I say it makes no sense to put yourself in your town list, and I wanted to know what your reasoning for it is. You still haven't explained it. If it makes no difference one way than the other, then why do you choose to do it this way?

I have no problem with a player saying "I'm town". Obviously they are going to do that, town or not. But when they are compiling a list of their reads on other players, why would they put themselves in that list? You have a read of yourself that says your town?

Sorry, I should be more clear. It appears as if you either haven't read the thread or you're parroting what others have already said. Everything you've stated has been mentioned before.

Edit: Except the part about giving scum a day vig target. Are you suggesting that gandalf's plan failed so they chose Haylen instead?

The fact that Haylen got "strangled" pretty clearly points to Gollum as the perpetrator and Gollum makes a whole lot of sense as an SK.

Interesting thought... In order for her meta to be taken into account, though, the killer would have to be someone who knew her enough. I'm not so sure town would strangle (not shoot) a player this early in the game, though. It's too dangerous, as evidenced by the loss of a PR.

Preview edit: Katsuki makes a good point. Strangulation looks like SK, though it could still possibly be town.

I don't buy the reasoning that someone would have taken gandalf's joke-claim seriously given how absurd it was(Treestump + 3action JOAT Hah.). It looks like you're making it sound worse than it actually is. Real Gandalf would probably have ignored that shit.

Yeah, I'm not really gung-ho about that (hence I didn't change my vote), especially if that is part of a standard MO for him, but there were statements to the effect of "there's no reason why scum would do that," and I could think of a definite reason. I'm not thoroughly convinced that's why Gandalf did it, although if I have time I intend to look at his meta to see what I think for myself.

It also seems that some people tend to take any claim seriously, even if it's way out there and that in itself might make it worth a try - I was surprised anyone took Zwet's claim seriously at first, but some did, or seemed to at least. Now that he sticking to it, I don't know ... I am baffled because it makes no sense to me for Arwen to be a miller. I would love to hear the flavor behind that one because if it is at all true, then I have to admit I don't really see any other choice but claim that early or be strung up later, but what I know of Zwet's history makes it very hard to believe this. So while I think it unlikely that Gandalf would have actually CC'd, particularly as most here seem to be pretty savvy players, but as I said, it's possible scum could have been fishing for reactions to try to figure him out.

The method of death points to Gollum, although that doesn't really help anything, except I'd say SK is probably what we have here. I don't know anything about Haylen, though, so I would have pegged it as a kill on someone laying low with not much to analyze to try to figure out who would murder them.

I haven't noticed anything scummy at all about ME, but I will do a reread later when I am not melting to death from this heatwave.

FAKE EDIT: UGH ... almost everything I said was already said during the time I wrote this post, but it is 100 million degrees here and I have no air conditioning so I'm leaving it for now and will try to come up with brilliant insights at a later and cooler time.
