At the speed this game is going, I'm happy with whatever at this point.Budja wrote:Nice insightful posting there .
Uh, outing the bombs is probably a bad idea. I think it benefits scum two different ways. 1) They will know who not to target. Right now the threat of people being bombs is probably the only thing keeping the body count so low. 2) Scum can fakeclaim bombs to avoid being vigged.Budja wrote:How about a little setup discussion.
@all, how do you feel about a bomb-claim?
Kinda a scummy suggestion there, Budja. If anything, super-saint-claim(s) would be better.Occasionally intellectually honest

Eh, I asked the question as it appears to have roughly even pros/cons in my view. Now quag (bomb) is dead, it is probably more of a bad idea.
Note that it would give the vigs a free reign and well as the mafia.
Why would a super-saint claim be better? It gives scum a free target (much like with the bombs claiming) and reduces the risk of hammering to scum (which would discourage quickhammers by scum in LyLo).-

Giving the vigs free reign is probably also a bad idea given that activity is so low that nobody can get a decent read on anybody else.Budja wrote:Eh, I asked the question as it appears to have roughly even pros/cons in my view. Now quag (bomb) is dead, it is probably more of a bad idea.

True. I guess the thing that's worrying me more is fakeclaims. Bomb seem more useful in keeping random kills down throughout the game versus a super-saint's role of stopping the quick-lynch at LYLO.Budja wrote:Why would a super-saint claim be better? I almost think that the setup is too balanced. I feel deadlocked.Occasionally intellectually honest

I can't see any advantages to really be gained from the set-up either. Bombs and supersaints can be town or anti-town depending on the situation.
I don't see it as so bad as he is explaining his reasons.CKD wrote: ML is suspect with his voting hoping around and request for a wagon.
Having a wagon is not bad, but with mole's general apathy not much is happening.
I am still torn on this. I would vote if I was more confident but mole's behaviour is borderline enough that I don't really feel like lynching him, for now at least.Kublai wrote: Since Budja is offering a virtual L-1 at this point.
Do you think my question was scum-motivated then? Is a bomb claim that bad?Kublai wrote: Kinda a scummy suggestion there, Budja.
@CKD, why did you abandon your case on me? You seemed pretty convinced before.-

meh,
Case is not abandoned.....I still feel like you were scummy day 1...but dont know if Budscum would vote at the end of yesterday unless he knew the role....if there had been a scum flip yesterday...yeah...I would be on you...but KK is right, it is hard to believe that you would have jumped on that wagon...that being said..it WAS after the deadline has closed, but meh....
I also dont see Budscum, asking me about my case on Bud.....I think budscum, would have just let that heat die....to me, seems like someone trying to get conversation started....
so you are in the neutral catagory....but everyone is in the neutral catagory really....back in town, so I will reread, but game seems to be slow...everyone is waiting...for something to happen.....NO YOU'RE OVER DEFENSIVE-

Eh, I don't think you're scum.. But you did move from town-ish to neutral.Budja wrote:Do you think my question was scum-motivated then? Is a bomb claim that bad?
Agreed. I'm getting to a point where I'm believing that those who are lurking the most have to be scum. I'm getting ready to move my vote to ChannelDelibird or MacavityLock.Budja wrote:With this attitude, nothing will happen.Occasionally intellectually honest

Still here. I am replacing out of a couple of games (getting back to uni has had more impact than I thought it would) in order to be able to put enough time into this and Lost mafia.
Re: bomb claim - I'm struggling to see any benefit. What springs to my mind immediately as optimum town play there seems at best confusing. The claiming ideas as a whole just seem to be a desperate attempt to kick start the game, and as worthy an intent as that is, I don't see unprompted claims like that having any pro-town use.#greenshirtthursdays-

I really don't like how ChannelDelibird and Porochaz are totally avoiding commenting on the molestargazer wagon. Porochaz is V/LA until... Friday? (Feels like it's been longer) But ChannelDelibird doesn't have the same excuse.
His inactivity is dragging the game and killing the wagon on molestargazer. Strong scum-partner possibility.Occasionally intellectually honest

Looks like I'm gonna die.
You're blaming the inactivity of 2 people of killing the wagon on me?Kublai Khan wrote:I really don't like how ChannelDelibird and Porochaz are totally avoiding commenting on the molestargazer wagon. Unless someone else gets more votes by tomorrow (real-tomorrow), I'm dead anyway. Read the rules. Their inactivity wouldn't help me anyway. And, well, you can't call most people's activity good.
The Rules wrote:(15b) If the game reaches deadline before a majority lynch happens, the player with the most votes at that time will be lynched. In the event of a tie, the player who had the most votes (of those tied) before the tie will be lynched. My Wiki Page|My Last.FM|My Steam

I was thinking that it could both help vigs and potentially trap scum, but I certainly see what you're saying.Kublai Khan wrote:
That would be the exact same thing as a bomb claim! It's like handing the mafia a "Who to kill to win the game" list.MacavityLock wrote:As for Bomb-claim, I don't think I'm for it. What do people think of a Vig/Not Vig massclaim?-

My not adding anything to my previous comments on the mole wagon was supposed to indicate that my opinion had not changed. I still think it makes sense.Kublai Khan wrote:I really don't like how ChannelDelibird and Porochaz are totally avoiding commenting on the molestargazer wagon. Porochaz is V/LA until... Friday? Sorry, no supersaint here. I'm a Pro-Town Vig.
My case was an easy one to hop on. I understand why you're doing it, but I don't think that my trying to make a case and move the game along, trying to get myself interested in the game again, is something lynch-worthy. As I've stated repeatedly, that's all I was trying to do.
I urge you to look at those who pushed my wagon along - and don't let the scum control the conversation. I fear that with the inactivity it'll be too easy for the scum to control our lynches and end this game pretty quick. My Wiki Page|My Last.FM|My Steam
