The loss scum gets in town having tribunal power, which really isn't that much considering there wasn't anybody saying they wanted Fonz executed, is minuscule compared to the gain they could get from making a move that looks protown.

First you claim that you gave someone else Tribunal power, which you wouldn't do as Scum. You even went out of your way to point out that the biggest benefit of being a Tribunal is lynch immunity. Now you're saying everyone should have taken for granted as of the post you made yesterday that Fonz was Town. Which means he wasn't getting lynched.

Thing the third: A lot of my case against SensFan doesn't read right given that Jack was scum.

Given that I thought Jack was town to be the most true thing in this game outside of my own alignment and ribwich's alignment, everything else is a muddle. I still feel that Sens is scum, but the case I brought up before doesn't hold now; this is more of an emotional read, I suppose.

Except that's not what I said. I said giving Fonz tribunal power doesn't hurt scum all that much because he wasn't going to get lynched anyway. i.e. the only part of his power that was actually relevant was his ability to veto a lynch.

Hey Nate, you might want to explain why, despite repeatedly stating in bold that the roleclaim was null, you consistently had him as town, or one of the townier players in the game, even though he wasn't really doing anything else that looked townish. Also, why when his lurking was pointed out to you, you moved him from 'town' to 'null' despite the fact that the implication was that lurking was scummy, and the roleclaim was supposedly null. I mean, one null thing and one scummy thing should be leaning scum, shouldn't it?

Heh, I was so focused on Parama at the time that I didn't even realize you were referring to Nathanael in that post. Parama is just as guilty of doing that as him.

But regardless, I think that's overall a pretty null point. If I was in that situation I doubt I would say anything. What were you expecting? "Oops, guess I was wrong about Jack. Anyway let's move on to..." It just doesn't do any good to mull over it unless the flip suddenly changes your read on somebody else.

Not saying Nat can't be scum, but that's not the reason for it.

Rib, flips should affect reads, and if you're going to continue to push the exact same case as yesterday without even acknowledging that the target of your ire pushed relentlessly for a scum lynch, that's a bad thing. It's one thing to think that Sens was bussing- it's another to completely ignore any evidence that might suggest town.

There was the whole double-bus issue. I just thought it would be unlikely for dram to double bus like that. that was a quite strong town-point I had for jack, which outweighed his useless lurking attitude.

luckily for all of us, SensFanscum is almost totally independent of Jack's flip. I see absolutely no reason not to lynch SensFan today.
Parama would be fine too.

However, that raises a new issue of its own- how come you seemed to think it so drastically unlikely that Dram was bussing Jack, but are happy enough to assume that Sens was?

I thought it was pretty obvious why I chose him for one of the consuls, but okay. It's day 4 and we have no read on that slot due to nobody in it actually doing anything. I'm giving us a chance to start getting actual information about him by putting him in a position where he has to make a decision.

If that wasn't what you were looking for and you wanted me to justify why I chose him over others, don't waste your time. Arguing over that isn't going to be any help.

Also, perhaps I'm mistaken, but if I recall correctly, Nathanael's entire 'scumread' on me was based in large part on the fact that I was pushing too hard on Jack, in his opinion. His townread on Jack was based on the fact there was already more than enough scum bussing going around for Dram/Reck to have been bussing Jack, too. So now the natural result is that a JackScum flip means I'm still Scum? Huh?
