What the fuck?
That's a commonly used element of the game, it's happened to me 3 times when I replaced into the game they asked me to claim right away even though my replacement(s) had already claimed. It's not me trying to trip up a townie, it's me reaction testing a CLAIMED townie. Btw, you failed the reaction test IMO.

Robo: You really think me and Nacho? I wish, because we would totally win this time ;)

No lynch is CLEARLY the best move to me. I know I'm setting myself up for disaster if scum has a roleblocker, kills the cop, to frame a real doc, but the truth is, no one is sure of any scum yet and I don't think anyone has agreed on 2 scum. Another investigation would be invaluable to us because it would provide another clear or guilty and truthfully, I never like to lynch on MYLO unless there is a clear without a protective role (because then it's pointless).

For my reference (and yours if you choose to use it):
Kunk: CMAR and ?
Steph: CMAR and ?
Slaxx: I've heard Robo, Steph, and Me - Not sure what he is thinking right now and I'd prefer not to know today because he clearly doesn't want to give away his investigation, but then again, if there is a roleblocker UGH
CMAR: Nic/Robo and Steph
Robo: CMAR and Nacho
Nacho: ?

My guess is since scum had to fend off town and a SK one is probably investigation immune or kill immune, and the other is probably a roleblocker or rolecop. I mean, with two mafia they both have to be powerful with a cop, a tracker, and a SK to fight off.

Anyway, point being, we have to take chances. Follow me in my ballsless no lynch.

This seems like an oxymoron to me. I know what you meant, but let's "take chances" and lynch someone who's scummy.

Simply having fewer people in no way made it easier to come to a consensus. As the day wore on, people came close to being agreed to kill one person or another, but never quite got there.

However, in past days, they'd still ended up killing
someone.
This time, they didn't have enough people to convince themselves that someone devoted to fair play necessarily agreed on the lynch, so they eventually decided that they'd just go back to their rooms and hope everything blew over. After all, they already had one killer down - there'd still be enough of them left the next day to have a majority, right? Right?

Perhaps some of the musicians had been hoping that a no-lynch would lead to a no-kill that night. Unfortunately, that was not to be: Of the six who went to bed last night, five got up that morning.

Slaxx was conspicuously absent from the conference room once the other five arrived. Fearing the worst, they went to his room - yep, he was dead, all right. His wrists were slit, he was holding a razor, and his CD player was playing Gershwin. They didn't even have to look too hard to see that as he had claimed, he was from the Bluecoats, and he'd been investigating different corps to see if they'd been up to anything nefarious. Nobody expected him to have been scum, but they checked just to make sure - what do you know, he was as innocent as NavyCherub had been.

Slaxx,
Bluecoats,
Townie Cop, Got the Blues Real Bad N3

Day 4 begins!
With 5 alive, it will take 3 votes to lynch at any time, including deadline.

Deadline:
Sunday, June 6, 2010, ~9:00 PM CDT (GMT-6+1)

Note: I leave town a day or two before then. While I could try to line up a replacement mod, I'd rather not have to.
Discretion is the better part of valor.

Barring vote shenanigans, I think this is good game people. If not, well then this game is over for us anyway. Steph, I don't see why you voted in LyLo right off the bat. I didn't even need to defend my not being dead. Thanks robo for finally getting on, I've been refreshing this page for like the past 10 minutes since I saw you get on.

Also CMAR, you might want to post that in the game it was supposed to be in :P.

For once, the players actually came to a consensus quickly, with Stephoscope again voting that CryMeARiver was most likely to be trying to break the system. kunkstar7 and Robocopter87 agreed and said that they felt Stephoscope should be the one to kill him.

"With what?"

"Well, this is a conference room, there have to be projector cables and such around here," suggested kunkstar7.

"Good point," replied Stephoscope, who soon fashioned a noose out of surge protectors and extension cords.

A while after Stephoscope finished putting the noose around CryMeARiver's neck and released him to let him hang from the ceiling, they took him down and checked to make sure he was dead. As Nachomamma8 and Stephoscope turned around from checking CryMeARiver's vital signs, each found themselves staring down a Smith and Wesson. One shot from each was all it took.

"Gentlemen, I think you'll find your victory to be hollower than you'd anticipated," said one of the administrators as kunkstar7 and Robocopter87 strode out of the conference room.

:? "How so?" asked kunkstar7.

"Most of the other World Class corps heard what happened and are pulling out in protest," said the admin. "It's a lot easier to control who wins when you're the only two competitors."

Numbers never lie. You can put on a show. Your 13 championships are proof of that.

However, you're feeling a bit uncertain about your future. You yourself admitted in 2008 that you were Constantly Risking Absurdity in your shows, and you're worried you'll start generating shows that are too beyond the judges... wouldn't it be awesome if you could ensure that only you could win championships?

But you know you can't pull it off alone. You'll need another corps to help you, and they'll want a cut of the spoils. Ah well, such is life.

Welcome to Drum Corps International Mafia,
kunkstar7
. You are the
Blue Devils
, the corps with the most titles of any of them... and you want more.

You are the
Mafia Godfather
. You have the following special abilities:

Factional:

You are a member of the Mafia with
Nicodemus
Robocopter87
(Carolina Crown, Mafia Goon). Each night, you may discuss in this QuickTopic who to kill and who to send to make the kill. As long as you are both alive, you have the final say on who kills and who dies. Your kill method is "Got the Blues Real Bad".
Safeclaim:
You know that
Santa Clara Vanguard

Passive:

The Godfather, Part BLUE:
If you are investigated by a cop, you will appear innocent. However, you are not immune to other information roles.

You win when all other factions have left the game, or nothing can prevent this from happening.

Welcome to Drum Corps International Mafia,

Oh, so close. You can feel the championship getting closer and closer, and it's almost agonizing waiting for the day when it finally happens. Second place last year... Welcome to Drum Corps International Mafia,
Nicodemus
Robocopter87
. You are
Carolina Crown
, the highest-placing corps not to have won a championship. You'd like to get one, but you're not confident you can do it on your own... luckily for you, you've joined forces with another corps to try to get one for yourself.

You win when all other factions have left the game, or nothing can prevent this from happening.

Since 1983 in North Carolina, when the crowd felt you should have won a competition and booed the judges for ranking you in second place, you've felt that rankings don't matter, but how you feel after a performance does. Well, you're on the biggest stage of your life... and you'll have to improvise as you go.

Dvořák. Borodin. Bizet. You've played them all - composers and pieces that people should have heard of, but haven't.

The result in the past has been that you've gotten high marks from the judges, but the spectators haven't enjoyed your shows as much as some others. Well, I suppose it makes sense for you to not get a particularly interesting job to do here.

Movie music is your lifeblood. Well, of course it is, you're based in Los Angeles County. Hollywood's practically right next door. You're a certified movie buff by that fact alone.

However, thrust into a situation like this, you're forced to remember that not every story has a cinematic ending. Hopefully you can help make sure this one does.
