Webcomics. What greater method to waste time exists than spending however long every day reading various webcomics? They are truly the third greatest use of the internet (PM me if you want to find out the other two, I want to keep this PG-13).

However, as time goes on, some of you have figured out that you're in a webcomic. Twelve of you, specifically. You naturally decide to meet up to discuss the implications, but when you arrive at the neutral destination (One over Zero's empty canvas, chosen for its acceptance of fourth-wall-breaking conversation), you realise that some of you have decided you don't like the idea of being webcomic characters, and have set out to destroy them by killing all their inhabitants!

The rest of you must gang together to find these dissenters and erase them before you get erased yourself...

RULES (Blatently stolen from Halo Freak, for the most part...)

Standard rules.

1. Bold your votes and unvotes please, this makes it easier for me. they should look like this

2. If you are unvoting, it must be like this:

. You do not have to say who you are unvoting. However, you do have to unvote before revoting.

3. Any votes or unvotes not in bold will not be counted .

4. Do not communicate at night unless your role PM says otherwise.

5. You may vote No lynch, and a majority of these votes will end the day without a death.

6. Please do not edit or delete your posts no matter how stupid a mistake you made.

7. Once you’re dead, you’re dead, so stop posting. Unless you want to say something with no game effect or meaning - a "bah" is just fine.

8. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. After a player has been absent for 48 hours without posting an alert, I will prod him; 24 hours after the prod, I will look for a replacement.

9. If you have a night choice to make, please get it to me as soon as you can. In extreme delays, I will impose a deadline and simultaneously prod everyone who hasn't yet submitted a night choice. Also please state WHAT ability you are using - it makes it much easier on me.

10. Executions will require a number of votes equal to the smallest number greater than half the number of living players. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded.

11. Once the final vote has been cast, we are in twilight. You may post freely, but votes and unvotes will be ignored.

12. If you are requesting a mod prod or vote count can you Bold your request so that I can see it more clearly.

13. No Swearing. First offence by ANYONE will be punished by a severe warning and an edited post which will make you look silly. Second offence in the game will result in a modkill.

15. Lastly and most importantly. Respect Me and the rest of the players, I have not had to modkill anyone yet, and i don't intend to.

SPECIAL RULES FOR THIS GAME

Firstly, note that

mod-quoting is allowed.

To prevent any abuse of this by the mafia's part, however, I have created a sample role PM below. All role PMs follow this basic setup.

You are Mega Man, the remarkably stupid droid from Bob and George. You may not be the brightest bulb in the box, being programmed to be stupid and all, but your heart is in the right place. Plus you have an awesome gun. You know that you have to rid the webcomics of the evil people trying to take it over, and you figure your special power to absorb abilities of things you kill could be helpful. Plus it gives you a great opportunity to better yourself! Each night, you can use any one of your night actions - initially, you only have the ability to kill, but whenever you kill anyone you gain any night abilities they may have. Note you can only use one ability each night.

Confirm by PM, along with your first night choice and any questions you may have.

Minor victory condition: Have the town win.
Major victory condition: Absorb at least two abilities.

Also, everyone has TWO win conditions - a Major, and a Minor. For the most part, the Minor win condition is the standard alignment-determining one. However, this is not the case for all roles. Also, it is not always true that the Major and Minor will help each other - in some cases, playing for the Minor might make the Major harder to achieve or vice versa!

It is theoretically possible for everyone to get some victory in the same game - but it's unlikely. I'm not gonna tell you how, of course

Anyone who gets both victory types has definitely "won", by standard definition. Anyone who fails to get either has definitely "lost". However, people who get one or the other still have partial bragging rights. In general, consider it a victory if you get at least one, and all the rest are super victories or whatever.

Some roles have victory conditions which refer to the "endgame". In this game, the endgame is considered the last day of playing before the final result is certain.

I was wondering about roleclaiming. Then I noticed there are 11 listed comics (I have read the entire archives of all but two ). Some of these comics have many complicated characters. Even using the most conservative methods (by "main character", I took to mean "those a semi-literate who's read the cast page and twenty random comics would know"), I reckon there are over 50 potential roles.

So I'm guessing that role-claims won't be too helpful.

Oh I agree with you there, my list of webcomics is just as long (in fact, I have 11 too). But I don't think all of them will necessarily be represented in the roles.

I wish I knew that feeling, we don't have proper discount bookstores here.

I feel I should mention that I deliberately chose a lot of webcomics - I am a fan of all the webcomics, and all of them may be featured. I will warn you that I deliberately chose a very deep list of potential characters...
