Hmmm... my vote was orriginally random, however, after more has unfolded I believe I will let it stand... while not the biggest scumtell, Andy responded to his accidental bandwagon by starting one on someone else... looks a bit sus to me. (p.s. my vote was because I totally have a big fat crush on you, call it helga pataki syndrome )
And to answer mr. talkatives questions:
1) yeah, played several and modded 1, soon to be 2 on another forum (black ship batrarchian (the rockpapercynic forum)) though this is my first playing here.

and yes Jester. It requires so much balance to play well... Scummy enough to draw votes but not so scummy to draw suss as jester. Plus you have to play to the mafia so theywill keep you allive...
For some reason third parties are intriguing to me. I have only played it twice (both as jester) but it takes more skill and I like that.

Yeah, I am not that skilled either, but playing roles like that help me build them... I am much better at playing scum or other anti-town than I am townie, mainly because I can be relatively persuasive when the need arrises... i.e. when it came to 1 mafia, 1 double voter, 1 cop, and 1 traitor, and I convinced the double voter I was the traitor to win the game even though it was really obviously the other way around... that was probably my favorite game ever... (actually I think it was my first online game (yup, yup it was... http://www.rockpapercynic.com/forum/vie ... f=21&t=607)

Did we ever learn whether or not this is his first game? if so it could have been an honest mistake... I could easily see myself making that mistake even now (I get distracted easi-oooh look a kitty)
And to answer whether or not people are actually suspecting you, I can only answer for myself with a strong fos/weak vote... I will lay out my argument:
1a) After you were bandwaggoned on you OMGUSd on one of the newbies(i think they are new) You procedded to respond to me keeping my vote on you stating that you weren't going to OMGUS me, possibly because you knew at that point that while not an expert player or anything I do have a decent base of knowledge of this game, and an OMGUS on me would be less easy than on someone who may have less experience
2b) while discussing reasons for my vote, you asked me about my feelings on another player, who coincidentally you had voted for and had voted for you which generally looks kinda scummy
and 3c) your avatar is shifty

Active Lurking means people are posting but not really contributing to the conversation. And I voted for you because I want to see how you react to pressure... I am looking for possible scum pairs and I think it might be you and andrius, judging by the RVS, you both voted for eachother, but Andrius quickly unvoted you and you unvoted him but have not pointed suspicion at anyone else yet.

Well, I'm not the IC but I will try to answer your question as unbiasedly as possibly.
You voting for me would easily be considered an OMGUS (Oh My God You Suck) vote, which can sometimes be construed as being a bit scummy but not always. The way I have always played is that the first day is all about pressure response and analyzing voting patterns. If you honestly think of me as scum, then yes, by all means, vote for me and see how I respond to pressure.
Though I am going to be completely honest I pretty much voted for you to try and get discussion going, though by the looks of it, it only got you talking more (awesome) and everyone else kept quiet.

Well one of two things happened... They got lucky and hit doc or there were doctells that we didn't pick up on and the other scum is more experienced than I thought. I am almost suprised that one of myself or Andy didn't get the nk as we are the two most active, though that leads me to believe that Andy is innocent and there are motives to keeping us alive (we have both expressed suspicion for each other and they were hoping we would act on it.) I will go back and reread when I get home but for now

Ok, so I just isod drwhatshisface and Tangion and came up with this...
1a) The whole vote slip in the beginning... the more I think about it the more I read it as an "oh crap I just voted my scumbuddy I shouldn't do that" panic instead of a "oops, I mistyped" panic
2b) When it came down to voting they followed eachother around... Tangion voted no lynch and as soon as drmy... was active again he voted no lynch without even realizing he had been lynched.
3c) when told he could ask questions in thread or pm kittymo with questions "if you are scum" we never really got any questions from him (at that point, there were some later) perhaps what he wanted to ask was role sensitive?

Well I had a big long post typed up but my phone decided to crash right then. Long story short Andy: I have already votes tangion and at willows I meant may change based on
my rereading but it didn't.
Page two tangion votes Andy, page three we have the misshapen with doc and the vote. Later tangion tries to push a no lynch(always scummy IMHO) and doc followed that vote as well.

I agree with all the previous posts. Tangion: Right now you are my number one scum suspect and there is enough evidence there to convince me to vote for you. The others are not active enough for me to get a decent read on, and right now I have a town read on both andy and willows. I have already laid out my case for you, and so there is nothing more for me to say untill the others re-appear from the aether. Untill that happens this game cannot progress anyways, unless you want to hammer yourself...
Willows... that was confusing... though I have a feeling it was meant to be that way... tuatology scares me.

Ok, so I did a VA for the entirety of day one and came up with a few things... But I will start by saying that Tangion is still number one suspect in my mind... these are just in case he flips town... (we never really know do we?)
I will only post the important ones.
jntp (1) Chosen (important because chosen was nkd and the only person he ever voted for other than hammering doc was jntp... i think his nk was mainly a revenge nk for docs death, but this may be of note.
Knight votes doc and never unvotes because shortly after doc has his whole andy/tangion mixup, to unvote would mean drawing suspicion
tangion follows my vote for andy, putting him at l-3, doc votes tangion and then claims not to mean it an votes Andy, putting him at L-2
Andy votes doc, immediately following slip up, partial omgus, partial "holy scumslip batman" possible partial "im going to vote you asap so as to alienate myself from the mess that is about to hit you.
Wulf votes doc (l-2) (andy's reasoning minus the omgus ) then dissapears untill d-2
Tangion unvotes Andy
Doc unvotes andy and votes willows for "lurking"
I vote doc, putting him at l-1 for a bit, then unvote because I see something scummy elsewhere and want to get others more involved so I vote Tangion

So a few things to point out: Willows, you never actually voted for doc, why?
I want to ISO wulf, because after rereading i am getting a pretty scummy vibe coming from him even with the minimal posting he has been doing... (in his vote for doc, he completely glosses over the whole "oops wrong name" fiasco)
Also, I am starting to get a somewhat scummy read on Knight too...

This whole thing was because I was interested in lynching doc, but I also wanted to wait untill there was more information from him and other players. At the time, I still had a pretty strong scumread on Andrius, and arent we supposed to vote for the player we feel is the mose scummy? Untill Docs slip-up I did feel Andrius was more scummy than Doc, now however I don't. As for 84, I wasn't ready to quicklynch, as I pointed out in that post. I wanted to give doc more of a chance to explain himself.

The best way to prove you are town is by trying to prove someone else is scummier than you. What seems the most scummy to me is that you want to get people talking about who is scum, but most of us are pretty convinced it is you. No one is going to do the scumhunting for you. If you know your role, then it is up to you to prove your role. Find someone else who you feel is scummy. Bring them to our attention, even if it is one of us. If it were me in your position, regardless of my role I would be trying to find something scummy about anyone else and pointing it out, trying to sway votes towards them.

So here is a question to get you started. Why is your vote for andrius? can you show us some places where you feel he has acted particularly scummy?

I agree, though I think it is sad to see that Tangion has pretty much given up. I hope he/she takes my advise and at least attempts to present us with an alternative... (esecially since with 7 players, having three votes isn't the end, seeing as there are still enough people to lynch someone else without anyone changing votes.)

well, we do have the numbers to lynch, just not who we want to... I still find Tangion the scummiest, but without the others (or a self hammer, which would defeat the purpose) we cant lynch him...the active players in here could lynch someone else though, but policy lynches suck and I don't want to see this game devolve to that.

Your tunneling on tangion makes me suspicious of you. Yeah we were all convinced he was scum, but you headed that charge. You also voted for him D1...
You were insistent on dr not revealing his buddy before there was any threat of that actually happening... and by insistent, I mean you posted it in huge bold letters that were def. not necessary. When we were waiting on a hammer for Tangion, you just gave up, not really contributing anything to the ongoing convo. no, it actually makes you seem more scummy in my eyes... you have contributed almost nothing to this game, even when you were called out on it. You have lurked, not even actively.
Also, on day 1, you never once voted. That reads to me as someone trying to slip under the radar. And actually you haven't voted once throughout this game. Towns power lies in the vote. It is incredible that you have been able to stay under the radar this long.

Well, chosen, who died on the first night's only connection with anyone was that he voted jntp in RVS... he also hammered doc, so i don't really know how much we should read into that...
this is just theorizing, but I assume as an IC that jvw is experienced... we were dealing with a quickhammer d1, which would have been benificial to have lefr alive since it would have lead to town scrutiny... something an experienced player would have known. I think we are dealing with newbscum here...

Ok, so here is my take...
Adrien is confirmed town in my book...
1. If I chose to believe Andrius's cop claim, which I do ATM, then andy confirmed him for us...
2. If andy is lying about his claim he is scum... which means Adrien is not... because why would a townie confirm another player as town and fakeclaim a cop?
So that makes the suspects three:
Andy: I still say he played scummy but I also believe his claim for now and see his reasoning behind it...
jntp: scum... the scum here have played very newbscum which leads me to him.
JVW: lurker... though his being alive as an IC worried me...

Honestly, with 5 alive, should we look at lylo possibilities... I want active players in lylo, and while neither jntp or jvw's postcount is great, jvw posts content when he does post, which is better than I can say about jntp.
and @ jntp: I am willing to look past a smaller post count if it is made up for with content, but so far I haven't really seen any of that from you either...
