I don't think zwet's play is compatible with a bulletproof role.

Being new to this....
I am looking based on what is claimed and the actions that match his claimed name. I don't like his whole I am only going to hammer vote, and I don't believe that is a bullet proof townie thing to do.
I believe we have gained a good enough information for the hammer,
vote: Zwet-

Anyway, I Googled and found this:

Anyone experienced with MtG game history want to confirm the accuracy of that? If it is relevant at all?I lost the game.-

Back. What the fuck, why was zwet lynched so quickly? I'll try to re-read ASAP, and I still have all of Tar's game to read.Taking a temporary retirement from playing mafia games... damn you invitationals.
Coming in Summer 2010: Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Mafia. The most nonsensical game of mafia you'll ever play.
Note: V/LA most weekends, sorry.-

First of, Mufasa's cross-game posting has to stop - it's extremely confusing. Second, I think the changes in behavior noted by starbuck are what led to zwet's lynching. His job as a bulletproof townie was to act as obv-town as possible. He did not. That said, hammering less than ten minutes after the L-1 vote (especially by a newer player) is extremely suspicious. It looks noob-scum to me.-

I don't know that Zwet was acting in an especially suspicious manner, the 'I only hammer' notion just needed to be discouraged. It's unfortunate that he had to claim, and he probably should have lied and claimed a protective role or something, but oh well. I'm going to have to agree about whoot. I generally try to stay completely clear of 'policy lynches' but in this case noob scum looks like the best explanation, especially since that's the only way scum can kill a bullet proof townie.qwints wrote:First of, Mufasa's cross-game posting has to stop - it's extremely confusing. What do you think whoot, what made you want to drop the hammer so quickly?Immoral Acts: 0-

zwet "only hammers" in most of the games I've seen. I wanted him lynched for completely different reasons, but I wanted a bit more time to mull over the details.
Wow, I couldn't disagree with you more. Firstly, townies shouldn't lie. What if he was asked to protect someone later? Secondly, this could have outed an actual protective role if they were tempted to counterclaim. This sentence doesn't sit right with me at all.Head_Honcho wrote:It's unfortunate that he had to claim, and he probably should have lied and claimed a protective role or something, but oh well.
However, I noticed the same thing you noticed with Boxman. Here's his contribution to the zwet wagon:

For doing stuff I guess.Boxman 72 wrote:Zwet: Maybe focusing a little too much on the bastard mod aspect of Tar games. Seems neutral to me.Boxman 155 wrote:Uh, okay, I think that puts Zwet at L-2. Don't give him another vote until he either claims or refuses to claim, guys.Boxman 159 wrote:Anyway, bulletproof isn't exactly the best claim in the world. You have a name?
I really don't like this. His random vote was never confirmed, explained or backed up - it just stayed there, and I think he doth protest too much towards the end.Boxman 178 wrote:...Did you just hammer? Seriously?
Of all the people on the wagon, Boxman and whoot are the scummiest. noobscum hammer fits best.Stars Aligned III continues!-

Bah. I forgot the rule about us being able to talk at night because the thread was locked when I got back from V/LA. But for discussion.

Are you sure that's what your reason was? Look up at the quote above this one. It looks a bit different. I don't think there's any policy anywhere that says a quick lynch is good for a town in these kind of circumstances..whoot1234 wrote:I thought it was a policy lynch to lynch claimed Vanilla Townies
That said, zwet, after this game would you mind explaining the reasoning for why you acted the way you did as a bulletproiof and why you only hammer by policy? Those are two really intrigue me.-

Nice try, scum. He claimed bulletproof. One of the most powerful pro-town roles. It's notoriously difficult for scum to get rid of bulletproof roles, for obvious reasons. Unless the opportunity to lynch them presents itself, which you eagerly took.
Also, policy lynching those who claim vanilla is really dumb. It makes actual vanilla townies fakeclaim.
Even ifyou thought that he claimed vanilla - if you're going to lynch someone onpage eight, doing it for policy reasons is retarded.Stars Aligned III continues!
