As for SV's claim, I completely believe it. If there are 2 kills tonight, then obviously there is a vig.

I thought he was either following through on a bad idea or making a point at the expense of a more effective vote. I only considered he was joking when other people pointed it out to me, which is why I changed my mind.MrBuddyLee wrote:

If Nightfall's post 366 can't convince you to vote AndrewS, I don't know what will.IH wrote:Is this another game where I'm being wagoned for no reason/being recquired for a vig kill?

unvote, vote:MGM
Patrick, I'm pretty sure that the MAIN reason that there was an sv wagon was for the dice.
I'm pretty sureIwas on the wagon to give sufficient time for another one to form and give us a lynch before deadline. Would you still like me to go through her posts, and put together a case? If not, I'll go back to working on MGM.
= ) If I was a vig it'd be a tossup between Andrew/MGM/maybe Glork if those two weren't an option.Show"Logic is a systematic method to come to the wrong conclusion."

Would that negate her kill? I've never heard of it working like that. I think telling us the vig target now is definitely optimal, it's similar to allowing us a second lynch. And as CES said, it avoids possible other vigs or cops hitting the same target as spectrumvoid.Adele wrote:If she were to announce that she's vigging a scum, it's possible that they'd hit her in a vain hope that their choice is entered before herPrimpod 11:13 pm

I'd have to check Stoofer's other games, but from what I remember from the discussion in the "Mafia Discussion"-thread, the prevailing idea seems to be to resolve choices all at the same time.Patrick wrote:

If the scum get to see who spectrumvoid will NK, and know it's not one of their own, they could deliberately no-kill to try and force a mislynch of spectrumvoid. Without letting them know, they must operate in the dark, and almost certainly must kill tonight, allowing sv to be more provable.Mgm wrote:In that case I see no reason for SV not to reveal his target."When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

Scum tend to nightkill townie-looking players, you know? I don't see how this is an issue, at all.Adele wrote:Well, maybe she doesn't want the scum to know who she's targeting, or the scum won't want to hit the same target, so we'd also be limiting their pool.
Also, I forgot to mention that the objective(ie. before spec claimed) chance of 2 vigs are not 1 in 49 as AndrewS claimed but rather 18 in 343(1/7*1/7*6/7*3), which is nearly 2,5 times higher. So he screwed that up too.
I wouldn't lynch spec over one such Night if she killed who she was supposed to. Either she'll be proven eventually or the scum won't be killing or we control the scum kill as long as she wants to live.Thesp wrote:If the scum get to see who spectrumvoid will NK, and know it's not one of their own, they could deliberately no-kill to try and force a mislynch of spectrumvoid. Whatever. SV said she didn't want to tell us who today.
You want to argue this out, she's the one to yell at. I still find this worrying. On a dice roll you go along and ask someone to claim. It seems strange that you'd be 'putting together' a case only after she's virtually confirmed. I would have thought you need a case before you vote.IH wrote:Patrick, I'm pretty sure that the MAIN reason that there was an sv wagon was for the dice.

1.A deadline is coming up Patrick. Not only that, I didn't start the wagon. You asked what was the reason for it, I said a dice roll, which was pretty much a straight wagon that led to a spectrumvoid claim.
2.Is there an actual case for why I'm being vigged other than Patrick doesn't like the vibe I give out? Or Ether is going for an IH lynch for no reason again? = )Untrod Tripod (7:27:18 PM): you enjoy whoring

Perhaps you're being vigged because you're second in succession to be lynched after Andrew?
Sounds like a reasonable decision as that is what most of the town agrees to at that point.Show"Logic is a systematic method to come to the wrong conclusion."

Right, so you jumped on it based on a dice roll and to make the deadline yes?
Please tell me what you found scummy about spectrumvoid at that point.Post 294 IH wrote:...Glork, why couldn't your dice have said MGscuM? = |
SV is scummy, but I still don't like Glork's diceyness.
Other than this though, it is just kind of a vibe. As explained before, I didn't like the reasons you used to jump onto the Andrew wagon. You sucked up to Thesp, then when I called you on it you immediately did a IGMEOY for Thesp
Which is really vague. I'm not sure what you meant by this. It felt like you did that just to immediately satisfy me that you weren't in fact sucking up to him.IH wrote:igmeoy:Thesp... Even though you're strongly supporting an Andrew lynch, I don't like how you're kind of... turning it into something else.
I think there's a fair case for vigging you if we don't actually lynch you.Primpod 11:13 pm

IH isn't as aggressively insightful as I've seen him. His play is more flippant and he's hedging here and there.
Here's his first real serious vote:
This is the kind of mealy-mouthed argument scum would make for a lynch.IH wrote:I need to do a little reread to make sure, but pretty sure that MGM has been wishy washy, unhelpful, and "misread" the game a few times to many for my liking.
= | Lemme go through his posts first to make sure.
I prefer an MGM lynch/vig. I think IH is a solid scum candidate but not likely in conjunction with MGM.
unvote, vote: MGM
Thesp, why haven't you expressed an opinion on MGM? His play's noteworthy.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-
