StrangerCoug's Favorite Roles Return (Game over!)

I have played and modded many games since joining three years ago, especially theme games (the notorious StrangerCoug's Worst Nightmare series comes to mind). Of all those games, I can't decide on the one role I liked the most from any of them. Nope—I couldn't narrow the pool any further down than 16. I thought all of them were excellent. Some of them I even feel a bit sentimental about.

And guess what—I'm bringing them all back! If it was a good role then, it's still a good role now, and I want to see how my personal top sixteen do in a game together. Many of these have never, in any universe, been together before, but they're still experienced enough to smell trouble. With the mod rooting for both sides, can the town formed from the conglomeration of various sources overcome all the dangers that have now come to face them? After all, this is not Round 1 for anybody!

RULES

1. Other than that every role in the game has been used previously in a theme game I played or modded, this is a closed setup, which means the only roles you will know in advance are your own and that of any other player I mention in your role PM. All other role information is secret, including how many players with a certain role exist and even if the role exists in the first place. Yes, a game with absolutely no vanilla townies is possible. It's been done before.
   
   This may or may not be a bastard mod game.
   It may be perfectly runnable as a normal if I stripped the names; it may have a few annoyances here and there; it may be on the level of StrangerCoug's Worst Nightmare. I'm not telling you where in the scale this game is.
   
2. The preferred voting method is to put vote tags around the player's name, but I will still accept the old method of bolding the word "vote" followed by said player's name, e.g. VOTE: StrangerCoug or
   Vote: StrangerCoug
   . As long as I can tell to whom you are referring, spelling does not count and I will accept abbreviated or otherwise shortened forms of the name of the vote's recipient. You may also VOTE: No Lynch. I no longer require unvotes.
   
3. A majority of votes is required for a lynch, even at deadline. Once a lynch has been decided, it is final and further votes and unvotes do not count for the current day. If deadline is reached with no player having enough votes for a lynch, the day ends in an automatic No Lynch.
   
4. Once you die, I'll allow one "bah" post that doesn't contain any game-related content if you wish to make it, but you must thereafter stop posting in the game. Said "bah" post is the only post a dead player may make during twilight. Living players may continue to talk during twilight as long as they follow all of the rules.
   
5. You are not forced to like each other, but the fact that you badly want so and so offed does not give you the right to insult him or her. Please keep your hatred of people or groups thereof to yourself. Profanity is not in and of itself banned, but if it gets out of hand, it falls under this rule.
   
6. Do not hide text or otherwise hinder its readability by using spoiler tags, invisible or encrypted text, etc. You may, however, post in any color that can be easily read against the forum background other than
   purple
   . (I know it sounds arbitrary to forbid a specific color, but I'm saving my favorite color for mod use since I am the mod )
   
7. Impersonating the moderator is prohibited.
   
8. Unless you're the moderator (that's me, obviously), co-moderator (that's nobody), or backup moderator (that's Plum until June 20, after which date it will become Vi) of this game, please do not delete or edit any posts in this thread.
   
9. You are not allowed to discuss this game outside of the thread unless I tell you otherwise, nor are you allowed to discuss other ongoing games in this thread.
   
10. Do not quote or pretend to quote any private communication, either from me or from anyone else you are allowed to talk with at night. This includes your role PM. (Exception effective May 7: You
    ARE
    allowed to quote the role PM from the original game.) You are allowed to paraphrase, but you are not allowed to plagiarize. If in doubt as to your paraphrase's legality, PM me with the wording you want to use.
    
11. Claiming to be scum with someone else is prohibited.
    
12. I will issue a prod to any player that does not post for 72 hours without notifying me of his or her absence. (I'm sorry, but I do not check the V/LA thread. If you do not tell me to do so, neither will I check your signature.) If you are prodded, you will have 48 hours from the time of submission to post in thread. Failure to do so may result in replacement. Keep in mind that I have the board time down to the second. I will only prod the same player twice—after that, he or she must post every 72 hours to ensure that he or she remains in the game.
    
13. The fastest and preferred way to get ahold of me is by PM'ing me, but you may also communicate to me in thread if it is day or twilight and you are still alive. To do so, bold "Mod:" followed by what you want to tell me, as in

    Please use your judgment call in whether or not what you want to tell me should be public knowledge before talking to me in the thread. 14. Rule violations will be dealt with case by case based on severity. This can be a warning (of which I will only give two per player), ejection from the game, or even a modkill. Modkills are not a fun experience for anybody—the players affected automatically lose, I do it in the manner that I consider most harmful to their factions, and I die on the inside every time I have to do it.

While you notice a fire truck outside, it doesn't appear to be doing anything. A couple minutes after you call 911, a second truck arrives and extinguishes the fire. Somebody had pulled the tires off the first truck, filled them with lamp oil, shoved them around John Craig (whose truck it was), and burnt them.

Not two minutes pass when—rat tat tat tat tat—you hear shots being fired about two blocks away. You run over to find a local grassroots organizer lying on the ground, bleeding profusely from his chest. He appears to have died instantly, as he is making no noise.

Trouble has struck again, and it's up to you to bring the killers to justice... as close as you're going to get to it around here, as you are all familiar.

It may be a bit before day opens—I realized while I was at work this morning that I had committed a mod error earlier and I want to figure out how to best deal with it. I can tell you that the mistake is minor enough for me to continue the game.

An explosion goes off not too far from the town square. A few minutes later, you find that poor Vivian Kudo got caught in the blast, her body torn to a million pieces.

It doesn't take you that long to find out who killed Vivian, though. Clear of the blast range, but with his face still burnt off, is Virgil Sollozzo, a Mafia godfather on the run for many years for killing a member of a rival family. In his pocket is a grenade pin and several other devices. The blowtorch you find next to him appears not to be his, though.

You're getting closer to nabbing all the villains I put together, but remember that they still have a fighting chance too!

Millie Mudd, a vigilante.

You're a rebellious little kid, and you have to deal with the bullies every day. But you also have a pyromanic tendency. Will the troublemakers meet their fiery demise at your hands?

Each night, you may PM me one player whom you would like to kill. You are not allowed to kill yourself. If you decide not to kill anybody, it'd be nice if I know. You will repeat this process until the end of the game or you die, whichever happens first.

You will when all threats to North Hardordale Elementary have been eliminated from the game.

MOD NOTES

• First things first: the mod error that I caught during Night 3. As you can see from reading the role PMs and night actions, animorpherv1 should have been treestumped on Night 2. He was instead treated as a normal dead player. I asked Kinetic what to do about this and he said that it's best to allow populartajo to be treestumped despite dying second. I am sorry for the error.
  
• For the record, I would consider this game bastard. Not just the exploitation of the technicality of the firefighter's and vigilante's role PMs, but the flavor—I was trying to convince you (and succeeded to some extent, and partially in a way I didn't intend—sorry for the botched link, Zinger2099) that the nekomata from StrangerCoug's Worst Nightmare II: The Curse of the Nekomata was in the game instead of Millie Mudd from Mini 1,115: Ozy and Millie Mafia. This explains several things in the flavor (the avoidance of the fire MO from 1,115 like the plague, the lamp oil in the Night 2 flavor, etc.)
