I thought the description in the role PMs would have told you that. Mera tried to protect Aquaman and others from the zombie fish that Aquaman was unintentionally controlling. Soranik Natu is a Green Lantern, so that pretty much explains the fact that she can find Sinestros and Red Lanterns in and of itself.

So basically, as you can see, it didn't matter one iota whether you had non-lantern as your second pick, and usually didn't matter if you had it as your first pick, because about half of the players did, and there were only three non-lanterns in the game: Mera, Ice, and Dove. One person (Nikanor) got their last choice because of this insanity. Of course, that was before all the queue shut-down craziness...

I think a much better balancing option than Toog as mafia bonus killer would be the mafia team as a whole gaining a bonus kill when the white lanterns activate. At that point in the game, with cult either dealt with or near dealt with, town doesn't need the double day as much, and a double night kill (especially one flavored as Sinestro becoming a White Lantern...) would return that balance without screwing up the early day game play.

It's not a bad idea, and is creative in its own way, but I happen to think it's rather boring in practice. Like you said here, in the end, it pretty much takes away the double days advantage at the point where the cult is no longer a major threat. That's no fun at all...
Plus, I wanted to give the cult SOME kind of chance after letting the white rings come into play. An extra mafia kill flying around would have totally ended it for them. I preferred to just give the mafia two extra kills to be used at their discretion, since their fakeclaims were intentionally worse than the cult's. And making them janitor kills just made it that much more fun.

Yeah, somebody go find me a scumteam LARGER than 6 in a game of this size or smaller that has other non-town factions. I'll bet you can't. That's because I pretty much maxed out the scumteam size. If you can't handle slightly worse fakeclaims than the cult (which, need I remind you, are still better than a lot of fakeclaims you'll see out there), then you just plain under-performed. Trying to say that the fact I gave an ability to a player rather than the team just dragged you down too much is ludicrous. And...what GreyICE said.

I threw out a nom for ToastyToast, since I think he was one of the main positive influences on the town. I know there were others of you that caught some scum, but ToastyToast stood out to me personally.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. I forgot the order your ability resolved in, since it's been weeks since I last had to think about it. So yeah, forget the "fails" part, and then when you look at night 2, you'll realize that Andrius's roleblock didn't matter, and we wouldn't have let it do anything anyway, because of tanstalas. In other words, we had it right then, and I forgot how we did it afterwards.
