I'm definatively willing to differ to Peabody, if that's what people want. I want a lynch, and I want one ASAP. I plan on rereading D1 at least once, probably a few times, when we have some flips, and we're almost certainly past the point of diminishing returns at this point.

Hoopla has 'corrected' herself considerably in my mind, to the point I no longer find her scummier than average. I don't really see where she's coming from about me supposedly becoming a lot better with flips, though. To be honest, I'm very lost in this game; I usually spend the early game getting people to do or say stuff that becomes gold later, and I use those things.

Anyways, I'm willing to lynch CoCo, Peabody, or Cathart. Preferably ASAP.

Unvote, Vote: Peabody

That's L-1, folks. I support someone off the wagon asking for a claim, with intentions to hammer.

You're contributing regularily. I still think you're scummy, but I'm happy to give you at least another day; similar to how I think you feel about me.

Considering I'm off the wagon and happen to be reasonably against Peabody being scum. I'll go ahead and say claim or die Peabody.

What's the hold-up? There are now 7 people either voting for Peabody or willing to have Peabody hammered. That's a majority, and if it weren't for the fact a claim might save him, CoCo would have hammered by now.

I think Cyberbob is referencing CoCo's play from yesterday, ie this;
CoCo wrote: Yes, I think Peabody is town.

We need to get on with it, but CoCo should tell us why he wants to hammer Peabody.

I think Bob is saying it's weird that though CoCo opposes the lynch, he's still willing to place the hammer ("claim or die").

charter: Don't you think it's a little ironic that you accuse of me waiting to see which bandwagon will take off before committing, as you at this very second are asking people which bandwagon they'd be more likely to join so that you know which one to join yourself?

Obviously because you're scum and he's a massive detriment to town.
That this is the most obvious explanation to you is more telling of your psychology and how prone you are to confirmation bias than it does anything about this game.

I really don't want to claim right now, and to be honest, I don't think I'm going to be lynched today anyway. Of course, anyone can hammer now, but I would be useless if I claimed anyway. Once I'm convinced someone won't jump off my wagon, I'll claim.

I think you misunderstood what Snesfan was saying. He was asking for someone who would be willing to hammer to ask for a claim so that we have a seventh person to drop the hammer after the claim. Are you saying that you would be willing to hammer Peabody right now?

I absolutely 100% support a Peabody hammer ASAP.
He is very clearly stalling for time. No Town player would not claim if they had any claim worth shit right now; someone placed the L-1 vote and was comfortable with a claim-or-die, then someone off the wagon gave the claim-or-die.
He's stalling.
Hammer the scumbag.
Especially after the scumilicious softclaim.

Final Vote Count for Day 1

Players needed to lynch: 7

CoCo
- 2 - Peabody, Col.Cathart - (L-5)
mathcam
- 1 - charter - (L-6)
Peabody
- 7 - Cyberbob, Vaya, Hoopla, mathcam, Talitha, SensFan, SerialClergyman - (L-0)
Vaya
- 1 - le Chat - (L-6)

Players not voting: CoCo

As the sun slowly sets, the majority of the town is strongly fixated on Peabody as their choice for lynch.

"Admit that you're a commie or we'll kill you" shouts the town.

"In that case, I'm a proud communist. Since I admitted it, you can't kill me." replies Peabody in a unique attempt to escape death.

The town is momentarily taken aback as they didn't expect their ultimatum to be answered in that manner. They quickly formed a huddle before re-addressing Peabody.

"We've talked it over. We've decided it's fine to lie to Communists who would dare desecrate Old Glory! Lynch him up!"

Peabody is marched to the gallows where he is hung until dead. May God have mercy on his soul.

Feeling safe after successfully uncovering and lynching a filthy rotten no-good Communist that was hidden amongst them the town went to sleep and rested peacefully. When they awoke, they were aghast to discover that the Stars and Bars had again been pulled to the ground and stomped on. The horror! Those fiends! There is no possible crime that the townspeople could have possibly committed to have warranted such an evil and despicable act.

After disposing of the stomped flag in a somber proper burning ceremony, you finally notice that your numbers have been reduced by one.

Talitha, Vanilla Townie, Killed Night 1

It is now Day 2. It takes 6 to lynch.

I gotta say, I'm surprised with this night kill. Talitha was actually someone who was considered scummy by at least two people (SC, CoCo), so I don't know why scum went after someone, who could be actual wagon target for D2... Unless she was too good in her suspicions, and she got to be silenced. I'll check her posts, to see it from this angle, and see what we can get from it, but tomorrow, since it's horribly late at night in here, and I have work tomorrow.

i dont really think we should spend too much effort trying to outguess the nightkill. that seems like chasing ghosts. we can definitely remember what talitha said now that we know she wasn't scum, but i think more important is that peabody *was* scum, and we can work with that.

i think that peabody's wifom garbage doesn't matter and it doesn't make me any more or less suspicious of vaya. i sort of have to force myself to think that way, purposefully. I had my vote on vaya when Day 1 ended, and the peabody wagon finalized when I was away with the semester's first exams, but I'm not going to revote vaya. i think my vote is better off of him.

i reread Day 1 after I saw peabody was dead scum and I tried to find connections to his possible partner(s). a lot of people seemed to accept the fact that he was scum near the end, and pointed blame towards each other. the end of the wagon was confusing, mainly including talitha, sensfan, and serialclergyman. though talitha turned up vanilla townie, a patriot, god rest her soul, and it makes me rethink the Day 1 end scramble.

Peabody went after CoCo a fair amount. He also focused on Talitha.

I'm going to AWA this weekend, so I will post again tomorrow (Fri), and then I'll be V/LA for the weekend with more thoughts on Mon.

Because a large part of my theory was mathcam voting Peabody. However, Peabody did call my theory against mathcam scummy, but I'm more inclined to think Peabody was trying to shift blame on to me as opposed to off of mathcam.
