@Andrius - Information Instead of Analysis.

@Tasky - huh?

second, I am ranked

in popularity

third, please don't talk about other games if they are not relevant to scumhunting in this game
As I saw it, this was IIoA. You writing out the list, while helpful, was also IIoA.

And why would you like to start a wagon on vollkan, who has arguably been one of the most pro-town players so far in this early game?

UNVOTE: vollkan
VOTE: Tasky

Here's a wagon we can talk about.

This game isn't boring. It hasn't been open 24 hours yet either. :|

Wagonniing vollkan eh?
At this point I won't vote him for the sake of voting him and wagonning him. If I vote he will be at L-2, and forcing a claim on page three, with 4 people missing is stupid.

And claiming your reasoning is due to keeping boredom away isn't acceptable, even in RVS. ('Specially b/c we're in page 3.)

Tasky, what do you hope to acheive with your wagon? There's nothing vollkan can defend himself from. I mean, my vote was on there cause of a Phoenix Wright-related avatar. Wagoning for the sake of wagoning isn't going to accomplish anything. Now, wagoning some scummy, like yourself, can.

I just read thru these three pages. Sorry for the lateness. I have been with very limited access. i see that we are claiming popularity now. I see no problem with that. But i disagree with whoever said the person should befriend the next one down the popularity meter. I blieve that everyone should have freedom to pursure whoever they want. (as long as its somebody with lower popularity.)

Why are we wagoning on Volkan? I think that we have enough to discuss, (newb here so not sure how long RVS should last. I think that it shoul be over by now?)

Oh right, I'm #4 on the list.

Also, do you all think it is possible that popularity is not random?

RVS doesn't really "end" at a set time. It just does.

Why do you say that popularity is not random? I don't think its random.

I'm rather curious as to this reason, given that there's not much info you could be using. Its not like we had a night start. :/

I'm currently asking the mod whether I'm allowed to post it as an anagram so I can later confirm that I didn't make it up afterwards

Friend wrote:I agree with vollkan completely. That's what I had in mind when I suggested it. And I highly doubt that the level of popularity is tied to anything (PR-ness, alignment) so I don't think claiming it is rolefishing, like you said xite. Also, xite, why do you think scum would be able to fool a townie in the QT, when if they're that good at playing scum, they'll probably just be fooling them in the thread anyways?
If you choose the right people you can make a "good impression" on them and they're convinced you're town. Then they don't even have to work so hard to fool people in thread cuz they got a townie to do that.

I think that it is, but that's just cuz

Uhm, yeah no, bad idea.
I would vote for him, but he's at L-2 now isn't he?
I'd rather a claim or something first :)

But hey, I do like that he sticks to his convictions, even if it is my policy to lynch self-voters.
(which I should probably help do, but like I said claim first)

I'm going to be using my 0 = town, 100 = scum scaling for everybody in this game, as I am trying to get back into the habit of it. Basically, everybody starts at 50. Scumtells push it up, towntells down.

The above merits a +2. Reason being is that IIoA, while it is always an easy label for lazy scum to throw around, is not a scumtell at page 3 of a game where not even everybody has yet to post. Moreover, whether or not you think that the chances of popularity-manipulating roles is likely (and I note that nobody has suggested that it is), it's clearly something that due diligence required us to address in relation to the mass pop-claim strategy.

And, as others have already pointed out, it smacks of hypocrisy that you would accuse other people of IIoA and then have IIoA yourself. To be clear, my problem is not with your IIoA, it is with your hypocrisy of attacking people for IIoA

where exactly did you see an attack in the above?
I didn't attack anyone for IioA, I just pointed out that it is pointless and that we should altogether stop... nothing more, nothing less
nowhere in that post do I say someone is scummy for that
vollkan wrote:Now that you are no longer wagonning me (despite the fact that you haven't had any response from me), mind saying what your mystery reason for wagonning me was?
no... the reason was not about wagoning
you
... I just picked you because you had most votes... the reason is about wagoning
someone
... the problem is just that atm there is no wagon-target who I could wagon (since you all despise self-voting)...

ok, now something serious:

I highly diskile this post... I know Seraphim just a little, but I looked a little through his other games and he usually likes to start a wagon on someone slightly scummy early... what bugs me is that he didn't vote for me (I know this sounds strange, I hope you understand how I mean this)... after all I was top-pick for such an early wagon
so, either he just didn't see my random-bandwagon-start or he wanted to hold back to not be suspicious...
or there is another reason I can't come up with... please tell me...
