I would recommend that we formally go through and give everyone a chance to counterclaim Zoe. I myself would not be willing to vote armlx at this point unless he is counterclaimed.
I am not Zoe.-

I'm not Zoe, but I think doing this formally in this instance is unnecessary and going to waste a lot of time. We're not at deadline, and we're unlikely to suddenly push to another lynch without the actual Zoe, if it isn't armlx, having the opportunity to say so.EmpTyger wrote:I would recommend that we formally go through and give everyone a chance to counterclaim Zoe. I would imagine that is the case, personally. Isn't that usually the case in theme games?Thok wrote:So, is nobody worried about the possibility of scum being given safe names to claim?
I just dn't think armlx is the play as I have said, I only voted him so he would spill his name. Waiting for one more vote is stupid.:coo:

In my experience it's actually pretty rare, but there's generally some means of preventing the game from being broken by a mass claim Day One, and more so with experienced mods. Offhand, I'm disinclined to believe that Nanook would have been so unwilling to claim if he'd been given a safe name to use. But that's hardly a reason not to worry about it at all.It takes a village to raise a lynch mob.-

I guess my worry is that I'm suspicious of how armlx handled his role claim, and I already had reasons to vote him before his claim. Now granted, armlx has a ridiculous ability to make me suspicious of him but I just find his handling of the situation weird.
That said, Fuldu has a somewhat valid point about Nanook not faking a claim. So I'llunvote armlx
Any thoughts on where to go from here?I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.-

I'm a little worried about a safe claim here, but what the hell, I'm not voting him anyway so there's no harm in my continuing to. As to where to now, we could always pressure Iammars.I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons-

Iammars, PB, and ~ds~ have not yet posted since armlx’s Zoe claim. (d8P having already claimed.) PB seems particularly absent.

I really don’t like how DP, d8P, VisM, and bloojay voted for Nanook… for lurking… when he also wasn’t posting in any other thread… on Thanksgiving week?! Especially right after I listed 4 concrete reasons against armlx; each of which was much better than anything against Nanook, and each of which received no attention whatsoever despite the intense focus placed on Nanook.
DP:
You began the bandwagon against Nanook to lurkerprod him. Why haven’t you said anything since his return?
d8P:
You were the second on the lurkerprod bandwagon. Kind of ironic how after that you lurked the entire week, isn’t it?
VisM:
This is the defense you gave for your vote of Nanook:
As you are still voting Nanook, do you still believe this to be true?VisMaior [92] wrote:No real reason for anyone. This game started slow, and then fell back.
bloojay:
Can you explain why you are still voting Nanook? Because I can’t figure out why you would have voted him in [85], and then make [107] without unvoting.bloojay [107] wrote:hmmm....well, i know Nanook has been inactive in all of his other games. Perhaps a prod, Mod? Maybe that'd pull something up.Vote: EmpTygerI am suspicious of the way he attempted to divert the bandwagon on Nanook with some fairly week evidence against armlx, and I am suspicious of how he has been attempting to lead the town.-
