Mod: Can you be more specific on the deadline?

Time zones and all that worry me, I'll vote/hammer Elias tomorrow if there is no claim.

Retracted softclaim = meh. If you're town, I don't see why you'd do that. Scum likely already knows whether or not you're lying, and you'd only be retracting to save yourself from a nightkill. You're also going to confuse any potential protective/investigative/watching/vigging role.

Then again, ABR just did the same thing as town in another game. Then again, he's an idiot.

At this point, I think DGB and elias have an equal chance of turning up scum. ~45%. Let's see who Lowell and CTD choose.

unvote elias, vote: DGB

unofficial Vote Count: 7 to lynch.

Elias_the_thief: 5 (chamber, pablito, Xylthixlm, HackerHuck, DGB)
DrippingGoofball: 5 (Patrick, Elias_the_thief, elvis_knits, bluesoul, MBL)
elvis_knits: 1 (Lowell)
bluesoul: 1 (CrashTextDummie)

Let me help you lose this game. Not that you need help. But 50 pages to lynch a power role on Day 1 and let the scum live, and pile up on my wagon is just too much. I feel like Haiku Mafia. It's like the townies are sleeping, and the scum totally controls the agenda. I like to see that kind of town lose, and let that be a lesson for future games.

Exactly the reaction I'd expect from scum.

It's totally unbelievable, this happening, and elvis, not a single vote.

Wow. I think MBL set himself up for failure a little too well there.

So it is a safe assumption that MBL took out chamber, and the scum took out MBL. MBL made a lot of accusations and conclusions. It's worth considering that MBL violently attacked e_k for making the insinuation that there was a possible SK. MBL turning up dead could mean that e_k called his bluff and scumkilled him. It could also be scum planting circular logic based on this exact statement.

I think this puts us significantly ahead of the scum, we're down a scumbag and an SK on day 2, the logical setup for 12-man games is 3 and 1, 4 and 1 is not entirely implausible given the swingy nature of the SK but properly pooling our information from here on out should net us a win rather quickly.

Morning. My initial feeling is that bluesoul's behaviour around DGB looks even worse now that we know DGB was scum; and I absolutely don't want to see any more dodging enquiries from him today. I'm also somewhat suspicious of Xyl. I'm going to reread as much as possible when it isn't half past 3 in the morning, should be plenty of interesting interactions.

Also, 4 mafia and 1 SK is pretty much out of the question for a mini game.

I'm somewhat surprised the mafia apparently took out MBL, but I'm not surprised that he came up scum.

Going into night, I strongly suspected that DGB was bused, and was prepared to concentrate on people on her wagon to start the day. However, the fact that the mafia killed one of the wagoners indicates to me that there may very well be scum off the wagon as well.

Of the people who lynched DGB, I'm looking at bluesoul and Xylthixlm, who I was suspicious of yesterday, and still am today. Off the wagon, I want to reread Ether's interactions with DGB surrounding her softclaim and HackerHuck, because I completely lost track of him. Elvis also had a lot of interactions with DGB, so she's worth a reread as well.

Looks like there's a lot of ground to cover, so a full reread is probably in order.

Buh? I was on DGB from post 7, and I do not have it in me to bus a teammate from the get-go, I don't have fun at the expense of others in this. Check any or every game you want, I have not and will not do such a thing.

Additionally Xyl can confirm that I
never
deliberately bussed a player in #mafia,
ever
, and I played I don't know how many hundred games there. I consider it grief play, and amazingly presumptuous to think that one player is so much better than another that they would throw them under the bus and try and win it solo.

It's a question of common courtesy, and sportsmanship.

Damn. I thought elias or elvis was the SK.

I don't recall bluesoul's play specifically (I don't operate off tells on specific players...), but I can believe that he doesn't bus players there.

Lowell: why did you kill chamber? You didn't express any suspicion over him yesterday.

Also, you said this when asked about Ether wanting DGB to claim even though Ether didn't seem to think DGB was scum:

I totally called MBL was SK and MBL tried to insist that having an SK in the game was ridiculous. lol.

So, I could sort of see what you mean here because sometimes differing sucm groups attack each other very hard, etc.

BUT, I don't think it makes sense for me to be DGB's scum buddy. You say that it doesn't make sense for you to be her scum buddy since you were onto her from post 7. I tend to agree with you. Your behavior towards DGB doesn't suggest a strong tie. But I think the same is true for me. Give a little read to our interraction and see what you think.

Also, I think general consensus was that MBL was town. I don't remember anyone attacking him that hard except me. Certainly a wagon never really got rolling on him. Although I think Elias was voting him at certain times. Anyway, I mean to say that I think MBL was killed because he was thought to be town.
