Psh. I'm not going to let someone active-lurk up until Page 10 to the point where nothing has been said in two days.
I'm summarizing my behavior toward you: three times repeating that you should get into the game, and once getting annoyed because you had the nerve to insinuate that I was no better than you.
And I am acting town. ^_^
How's that read?As I move my vote

You are no better than me, unless you are one of two roles. Mason, you have someone who is knowning on your side. Or Scum, then you know who you should jump onto.Ether wrote:Psh. I'm not going to let someone active-lurk up until Page 10 to the point where nothing has been said in two days.

There are some other things that you maybe a tracker/watcher/cop or some other information gathering role and you know something that I don't at this point of time.
And no, I wasn't going to active lurk up to page 10 but the way you're acting right now, on page four, is pretty much the same as you would on page 10 where there is a mass of lurkers.aim:gochat?roomname=ScumChat&Exchange=5
Ether: Do stuff.
Crywolf: You do stuff. I'll do stuff after the rest of you have done stuff.
Ether: I am doing stuff. You're not doing stuff. I'm being better than you in this regard. Now go do stuff.
Crywolf: You're not better than me unless you have an information role!
I'm looking for something--someones--whilst you've admitted to be waiting on people like me. My role is irrelevant; what I've been doing is the model you should be following.Especiallyearly on when you don't have any content on the record yet.
Thereisa mass of lurkers. Most of them I'm willing to leave their own devices for at least another day or two; I acknowledge that there hasn't much realtime yet. But when you make pop in with posts like "cool, I see stuff is happening now but I'm going tounvotewithout talking about it" and "hai Corvuus's replacement!," it's clear you're following the thread without actually doing anything. AndthenI get really annoyed.
What are your thoughts on Mizzy, Fuzzyman, Canary and Ped? Hell, the only thing you've said aboutmyalignment was 74.As I move my vote

This game moves fast. After GC's wall 'o text, I'm feeling better about him because of what he said in it. Seems like pretty reasonable criticism to me. As for crywolf, she mainly seems a bit touchy, but I don't have much of a read on her. I'm tempted to go with the favorite so far, Mizzy.
I can see Ether as protown because of her response, but this still seems like a pretty weird excuse to me. In fact, Ether's response shouldn't have anything to do with how reasonable the excuse is.Mizzy wrote:I didn't mention my real reasons for my vote on purpose; to see who asked me about them and in what order/context. The way you did it pointed you out to me as being probtown. I could be wrong but hey, first impressions and all that.
Apparently she didn't notice what Ether underlined.Mizzy wrote:The middle one I won't respond to because there doesn't seem to be anything to respond to.
Alright. So what it seems like Mizzy's saying is that Ether wants to win. And that Ether takes actions to increase her chance of winning. I'm really not sure how this tells us anything. I'll give her a chance to respond, but I'm tempted to vote for her.Mizzy wrote:
And the last one I would urge you to re-read what I said, slowly, with a stiff drink to wash it all down with.Post 48, Ether wrote:
I am not sure what it is you just said.Post 43, Mizzy wrote:Ether tends to act that way regardless of alignment. By that, I mean she uses adjectives like "insolent." She's just that way. And her goal, I'm sure, is to win, no matter what side she's on. All of us should have the same goal, which means that everyone's actions in this game can safely be assumed to be for the purpose of meeting that goal.
Also, as long as we're calling on the people who haven't said anything yet, can we get Tisp, Simpor, Aceagain, and q21 to contribute their ideas?Art for wisdom

I think it's a bit too early to be jumping on anything other than loose phrases. Other games I've been in really haven't had the random phase affect the game in the slightest, as I'm hesitant to believe that scum, so early in the game, would slip up. Rather, they are likely either leading the pack, or tossing in a comment with no meaning here and there.
...and I just realised I haven't really given a meaningful comment thus far. I'll have to rectify that.IRC Mafia - Get over there!

On what grounds, exactly, or is it just that a big wagon looks really tempting right now?Mister Lolipedo-kun wrote:I'll give her a chance to respond, but I'm tempted to vote for her.PokerFace: "I need to play with [Ether] or Mizzy more often."

Am here. Sorry about my absence. Reading up now."I can't not give mad props to the murderbot 9000 that was q21." - Spyrex, after Scummies Invitational 2010.
You know those times when you wish you could think of something really funny or interesting to say, but just can't?... Yep, this is one of those times.-

Right, read complete. Things I've noted from it.
Fuzzyman's "names" thing early on was serious reaching. On page one, though, I'm not going to vote him for that, but I am going to keep watching him.
While GC's original vote for Mizzy was based on an honestly horrible reason, I have been impressed with his posting thereafter. I can see it getting to the point where he's using multiple decimal numbering to organise his posts, but I read fast. As long as he doesn't sprout anymore BS my read on him is town.
Mizzy... I'm not going to repeat what others have said about her. What first made me think scum was before she started getting into a verbal brawl with CG. She voted Fussy in post 22 giving joke reasons. Fair enough, it was page one, no one is taking anything too seriously.
She is then questioned about this vote and in post 39 gives real reasons for it, hinting that she'd had them all along. The veracity of those reasons can be called into question, but its been done extensively by GC and less so by Ether, I'm not going to parrot them back to you. The point here is that even were those reasons flawless why not give them when you voted? Giving reasons for a vote after the fact seems like a scummy way play, so:
unvote, vote Mizzy"I can't not give mad props to the murderbot 9000 that was q21." - Spyrex, after Scummies Invitational 2010.

Actually, now I feel like if I had voted yesterday, it would mainly have been emotional. I do think GC does raise some good points though.Mizzy wrote:

Actually, I feel better about you having admitted about the emotional-vote thing. Emotional voting happens a lot and most people like to pretend they aren't capable of it.Mister Lolipedo-kun wrote:Actually, now I feel like if I had voted yesterday, it would mainly have been emotional. So far I think q21 is the scummiest out of those three. His vote just seems like a wagon to me.
I don't have much of a read on Fuzzyman, so I'd put him next.
Out of those, I think GC's the least scummy. He's provided some good analysis, unlike the other two.Art for wisdom

Heh? Because you did it in alphabetical order?"This Court has never held that the Constitution forbids the execution of a convicted defendant who has had a full and fair trial but is later able to convince a habeas court that he is 'actually' innocent." In re Davis, 557 U.S. 952, 955 (2009) (Scalia, J., dissenting).-

q21's vote comes off a little bit wagony but I am going to wait to see some more content from him before I make up my mind any farther than the 2. You already know about why Fuzzy and I already said why about Green.PokerFace: "I need to play with [Ether] or Mizzy more often."
