Yup.Locke Lamora Post 192 wrote:Sotty: I assume you're referring to Konowa's line of attack against you taking place in the context of charter already having name claimed?
I see your point about scum having to feign ignorance, but I do feel you are over reacting a bit here. Basically because I can see myself asking a question like Budja did.SocioPath Post 194 wrote:Locke Lamora wrote:SocioPath: have you never asked someone questions about their reasoning in a situation where you think you know what that reasoning is?
Except the difference here is, it wasn't a vote, and more importantly, it wasn't a single person he was asking about.Sotty7 wrote:SocioPath's vote on Budja is pretty strange to me. I often ask people to explain why they are voting for someone even if I might know the answer. To hear them explain in their own words can be helpful in deciding if the suspicion is genuine or not.
He didn't ask about the first 2 people on the list, he asked about the last 2, 2 people that weren't even separated by a comma, just a forward slash. Implying they were related already. Its pretty easy to pinpoint accusations when you have 2 people to draw similarities from.
To play it off as just a 'explanation as to why' is silly. It was obvious as to why, to claim otherwise is just feigning ignorance. The types of people that try to feign the most ignorance are those that are actually more informed, i.e. scum.
So lets see where this vote takes us.
And lets see if Triple D has anything to say either way. Considering he is an essential part of this whole equation.-

Okey dokey.
- chamber should be lynched
- SocioPath's vote on Budja is good-ish; Budja was certainly being dumb but I can't say whether I'd go so far as to call it a scumtell or not
- Sotty's vote on Konowa strikes me as a touch OMGUSy (more to do with the way he phrased it than anything Konowa did)
- Locke's post 192 is good
- chamber should be lynchedtread softly because you tread on my dreams

@Socio, why would I bother "feigning ignorance" anyway?
To look more uninformed than you may be.
That is a ridiculous statement.Budja wrote:I prefer fact over my personal assumption.
First, the conclusions were easily drawn, it needed no assumptions for what was blatantly obvious.
Second, every time you vote a player, it is based off of personal assumptions.
There are very few facts in the general game of mafia that we play, especially on a D1 day start.
Its absurd to think that you actually play this game basing everything around facts.
Which you didn't say, per se. You justpreferfacts. Which is a way to weasel out of definites, which are what facts are.

not really. but i'll try harder. i've played scum with budja before. don't have a good read on him here and instinct always says to lynch millers but he handled the claim right. i don't like chamber's persistence, but with the flavor in this game i am unsure of how to read him at this point. you're kind of scummy, though. but that might just be residual feelings from the newb forum. i just finished rabbit doubt mafia and scum had a pr, so i don't see any reason to clear based on that. i'd like to here more from konowa as i have no problem supporting their lynch at this point. honestly, though, i need to reread a bit to clarify my thoughts. thanks for asking, though. it seems like people are either forgetting i exist or trying to lynch me all the time. its almost odd to be asked my opinion. *sigh*town 39-32

He leaves me these doll parts...like pieces of a puzzle. I like puzzles
But, there's nothing more frustrating than putting a puzzle together and
still finding it doesn't make sense.
Debra: So...Miami's the haystack...the ice truck is the needle....big brother, I just found the needle.
Laguerta: Why go to all this trouble? What is this sicko trying to tell us?
Not us...me.
My freezer, the painted doll's finger nails...
I think he's trying to impress me...
and it's working.

Vote: Jebusfor still contributing nothing. Maybe a little pressure will encourage a meaningful post.
Konowa: you still haven't explained how directly asking about abilities is less scummy than asking for a nameclaim.
Chamber: do you have an actual read on Almaster? 'Confused' doesn't constitute one. What confused you in his meta?
Still waiting for Almaster to respond. If ya smell what The Locke is cookin'!

1 His play in this game doesn't resemble his previous play as either alignment to me.Locke Lamora wrote:Vote: Jebusfor still contributing nothing. Maybe a little pressure will encourage a meaningful post.

2 I'd expect his play to come from a player with about as much experience as his wiki suggests, not someone with 4+ years of it.
All in all I'm just confused. If I had to say one way or another I'd say scum, but im not confident.
Jebus promised to post this weekend and claimed to be absent till then. I suggest waiting till at least saturday rolls around before voting him.Taking a break from the site.-

Any point to this post? What did you feel from don's post?Socio wrote:What? No love?
@don, you seem oddly disinterested in this game. You are usually more aggressive. What gives?
---
@Socio, I try to explain better
Charters reasoning for his votecouldbe different from my speculation. By getting his answer, I know with a greater certainty what his motivation is.
An example: chambers first vote on charterappearedto me to be based on his attack on me. However when questioned, he said it was basically a random vote.

@DDD, thats probably just my playstyle, but I don't really know my own meta.-

But yeah, not only is don not scumhunting, he hasn't lifted a finger all game.

Yes, I was curious as to why I was no longer in the Top 3. I generally function better when people are attacking me. I tend to get better reads on people, as to whether it is an attack from scum or town.Budja wrote:

Youlisted an example where intent wasn't clear.
WhatIwas getting at was the answer and intent wasveryclear.
I can't see how you continue to act as if the question you were originally asking wasn't obvious.
How about this:
You tell me how that list could have been perceived in any other way when it comes to me and Triple D. What ELSE could it have meant? Please enlighten me.

It's been a pretty punchless version of it and lately he's just descended into WIFOM overload. Trend analysis, trend analysis. Good cop out to not actually present reasons, but just throw that up there to hide behind.Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:
