Well, argh. I just reread Lowell's claim, and itreallysounds like he's being truthful. Why?! Why must I be cursed with such indecision?
I suppose I could forego Vigging tonight, but I honestly think it's to the town's advantage to basically lynch two people at once (one via lynch, one via Vig).
I'm thinking Machiavellian-Mafia might be the best target for tonight. I just just checked on Wiki, and here's something interesting:
M-M claims the only Seanchan role in the game, and in fact, Marath-Damane is not a specificA Wheel of Time Wiki wrote:Marath'damane is an olde tongue word meaning: We are Seanchan. You will be leashed. Resistance is futile.character(so far that I can see) at all. M-M has, in fact, not claimed a specific Seanchan character in the first place.
By the way, Illumina: can you verify if you were collared last night?
The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking M-M could be an all-purpose scum role who is searching for his partners (via Collaring), who cannot be tracked (since the Collared does the killing), and may in fact have the ability to recruit (via Collaring).
I'm actually wondering if it's safer to lynch Machiavellian-Mafia, and then have me Vig Skylink.
Any thoughts?"Logic? I call that flapdoodle."-

Sorry for not checking in more regularly, it's been a busy week. (I had my wisdom teeth out, so I've been on painkillers constantly ><).
Anyway. Yes, I did get collared by M-M last night: The PM informed me that I was suddenly grabbed during the night, M-M knew my identity through the power of the collar, and could could control me to make kills for him. There was no mention of me losing my ability to communicate during the day, but I assume M-M has sustained control over me unless he tries to ID / collar someone else. I got a PM from him later saying there wasn't going to be a night kill, because his suspicions didn't quite warrant one.
Given that info, I was under the impression that M-M is either light-aligned or neutral. There was no change in my alignment, and the Seanchan never struck me as being aligned with the dark in the books. (A pesky thorn in everyone's sides, sure, but like the Aiel they're on the right side of Tarmon Gai'don.). If anyone who's read the later books knows something more about the Seanchan, now's a good time to pitch in.
Also, it goes without saying that M-M could have turned me to the dark side and you can't trust a word I'm saying - vigging him may in fact be the smartest move, if it's not possible to ID him another way with any certainty.
(btw, PJ, that translation of the old tongue sounds suspiciously similar to a certain phrase from Star Trek. I'm thinking someone must have altered the wiki.)-

MrBuddyLee, I cannot talk with my Ashaman because I was never evenverifiedas to whether or not I had an Ashaman.
My first question to the Mod before the game began was whether or not I really had an Ashaman in the game, and he could neither confirm or deny. I figured my Ashaman was simply my "flavor", until I realized that Broomhead (now Ghyrt) was my Ashaman on Night Two, when he refused to kill himself (quite rightly). This of course led me to believe that Mariyta was lying on Day Two (because I never targeted Mr. Flay) and that she was therefore scum.
And now that I think on it: Ghyrt, does your role explicitly mention that you work for Rand Al'Thor? If so, that might be enough to get MBL to shut his big yap, because he is consistently heading in the wrong direction.
I'm thinking no-kill might be the way to go tonight, as Illumina mentioning that M-M did not want to kill last night checks the story out. Skylink could very well be the last scum for all we know anyways."Logic? I call that flapdoodle."-

My role PM just said marath damane so I'm not a specific character.MrBuddyLee wrote:I'd get M-M's specific rolename before proposing further action.
Looking at the claims I don't see anyone obviously lying except skylink, so I can agree with the considerations of no-vig.The end justifies the means.-

It's never the wrong direction to ask thoughtful questions, and I think I've been consistently helpful in this game.petroleumjelly wrote:And now that I think on it: Ghyrt, does your role explicitly mention that you work for Rand Al'Thor? I'm fine with a no-kill tonight. If Skylink's not our last scum then maybe we'll learn something from the flavor of any nightkill that occurs. Well, you all will, as I'll quite possibly be dead.

Vote: Skylinkbecause all the cool kids are doing it.
Sorry I have been MIA of late. I went away, thought I would have sporadic internet, but did not.
Guy pulling the strings around here: don't Vig me, that's a big waste of time. For the record, I know nothing about Wheel of Time, and didn't make up whatever claim I posted.-
