After looking at a couple of the games that Stormer has been involved with on this site, I do not understand where he would have gotten that impression. The newbie games that he has been involved with on this site have started with day, not night. This seems like a lame explanation for his gaffe and I'm not really buying it.stormer wrote:2-I didn't know we started straight away on day 1, I thought most games start on Night 0, so the cop could investigate at that time.-

As Nameless said:Rishi wrote:Yikes, stormer is scaring me. But would scum really be this obvious?
I think we gathered our other information. His overjustified unvote on Nameless earlier that made him seem like a condescending scum stroking the ego of somebody who'd been voting him, and this recent bout of fence-sitting and reluctance to be in any way specific make it pretty likely to me that he's somebody we should take a look at. I don't really think stormer's case is going anywhere - which is to say, nothing he posts from now on is going to make us rethink our stance on him (except Kmd, apparently) - whereas I don't think we've got a better chance to pressure Rishi for his actions than right now.Nameless wrote:Stormer is 'obvscum', but if he gets quick lynched when we still have plenty of D1 left to gather information on others I, for one, will be a little bit annoyed even if he IS newbie scum.

Hi guys, thanks again for having me in the game LG!
LG
I prefer votecounts edited into the top of each page; you know, like Johono
##unvote: Nameless
So, I've taken a read of the game so far and I'll try now to give some feedback on what's been going on.
mafia/scum terminology
I, personally, agree that, in this game, the informed minority should be referred to as the town.
Rishi
I could see the "obvscum" comment as a legitimate town slip-up, as Drake said, or an innocent mistake. The fact that Rishi didn't panic about this makes me think the later is the case. Further on, Rishi comes under a lot of scrutiny for a couple bad posts, but it’s really his last post (126) that get’s my neck hairs up the most. As Nameless said, it could be partner WIFOM, or it could be an attempt to shift the pressure onto an easy target.
Charter
Charter came back on Nameless's commentveryquickly in the random voting stage. This seems overly-defensive to me. Later on, Charter seems to level out; asking and answering questions, attempting to put on some pressure.
Baseball
There's no crying in Baseball, and there's no baseball in mafia (at least as far as I know). Kmd and Drake seem to be intentionally going head to head. It might actually be about baseball, or it might not.
Stef: "Hmmm.. interesting statement..."
"interesting" and ellipses are both pet peeves of mine, I agree with Rishi; I don't like this post or its ilk.
camn
Posts along with the flow for quite a while in the first couple of pages, remarkably so. She seems to be keeping her head waaay down until shit started up on someone else. Not abigtown-tell, but one none-the-less.
Stormer: "WHO ARE COP?!"
I dunno. Could go either way. It'ssoout of nowhere I don't know what to think about it. Stormer certainly warrants close attention.
Nameless
Nameless throws both suspicion and vote around like they are beads at mardi gras. In 54, he also asks Rishi to "respond to the allegations made." But there really weren't any allegations to respond to, certainly there were no questions put to him at that point.
Malyss and melikefoodare POWER lurking.
SpyreXI think coming down this hard on Stormer could be honest pressure, or an easy talking point for the minority. Although Idon'tknow why you redacted your accusation of KmD defending Stef, because;
Kmdwas obviously defending Stef.
------
Ok and that's about all I have in me for right now. I know there's a little more here to talk about, but for now; this is all I got left:
I wouldn't hate a Stormer lynch, it has a lot of policy and principle behind it.
I wouldn't mind if Rishi swung, either. Rishi has the most town-tells at this point, IMO.
I'd like to flesh out this issue with KMD before I make a decision though, so;
@KMD: Why did you feel the need to defend Stef?-

I was waiting for irrelevant discussion to pop up.
I disagree.camn wrote:Snakes on a plane is scientifically accurate.
Strawmans are fun.
Also, happy birthday Stef.
And now to some On-topic discussion...
Are there any questions that would need to be answered by me?
We wanted Rishi to talk right?
Would another vote get him to talk? Or is he just offline?-

I wish to lynch the bad guys that are informed and do not have the majority so we (the uniformed majority) can win.
I would like the others (Being mainly Rishi and Stormer) to answer the questions that have already been put out by others (I think it's Camn and Porkens).
So I can formulate my own questions based on the information given.
Fancy talk is fun.-

This is the post I am referring to (for clarity);Kmd4390 wrote:I think I already asked some one this the first time it was brought up but....

I read this sentence as a defense or dismissal of the allegations against Stef. You clearly don't intend it to mean that, so I'll highlight the areas that make it read that way to me.Kmd4390 wrote:Stef wrote:

Stormer still needs to come in and respond to some things......
You said "this was the1only2"half comment" I see and it was in the joke phase3anyway.
1. "only" implies that there haven't been many.
2. I read these quotation marks as meaning that you don't agree with the label.
3. "in the joke phaseanyway" I read as a strong dismissal of that same allegation.
That's how I read it, anyway.-

Porkens has a valid point.
Rishi and stormer need to respond.
Melikefood, do you think what stormer has posted as of #125 warrants lynching?
Malyss, do you have anything to say that ISN'T regarding the obvious target of stormer?
I am very close to voting you just for this post, if only because its pointlessness irritates me.camn wrote:Rebel Alliance Sucks.-

Pork,
1.) I skimmed over Stef's posts and didn't see any others.
2.)I used half comment in quotations because that was how it was worded before I used it.
3.)Yes, that half comment was in the joke phase. It didn't seem like a big deal.
I didn't see the case at this time so I wasn't going to comment on it any more.
Nameless posted this in response:
Not sure what HB means but, again, any thoughts at this point in the game?Kmd4390 wrote:
Here is post 94 for refrence,Nameless wrote:#94 by stef could easily be considered unnecessary given I'd asked the same question and (more lightheartedly) commented on the same refusal in the previous post.
I agree that this post is useless and has no content. I missed it when skimming because the numbers and length looked like actual content when I didn't actually read it.Stef wrote:

I'm not doing the stupid pound sign thing, it's really retarded.
Vote: Namelessfor now.
1. The retarded thingy is totally out of order. You knew the rules of the game when you joined.
2. Your vote, according to the game rules, is invalid.
3. Your vote, besides being invalid, had no arguments. I don't like that. Why did you vote for nameless?
I see at first where it looks like a defense; however, I see the point now about useless "half comments".Kmd wrote:True. The mod can deal with things like that. It's not something that players need to comment on without at least putting some content in the same post.
Valid point. I'll look a little closer this time to see if I find anything that I missed when I skimmed.Stef wrote:My joke can be interpreted like.. what? What little "half-comments"? When you try to bring on suspicion on a player at least bring some arguments and some examples.
Ok, there is a replacement...Stef wrote:Welcome porkens!
any other thoughts at this time?
Stef wrote:Thank you for the HB! I'll come back tomorrow with answers since today i'm celebrating again
So, yes, there are some "half comments."
Yes, I can see where you thought my first post on the issue was a defense.
Yes, I did disagree with that point after skimming.

I also think Stormer just made a clueless newbie error.
Though, I am not really convinced he shouldn't hang for it. Like.. is his play going to get better later on?
Also, Nameless is clearly forgetting about the first part of Roman Numeral I of the so-called "social contract".
But the internet is serious business.
@melikefood... Stormer answered my questions in post 125. Were they particularly insightful answers? No. Were they scummy? I think not, but you be the judge.
@KMD.. "HB" is "Happy Birthday." I think Stef is drinking..."if you weren't trying to be so unnecessarily mysterious all the time we wouldn't have these misunderstandings" - Yosarian2-

We should only lynch him if we think he is scum. If you don't think he will play better later, he will surely continue to slip as scum.camn wrote:I also think Stormer just made a clueless newbie error.
