You can enter as any country
not
in the OP.

Also note (because this confuses many newbies) that countries are for optional anonymity; you don't have to enter music from that country.

Also, I think someone else wanted canada, so you may need to include your backup choice in the PM form.

Foo Fighters could be considered post-grunge

I like some of those bands on "the list" a LOT. I hate some of them, too.

A lot of them don't sound anything alike.

I am in general not really someone who strictly labels music into genres. It just doesn't work, in my opinion.

Music that cannot be categorized by genre is highly unlikely to succeed in reaching its audience. People in general need points of reference to compare music to when they try to analyze it in-depth: conventions and music theory can both serve as these points of reference, but most people don't have extensive knowledge of the latter, so genre standards are the go-to guide to music appreciation.

And most competent musicians know this. Most bands have a preexisting concept of what genre they want to fit into, and they compose their music accordingly. By denying the application of genre categorizations, you are robbing
yourself
of the chance to enjoy the music the way it was intended.

We spend weeks preening over how great our taste in music is and how everyone else's sucks, then we rabble when the results are late, then we cry in our beers as he place on the right hand side of the results.

I'd listen to klezmer over post-grunge any day.

"Notable" Post-Grunge bands

12 Stones
3 doors down
Alter Bridge
Bush
Creed
Daughtry
Everclear
Flyleaf
GooGooDolls
Hinder
Lifehouse
Matchbox 20
Nickelback
Our Lady Peace
Red
Staind
Switchfoot
Theory of a Deadman
Trapt
Trust Company

Pretty much every band that got way more credit than they ever had any right to get. Genric Radio Rock trash. I can guarantee 0 points from me if you enter something that sounds like any of the above bands.

You realize wikipedia would only list the generic radio trash because there's no point in listing the ones people don't know? Needless to say, the band I'm going to submit is none of the above.

Edit:
went to the wiki page and look for that list, I guess you just picked and choose ones that were generic radio rock? I- I don't even have words for that. You can't just selectively pick the generic radio rock bands out of a list then call the entire genre generic radio rock.. You've sort of stunned me with your irrationality...

Amrun: You don't have to pick a song from the country that you picked. You can pick any song with any country, the countries are just there for anonymity.
