VP what would you be doing differently if you were scum this game?

Not listing so many people off and drawing so much attention to myself. I probably would have played nice with Nero earlier and wouldn't have opened the day in a very aggressive manner. I'd be calling town players who are on the wrong track smart and be playing with my long term survivability in mind.

Of the main wagons, my preference is:

VP >>>> Malcolm >> Scorp

I still think VP is scum.
Malcolm I am not totally sure of and I can see a world where he is mafia. The theme of "but there are others worse than me!" in 4196 could be scum genuinely confused as to why they are being pushed for reasons that they see as applying to weaker town players. Obviously this could come from town in a similar mindset but it is something that I tend to associate a bit more with scum. Despite my reservations, I have to admit that I wouldn't be devastated at this elim because 1) if malcolm's scum then woohoo, 2) if malcolm's town then I feel it forces people, particularly April to re-evaluate the game in a way that I feel would be overall positive.

I don't townread Scrop as strongly as tene does, but the cases against Scorp don't convince me of scum motivation and my guess would still be... town, I guess. Main reason for this being worse than a Malcolm elim imo is because the reaction to a scorp-town flip would be "eh... moving on", while I think a Malcolm town-flip would have more positive impact.

There is a point where you need to care more about your social game as scum than you do as town, generally speaking.

Just follow my reads if I flip town. Scum wanted me dead for a reason. I think Nero will also deserve scrutiny if yall end up feeling that cape and skitter are town later.

I won't push this too extensively, because it doesn't look like it's going to go anywhere, but why is this an inherently bad idea?

It seems like common consensus right now that a lot of us are inherently unsure about the top three potential vote-outs in the game. Why have we not spent our time, as a result of this, trying to deduce potential alternatives when we had around half a week remaining to do so? The game has slowed down - who is inherently benefiting from this and why? I just find it interesting that a lot of players seem to have stopped pushing any new potential wagons and seem content with a state of play we're agreeing is less than satisfactory. Maybe it's just the confusion with all the replace-ins, hard to tell.

i mean im not agreeing that it's less than satisfactory. i think only a couple people wish there were alternate wagons. im pretty happy with the top 3 wagons being who they are bc i think there is very likely at least 1 scum in them

Math is saying that Galron gave a "town" read on Math so Galron would look like he has accurate and good reads this game. Math is alleging that Galron already knew Math was a mason (something galron seemingly confirmed?).

It seems like the case is basically that Galron is stupid then?

the extent to which the game feels stuck here the last few days is weird af and probably meaningful in some way but ill let the smart people figure out what that means

my instinct tho is that it means either scum is in the leading wagons and the rest of the team isn't positioned well enough or isn't active enough to push a counter/commit to a bus, or that the leading wagons are all town, and scum are apathetic about which one goes through. but on play i think the first option is the case

Ok, so I checked the timestamps and what Galron is saying does check out, at least chronologically.

I told galron at 9:38am (my time) that Math was a mason.

At 9:52 am, galron posts his Math "looks like he is town".

I think if you're being generous to galron, that could read as him lumping a bunch of ideas together into a single post. In that case, he would be saying something like 'I read the last few pages, here is what I think, oh and regardless Math is town.'

You could also interpret that post as galron trying to give a town read of Math for town points, but my thought would probably just leave it in the NAI bin since we can't know for sure.
