Alright, ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to The Duel! You notice that you are right next to a body of water. There are a Series of ropes.

The Goal? Last untill the end, and win the Final challenge, as well as 1 MILLION DOLLARS! Because we had more guys than girls, some guys had gender changes at random. If 1 more person wants to sign up, they wil automatically be a girl. There are no teams, but strategizing, balk talk etc. Is still encouraged. Without further ado, let's get started with our First challenge!

This challenge is called
Jumper
.

This challenge is simple. You start from the far rope, and jump over to the close rope.

How to do it:

[Contestant] jumps to rope [#]
while you jump, roll a d2. If you roll a 1, you can continue. If you roll a 2, you miss and fall into the water. You do so once evry minute, until lyou fall off or reach the last rope. There are 24 ropes. The person closest to the last rope, or the fastest person to get to the farthest rope (
seconds included!
) if their is a tie.

Example:

Stephen jumps, at 00:00:00 (Hours:minutes:seconds from first jump). She jumps to the first rope, and gets it. She can then jump again at 00:01:00. She continues, and at 00:10:25, she falls off rope #9.

Evan goes, and at 00:09:30, falls off of the same rope. Evan beat Stehpen, and may win the challenge.

The best guy, and girl win the Challenge, have Immunity, and something else I will explain after the challenge.

With random.org deciding who goes first, this is the order (strikeouts mean they can't win):

1. magellan (now a girl)
timed out
2. pickemgenius
timed out
3. Zang
Missed rope 1
4. Zodiark13
Missed rope 1
5. Panzerjager
Missed rope 1
6. crywolf20084 Rope 4, 00:04:35
7. mastermind

8. Col.Cathart

9. Drench

10. Cybele
11. Devotress

12. Starbuck

13. joe478

14. ConfidAnon

15. mb53 (now a girl)

16. Chevre[/b]
17. farside22

Just to be clear, you must wait a minute (60 seconds) before posting your next jump. If you suceed, but wait less then 1 minute, that time will be added on to your score.

[mrow][col]Cybele[col]crywikf20084 Ropes[col]1[col]4 Time[col]00:01:00[col]00:04:35

Note: Each person has 24 hours to go or they auto-forfeit. WEEKENDS (Saturday/Sunday) count as 24 hours. If someone's turn shows up during Saturday/Sunday, they have either untill Monday that same time(for turns that start on Saturday), or 12 more hours (for turns that start on Sunday).

As far as I can tell, there's no good reason for it to be done in a mandatory order.
This was a test to see how to would work. I know I'm not doing it again.

EDIT: I'm PM'ing people when their turn is on. If you don't get it, I'm not online. Plain and simple.

I was just informed that Cayke was early going from rope 2 to 3. When I checked it out, she was 15 seconds early, so I'm adding it to her time.

With that, these are our winners! Cybele, you are immune from Elimination. Since the girls are already immune, crywolf was immune before the game started.

[mrow][col]Cybele[col]crywolf20084 Ropes[col]1[col]4 Time[col]00:01:00[col]00:04:35

Alright, now for the Explaining. In this game, instead of Voting, there will be something I like to call "The List". It goes like this. The best Boy & Girl, together, choose a player to not enter the duel. This player must choose another player, but of the opposite gender (SEE OP) (normally, it would be of the other gender, but since girls are immune, crywolf is the only one to take part in it, so guys only please!) The last guy, and the last Girl picked bust choose another player (once again, of the same gender, and not any of the safe players) to Duel against. I wil lthen spin the 'Wheel of Elimination", and they play a Duel. The winner stays in the game, the loser is eliminated.

--EXAMPLE--

Players 1-8 are playing. Players 1-4 are male and 5-8 are female. 4 & 8 are Immune, and get to choose the first "Link", or player in the List.

They choose Player 2:

Current List:
  • Players 4 & 7
  • Player 2
Players 2 must then choose from either of 5,6 or 8. Then that girl must choose either 1 or 3.

So, in the end, the list MAY look like this:
  • Players 4 & 7
  • Player 2
  • Player 8
  • Player 3
  • Player 6
In this example, Players 5 and 1 are in the Duel, and must choose another player of the same gender to Duel against.

More info coming in the next post!

How to select:

Once Cayke/Cybele choose the first Link, then that person must post
[Contestant] chooses [Other Player] to form a chain.
. If you aren't selected by the list, you must post
[Contestant] wants to Duel against [Other Player]
.

Cybele, crywolf, you have 72 hours (3 days) to choose the first Link.

Just to make sure everyone can understand, THESE PLAYERS ARE NOT UP FOR ELIMINATION:

Cybele (Won the Challenge)
Starbuck (Female)
Devotress (Female)
farside22 (Female)
Chevre (Female)
crywolf20084 (Female, Won the Chellange)
mastermind (Female)
magellan (Female)
mb53 (Female)

Also, if I PM with anyone with the Title "Confessional" I would like you to respond ASAP. I may go around with a round of those so soon. I will post some of them, and they will be 100% Anonymous.

Alright, the Duel is
Pushed!

The Goal is to Score 5 Points on your opponent. You do that by shoving him off of his podium.

To push, say
[Contestant] pushes [Other Contestant]
. The other contestant has 2 minutes to post
[Contestant] holds on
or he falls off and gives the other player a point.

The game starts at
8:00 PM EST, Today

No, I was one of the most active players. I don't think I could be eliminates because of this, and also because this was a random challenge you can't tell if I'm a strong player or weak player. I see no reason for me to have to duel.

No, I'm not skipping. My school got out early. You notice you are on a field, with lots of things that look similar to balance boards, only rounder and scattered around.

Welcome to All Shook up!

Alright, the goal in All Shook up is to stay on your balance board the longest. What makes this so hard is the fact that there are electric motors inside the, so it is harder to stay on.

How To play!

To play, you post
[Contestant] keeps balance
. Your first one is 10 minutes after, then your second is 9 minutes and 30 seconds after then the next one 9 minutes, etc. untill you reach 30 seconds. If you miss balancing for 1 minute (this means you can't be early, but you may be up to 1 minute late), you fall off.
If you need a way to keep track of seconds, I reccomend you use r in the Date Format setting in your Profile

If you make it to the 30 second deadline, then you have 10 more 30s deadlines to finish, and you beat the eletric balance boards!

What happens if you're early to the post deadline? What happens if you're more than 1 minute late?
Being early (as long as it isn`t massiveley early, like trying to do 2 at the same time) will just make me add the time on (if you are trying to do 2 at the same time, you would be Eliminated),. If your more than 1 minute late (like Chevre) you get Eliminated.

Examples:

Players A is 5 seconds early - He gets 5 seconds added on

Player B is positng one, then immeditaley positng the other. He is eliminated.

I`m trying to find sentences that make sense. Please forgive me.

If he`s 1 minute early, then he would likley be eliminated. 5 minutes, without a doubt, he would be Eliminated.

Think of it like this:

If you post exactly 1 minute early, you may be Eliminated. If you post exactly 1 minute late, then that extra time gets added onto your overall time.

You post that your first balance. Then the next one is 10 minutes after the first one.
After that you deduct 30 seconds there after to balance so the next one is 9:30 (minute:seconds) then 9 minutes even and so forth?
Yes.

@mastermind:

It goes Balances first, then time second. If 2 people tie for balances, then whoever had the shortest time wins.

Well. SL had many other types of challenges, not just these posting ones. I didn't care for SL's posting challenges either. The final immunity challenge over in Survivor, I only won through sheer luck that the forums didn't lag for me at that time, really it was a 1 in 100 chance that that challenge was going to be playable and I fluked out. If you go look back at that survivor thread though, we mostly had a pretty negative reaction to that very first challenge which was also a posting challenge.
When SL did do a posting challenges, it usually also had some other element. Coordination with a teammate, or whatever. As opposed to 1 player posting "hey i'm still here" every 1 minute.
When the time window is that tight I truely believe every challenge is a diceroll, atleast for me, the mafiascum forums just hang up on me alot.
Yeah, I get it. It's just that this game (based of a real reality show) doesn't really have partners, so I needed to think of individual challenges.
