on.

vote: Andrew

Now that Andrew's role is confirmed, I realise that my assumption of his role name was wrong. I do not wish to clarify further, and no, I'm not doing a soft-claim or breadcrumb or anything else in this post.

I skimmed through. Why are we speculating whether the doc killed someone? I'm assuming either mafia/sk killed the vig/replacer, mafia/sk killed the vig, the vig killed the replacer. We shouldn't rule out the possibility of an sk.

The case for yama is him voting for someone he didn't find scummy. Yama answered by saying he did that to prevent a no lynch. The issue here is that Yama didn't present an alternative lynch target (if he did, he wasn't forceful enough about it.)

I voted him for that + trying to evade responsiblity.

"have voted" --> in the past.
"can never seem to justify" --> no reason.

I don't think Mert is suspicious because of the case laid out by cuban. I know that there are plenty of people in this forum who get jumpy every time claiming is suggested, and Mert could simply be one of them. As a matter of fact, if I didn't want to claim first, I'd also have jumped at it. Simply because name-claiming, if the order is not done properly, and not well-discussed, often helps scum to out power roles.

I really don't like how Yama is trying to explain his behaviour regarding AndrewS though. Either you thought he's scummy, or you don't think he's scummy. You can't have some "small" suspicion against him, and fail to lay it out further.

I was pretty implicit at trying to get a lynch on Cubsfan yesterday, but he was
out of town
so people didn't want to get on the wagon.

It really sucks to lose about 2 pages of discussion :-/ I was making a case against Cubsfan and he was trying to detrail with craplogic - there wasn't a real case against me before the crash - though many people were asking me questions asking me to clarify my points.

Yamahako: is your case for cubsfan based purely on he's low activity? In that case, there're more people guilty of that.

(As a purely out-of-point side note, I really wish Skruffs and I would stop being in the same games... considering I still can't read him :))

I'm thinking cubs is scummy, not because of the push on him, but because I think that his actions are scummy. Also, that latest post of his stinks of scumminess.

I want zu_faul to claim first. There has been some evidence (that I originally didn't get) that UT was hinting at a powerful role.

If you don't claim first, and you end up counter-claiming scum, we'd lynch you too by your logic.

I agree that the claim is pure scum.

I do not agree that we need more claims today. We can always push on for more claims tomorrow if necessary.

Yamahako: True, but only if the discussion doesn't revolve around claiming, like it has been.

I don't like the idea of claiming. All we're doing is outing power roles.

True, we could force the scum to fake-claim, but we could also do that tomorrow, while scum have to agonise over who to kill tonight if we don't out the power roles.

Thinking over mert's post, I'm fine with claiming now.

Haven't we already agreed that we need more information today before the lynch?

So we have zu scum + thrawn scum. I agree. Let's get on the claim fest since we've used it to out 2.

I have already claimed vanilla townie. I was the first to claim because I thought I had role-claimed when I flavour claimed very early day 1.

Based on yesterday's play, I'd agree that yamahako is most likely to be scum.

Not voting zu_faul till we get some discussion.

Skruffs is either a gf or town. I do not believe he is the gf. So we're left with me, Shanba, and yamahako. I believe it's yamahako too, and I'll be detailing reasons tomorrow.

Waiting for yamahako to appear before dropping the hammer.

My reason for thinking yamahako is scummy:
- for trying to prolong the lynch yesterday by repeatedly calling for more discussion. True, asking for discussion is generally good. But at that point, we were on the right track. More discussion might have led to derailment of the wagon.

- for trying to get us to not lynch thrawn. One of the most recent was 705, where he attempted to throw doubt on Mert's claim.

I don't like that post of Shanba's either, for the same logic as Skruffs. However, I read it more as a mistake than as a scum-tell. I'll let Shanba reply before I explain why (it's based on what I think Shanba was thinking.)

Can anyone provide a game reference to a mini with a mafia roleblocker and a godfather? (this is for my own knowledge mainly, I believe Skruffs is innocent.)

Things that I feel are important: Shanba defending thrawn's claim. However, I also like the way Shanba responded to Skruffs 756 (I'm referring to the 2nd para.)

I'm going to apply some WIFOM here. If Shanba was scum, why would she go after Skruffs? (who I've already said I thought was pro-town) It would be easier for Shanba to gun for yamahako instead.

I just noticed the large space between zu faul and the rest of us.

On the town side, we have:
doc, vig, replacer, townie, some kind of cop.

On the other sides:
mafia RBer, SK, some kind of mafia (zu faul)

Whether mert was sane or not can be discussed tomorrow after tonight's night kill.

A paranoid cop gets all guilty, and a naive gets all innocent. I thought an insane cop was someone who gets random results? So Mert could be insane, and zu faul could still be scum.

Yipee!

Couple of thoughts:
- Turning up dead was a surprise (considering my really really really bad record at endgames...) Boy am I glad I didn't have to make the choice!
- Good choice by scum on nightkill though, considering the amount of time Skruffs took to decide who he wanted to lynch.
