Nope, not unless you want to play another game. Basically, Vel counts through the thread and picks out the next 6 newbies, next 2 SE's and next IC and gives them to a mod. Then he starts again with the rest of the people in the queue. You be able to see who's going to be in the next game by looking at the first post, if SOMEONE has updated it

Haha. Dude, the mod has to write out PM's and write flavor and the rules and send out the PM's and make sure everythings ok before he can feel ready to open the game. It takes me at least 3 hrs to get a newbie game read...and that's when I use rules and PM's from my previous modded games. And THAT'S after modding 4 games before. DarkLight has only modded one, let him make sure he gets it right.

Have you read VRK's first post, it has a lot of rules to do with the newbie queue such as first time players only being allowed to play

one

newbie game. Then being allowed to replace in and play one game after completing the first game. If you havent better read it now, Mr ListMod gets his feathers all ruffled if he keeps needing to repeat himself

Once a player has completed 2 game, they automatically become an SE. This stops the newbie queue from being clogged up with players who are not pure newbies. Don't worry, Semi-Experienced is not meant to be a teaching role, if you don't feel comfortable enough to teach leave it to the IC's. There's two in every game now. Don't be concerned about mucking up in your game either, everybodies mucks up in mafia now and again including the list mods

Don't be pressured to teach anyone anything. It's not really your job.

No. I feel the same way, I'd have loved to mod one, but wasn't able to because it meant coming up with 3 setups (including flavor) in the space two weeks, when I was having problems with my heart anyway.

Once you've completed your first game, you can play one game from scratch and replace into as many as you like. (careful though, overloading yourself and having to replace out can get you banned from the newbie queue :O)

You're in the SE queue rather than the newbie queue, presumably because you've played more than 2 games on site. You will be in the game after next.

You /in to IC in queue and then you need to send your 5 completed games to Vel-Rahn Koon who will review said games and either add you to the list or talk to you and explain why he doesn't think you are ready to you. You must read the IC Guide thoroughly on the wiki and stick to what it said. Knowledge of mafia and the general mechanics is a must have. Patience is something that is definately necessary aswell.

No. Unless you have one completed game on site. If you have 1 completed (sitewide) game, you can play one new game and replace into as many as you can handle. Only once you have 2 completed games on site can you play more than one newbie game from scratch.

For your first game you can replace in one game or play one new one from scratch. Once you are dead in one game you can play one new game and replace into as many as you like. Once you are dead in two games, you are known as an SE (semi experienced player) and can play as many as you like. Be careful though, you dont want to get overloaded.

He'll hand the players over to the mod who will send him the setup and roles everyone has (just in case) then the mod will get privilages for Centurion allowing them to create a thread in Road to Rome where the game will be played. Once the thread is setup, the mod will send all the players their Role PM's and once everybody confirms the game will begin. Be sure to read the rules that the mod will post in the second post of the thread, they're very important - ignorance will not be an acceptable explanation if they're broken.

It can take up to a week for a game to begin cause...well...you can't expect VRK to hang around ALL day and the mod has to prepare the thread and everyone needs to confirm their role.

Also, don't be surprised if a player doesn't confirm and another one gets nicked from the top of the queue.

As the mod of 961, I must inform you that you got replaced in that game by request. I believe you can't in as an SE unless you have another game where you either went until endgame, or killed before then.

Games players replace out of (AFAIK) don't count towards a players total games. All other games count, unless modkilled - although It's doubtful that a player would want that to be remembered anyway.

If you have not IC'd before, then you should send 5 completed games.

Pacman, I would wait to IC so as that is a long time to be V/LA. There is the option for a temporary replacement but I think that would just confuse the newbies more.

Sorry HOMJ, it doesn't work like that. You MUST have completed your first newbie game before taking on another newbie game. If you really want to play a game, there's no reason why you can't play and Open, Mini/Large Normal, Mini/Large Theme. However, if you are going to take that route, I would suggest an Open game as it has the next 'difficulty level'.

I doubt you'll complete you're mini normal before your newbie game starts. You are allowed to play 4 minis games (you can split that number between theme'd and normal), and unlimited Open/large games but until you've completed 2 games on site, you can only sign up to 1 newbie game after one game you can replace into as many newbie games as you can handle.

I wouldn't recommend going overboard with signups though.
