I believe /setspawn is a native command? I dunno though, I've never tried it, but it is supposed to set your respawn point to where you are without a bed.

i once found an abandoned wooden shack in the middle of the woods. i cant remember if it was the old dw20 server or what. but it was just a shack, no crafting table, torches or anything else. that shack saved my life that night.

Right now, we have the Magicality pack from ATLauncher while we sort out a more permanent modpack. (News! FTB has updated it's client for 1.6 now)

I whitelisted some people from memory, but if you're not on it, Blake, Rob13 or I can add you.

modded server announcement

Modded Minecraft is going 1.6.4

The FTB launcher is starting to release mudpacks for 1.6.4. We will be using the new Direwolf20 pack.

Spoiler: Mod List

To join us:

Download the FTB launcher and update it if necessary.
Select the Direwolf20 mudpack for 1.6.4 v 1.0.2 and click launch to download the pack. Follow any prompts given until Minecraft launches, then exit the game to go back to the launcher.
Download DartCraft version 0.2.13 and save it to FTB/Direwolf20_1_6_4/minecraft/mods

You only have to do this once to set the pack up. Once done, you are ready to play.

Send me a PM with your username for whitelisting (because I don't have the old one).

Launch Minecraft from FTB and use the following IP to connect to the server:

208.167.228.163:25622

If you have any questions or need help with anything, blakewashere is my co-admin, and both of us can usually be found on IRC #mafiacraft.

Modded ServerOk, so the modded server is essentially corrupted and there is no way to fix it. No matter what, a restart is happening.

Now that some of the packs have had time to be tested and updated to recommended versions, I want to know which pack is preferred. Keep in mind there will be 0 additions. The pack will be loaded as is.

Modded Server - Mystcraft Ages

Hey guys! Now that we're in the swing of things and people are starting up with mystcraft, I'm going to start cleaning up every week. I have updated the QT with a list of the ages I know of. Oso also sent me one to delete. The rest are unaccounted for. Deleted ages must also have their book destroyed (thrown in lava or something - Extra Utils has a handy trash can that's great for this too), otherwise, the age will regenerate when you enter it, and who knows what it will be.

If one of the below ages belongs to you and you want to keep it, just let me know and I'll add it to your list (in the QT). Likewise, if one of the ages listed for you is one you don't want or need, let me know so I can add it to the list to be deleted. This will help keep our world running smoothly (more ages = more chance for fuckery).

Mod Dimensional Doors has golden doors that load pockets within pockets and keep the outer pocket loaded. Placing them in OW will create a pocket you can use HOWEVER this is not the intended use and as such, has a pretty horrific consequence.

PLACING A GOLDEN DIMDOOR ANYWHERE

EXCEPT INSIDE A POCKET

HAS A CHANCE OF COMPLETELY REVERTING THE CHUNK TO IT'S ORIGINAL WORLD GEN.

Do not put them anywhere but INSIDE a pocket or you will probably lose everything in the chunk.

Anything world gen isnt really rare, except maybe iridium or hard to see nether ores (damn shadow iron!) But with the mods we have in the pack that add automatic miners and such using a golden door to continually mine ore manually is ridiculous lol

TESTING SERVER!!! WHOO!!

To check out some new things, updates to current mods, etc, I've purchased a testing server. Details are on the blog. You should come help me try out some of these things before we decide on the final product.

modded serverOk guys! ScumPack v2.0 is almost ready. That means the modded server will be restarting. This weekend is the last opportunity to get any screenshots you may want from the current server before we switch to the new pack. I'll be posting the world files, including mods/configs, so you can download it for SSP.

You can also try some things out with the new pack on the testing server, which will be going byebye on April 14. Everyone is set as OP, so creative is a thing, and a great way to test out mods you haven't used before.

All are welcome - no mods required!

We're finished with the testing server we were using to test mods for the new pack (for modded server). That server will be closed on Monday, April 14th.

Before that happens, I thought it might be fun to schedule some kind of community event for this weekend. As of yet, I haven't looked at what kind of event, so it's totally up to you!

Post what kind of event you'd want to participate in, and pick at least two of the time slots listed below that work best for you (can choose more).

I'd like to have at least one day to set it up and prepare. This will be done entirely with Vanilla Minecraft, so anyone can join.

* Saturday late afternoon, 4 pm EST

* Saturday early evening, 6 pm EST

There appears to be some connection issues with the node we're on, so we switched to a new node. The issue is not 100% resolved yet, so there may be intermittent lag or time outs. I'm working on it.

Hey there. Apparently, I guess, the Vanilla server is dead. There are two modded servers

1) Agrarian Skies, running the FTB modpack of the same name. It's a skyblock challenge with mods.

2) ScumCraft, the main modded server, running a custom pack.

Both are survival mode only. AS is pseudo-hardcore mode, meaning if you run out of a set number of lives, you will be unable to log on again. ScumCraft is Normal difficulty.

We do sometimes have events, like a player-made gauntlet, or coordinated dragon runs, but nothing like what I think you're thinking, at least not with any kind of frequency. Generally, we do stuff like that in between pack updates when the server has nothing on it in the interim. It's not really planned.

For a list of the mods, check the blog. There are links on the side-panel to the right for navigating around to the posts you want.

Both servers are whitelist only, so you will need to post your username. As far as using a cracked version, I have no idea if you'd be able to log on or not. We don't have any rules about it; how you access the server is your own business, I'd say, but I think you would need a legit copy of the game on your computer.

Oh I didn't know that. No one taught me how to do that. We tried to have bukkit on the main server but it didn't like the mods and wouldn't work.

EK - the FTB launcher is incredibly easy to use. Literally just download the launcher and select the pack you want to use. If you want to play modded but are a little intimidated by MMC, the AS server is a good one to try.

We actually have skype mafia and IRC mafia (and sometimes, but not lately - site chat mafia). The thread is in General Discussion forums (I'll PM you the link if you're interested).

Most of the people who play on the modded server don't even play mafia, afaik. I think I'm the only one left who still does. Vanilla had more current mafia players, but due to recent schedules/lack of time/money, it has died. I'm sure it will come back when there is more time/interest from the main playerbase.

Agrarian Skies:

This is an FTB modpack server, based on a "quested" Sky Block challenge map.

ScumCraft:

The main modded server which is currently being reworked, but the server itself is still available at the moment.

SP Lite:

This started out as a private pack to show a friend how to play, and it is very light on the mods. It is a

Vanilla experience, if you want it to be.

AFAIK that's standard. We don't use bukkit on modded and it still exists. There's a spawn protection setting in the basic server settings that just needs to be set to 1 in order to prevent that.
