Do you think that repeating that in every post will somehow make it true?
Glork wrote:If Thesp is pro-town, Adele and MGM are so dying next.
On the surface this looked like a blatant attempt to setup future lynches. However, I can sort of understand. I was quite surprised when mgm and Adele both took my side in that debate and quickly went onto voting Thesp like that. It just wasn't really what I was expecting. It leaves me kind of torn, though the bandwagon gives me a better feeling than the one against Andrew yesterday did. I don't think he needs anymore votes yet until we sort out the situation with Ether.

It has nothing to do with taking sides. His response to what you said was just scummy and Glork really is trying to set up future lynches. If he can't lynch me today, he'll try to do it tomorrow.

Don't worry Glork, if I don't get killed off during the night that post is guaranteed to push you back to the top of my suspect list.

Thesp, can you please elaborate on your four "suspicions" for day one, how you arrived at them so easily, and why you picked just one to stick with so completely and drive home to lynch? Were your other suspicions genuine, and if so, why?

Why is Mgm the play, Fritz? (assuming that you think Mgm is the play, which it does look like)

Since that initial list has posted, MGM/Adele have risen to the top of my list. My Ether suspicion is in something of a stasis, and Thesp/CDB have slipped a bit.

EBWODP, Kinda: To clarify a bit, I pretty much agree with Patrick that the fact that MGM/Adele so readily jumped aboard the Thespwagon seems very dubious. Adele took a shot at Ether shortly after I implicated her. I believe (though I may misremember) that she took a shot at CDB around the time he picked up some suspicion. And now that the Thesplynch seems chic, she's climbing aboard for certain. Opportunism galore!

There aren't many
finished
games as scum that I can talk about. (Disclaimer: I may not be scum in etc.....yada yada yada)
Thesp wrote:Why would defensiveness be the only other reaction? I can imagine a number of other conceivable reactions which would all be valid. I'm intrigued by your need to avoid reaction entirely.
If I had reacted to your continuous claims that I was scum, my reaction would have been along the lines of "WTF? You're accusing me for no reason". Your 'accusations' looked to me like scum trying to deliberately incite a defensive reaction, so I was pretty sure that if I did react, you'd have pounced on it. Therefore, I ignored it.
Thesp wrote:This is an excellent question, and one I am not certain I have the answer of. Your response didn't seem to fit that for me.
Yeah, well, excuse me for dismissing this as vague unsubstantiated scumposting.
Thesp wrote:I still think your silence on D1 while a townie was being run up (which you'd put your vote on early, then did not detract from nor push for) is notable, and I'm surprised no one else is jumping on it.
They're not jumping on it because
you
were
pushing it, with gusto. That's scummier, IMO.
Thesp wrote:
Zindaras wrote:I doubt that CDB is the only one who was silent Day One.
That makes it right, then.
No, but it makes it weird that you're singling me out.
Thesp wrote:
Patrick wrote:<snip>
Without the struck-through quote, he's answered the question of whether or not he thinks it's a scum tell. I don't think the addition of the struck through sentence, "Some ppl argue that scum are less likely to pay attention, but I'm not sure about that", is accidental - he's trying to add extra suspicion on Mgm. Why bother adding that sentence? He's already made his point.

Don't think for a second that speech is accidental.
Whaaaaaaaat....? I don't agree with this at all. It just reads to me like Patrick thinking aloud, which is something I pick up from him semi-often. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Can I raise my hand if I think Glork is on something?

Glork:
Thesp is suspicious, there's no better reason to join a wagon. My vote on you wasn't going anywhere, so I had to switch. Voting Ether would be kind of pointless. If he's away, he's not going to defend himself and I dislike lynching non-responsive people unless I'm very sure they're scum.

Voting Thesp was the only logical thing for me to do.

I just looked up the word 'readily' in the dictionary to be absolutely sure of its meaning and connotation and found the following meaning:
1. promptly; quickly; easily: The information is readily available.
2. in a ready manner; willingly: He readily agreed to help us.

I don't like what you're implying.

I know that Fritz and I are vocal enough to count as four or five people, but I wouldn't exactly call us a clique. In fact, Fritz has actually stated recently that he's making a conscious effort
NOT
to favor any of his buddies for non-game-related reasons. I think you're being a little paranoid over nothing. It's joking and posting style, Adele. If you actually think there's a serious problem with clique-ness and buddying-up, I can request replacement. I'd rather not have people think that the game is compromised for such silly reasons.

:shock:Oh, gosh no. I don't mean that. I just meant that there seem to be some very definate groups of ingroup trust and outgroup suspicion
within the game
; I certainly don't think for a second that there are any out-of-game factors going on.

All I mean is that the people who distrust me are the same people who distrust mgm. The people who distrusted ether earlier also seem to show distrust for Thesp... things like that.

I'm really sorry if anyone thought I was feeling, like, victimised as a person or anything. I'm just having trouble picturing the trust-distrust relationships in this game, because they're very complicated,
like
social relationships are.

I agree with Adele's post 698.

In contrast to my more recent posts, I must say that I am now finding Glork and Fritz less likely to be scum. With that being said, I don't entire agree with their views.

Fritz, if Thesp is not the play today, do you see him as the play for a day soon to come? Or is he more on your pro town list?

Also,
Thesp, do you agree with this? ->
Mgm wrote:

I'm not confused. I may not have paid attention one or two times, but the "not paying attention count" against me is grossly overstated. Everything other than the times I haven't paid attention is simply a disagreement on gameplay.

One last thing, Glork, how do you stand in regards to CES, Pat, Zind, and Lee?
Once Nightfall comes, everyone's dead...
