It's enough for me. There's rarely anything better to go on for day 1, in my poor experience.iamausername wrote:Seriously, he subscribed to two totally contradictory lines of thought inside the space of one post, and has pointedly ignored all requests to explain himself for this. Aside from the fact that your name is hard to pronounce (>.<)
Just in general the refusal to answer a simple question that you could have answered 'no idea' to, not all of what I said.
As far as I can tell, Netman was only saying that because he thought I didn't answer the question when I actually did. That just undermines his entire attack on me. In addition, it's terrible logic all the way through. In fact:Jebus wrote:Post 207+210+198 - Pretty much what Netman said.unvote, vote: Jebus
If you want the reason, it's because it's a lot scummier to agree with terrible logic than have the terrible logic.
It's really has little bearing, since what you said could easily be considered as valid
So I answered a question. I wasn't totally sure it was directed at BM when I answered it, plus, it should have been directed at the whole town because BM wasn't the only person to think like that.Jebus wrote:Post 41 (and 43 as followup) - This is the first post that makes me think BM and Has are related in some way.
@mood of the search - I thought you seemed scummy, so I was searching for posts to back it up.
Me questioning a vote on me seems faked? what? mood of the search? What are you talking about?Jebus wrote:Post 170 - Seems faked to me. Could just be the mood of this search, though :/
@Faked - It just seems 'faked'.
Strong or not, you still tried to go after Rec here. I don't think it has much relevance now, but it may later.
Going after is a very strong term for what I did.Jebus wrote:Noted: Post 121+126 - Goes after Reclusion
Flat-out wrong was pushing it, and meh, I didn't read Netman's post below. Disregard this part
Ironic? what? And it was absolutely correct. Read his post again. It does absolutely nothing for the game. It's just a very long "hi I'm still here" post.Jebus wrote:Noted: Post 194 - A one liner that is both ironic and flat-out wrong.
A) I realize this.
Please try to remember that A) we haven't even found 1 mafia member yet, B) not everyone who seems a little suspicious is scum, and C) just because people are talking a lot doesn't mean they're scum. Is there a reason you're looking at 4 of the more talkative people as scum?Jebus wrote:So changing my list a bit, I think the mafia includes Hasd, BM, Reclusion, and possibly Yaw. And I'll probably look at BM in a little bit, and Reclusion/Yaw as well.
B) I realize this too.
C)More talkative = more chances to strike me as scum. That, and my theory that at least one scum member is involved in the group of talkative people, if that group contains at least three people.Bastard ModGod. Mislynch fodder. Suave savior.-

And at the contradictions, I have a tendency to make them when I'm not thinking while I type, or something like that. Confuzzling, really.Bastard ModGod. Mislynch fodder. Suave savior.-

See, this is my big problem with what you did. You weren't looking for scum. You were looking to ring someone up. And the shoddiness of the "evidence" you found backs that up.Jebus wrote:@mood of the search - I thought you seemed scummy, so I was searching for posts to back it up.Unvote,Vote: JebusSuccess breeds suspicion-

Because my spider sense starts tingling every time someone says my name. Obviously, I just happened to be reading the thread immediately after you posted that. What exactly is the point of this question?Reclusion wrote:P.S. Interesting time stamp. Why were you able to post something almost instantaneously when I mentioned your name?
OK, so which of the contradictory statements did you actually mean to say, and which one was just an unthinking outburst of typing? Is it scummy to support Lynch All Lurkers or not?Jebus wrote:And at the contradictions, I have a tendency to make them when I'm not thinking while I type, or something like that. First off, sorry for disappearing. Work exploded with the quarter close coming.
Bolded is mine.Netman wrote:
Just curious. Say for the sake of argument that I know I'm town. And assume all I have now is notes about potential connections, inferences, and hunches. How does it help the town for me to point these outchazworthington wrote:Bolded is mine. I'm going to single Netman out here but this applies to others: I don't think D1 is about catching scum in a lie or anything concrete like that. I think its much more important later in the game to go back and see who people claimed to be suspicious of during D1. When people say "It's D1, I can't really find anything", I think its time to start looking at those people.today, when I can point them out tomorrow? Again, assuming I'm in the uninformed majority, I don'tknowwho is innocent (besides me) and thus personally have no strong preference who gets lynched out of the pool of unknowns.
In fact, if I did have some strong opinions (but no real facts), wouldn't it be best to bring them uptomorrow, when I have more information to go on? In fact, the only reason I can see to throw around suspicions right now is to make myself look less like scum trying to lurk. But again, if I have strong opinions, I want to look scummy enough to survive the night, given that scum often kill the least-suspicious pro-town player.
So chazworthington, feel free to FOS me, or even vote to lynch me, but first, tell me what would be the smarter play for the town in the current situation.
I have no problem with holding cards if it gives scum enough rope to hang themselves. At the same time, I believe its important for everyone to weigh in and try to scumhunt D1. To do otherwise would give the scum a free pass.
As to your question, I'm going to answer that it is entirely dependent on what you are observing.
The bolded part is the problem. You're playing for your own survival instead of the town's in this case. I know anti-town does not mean scum, but I don't like that statement.
As requested:FOS: Netman-

I do't have time to look for it now, but you've made the same argument when the thread was "only 7 pages long" as well. At what point does the thread get long enough for you? The one newbie game I played on this site I caught scum on D1 on page six, I just didn't know how to convinve teh town of my argument.Mana_Ku wrote:Chaz, if you look at the third quote from me you used, you can see'only 6 pages long'. I never said the whole day. Besides, what did we have during those 6 pages?

How would you go about determining the difference?Jebus wrote:I meant to say Lynch all Lurkers is good, but Lynching people who are just inactive is not.

Post 52 was a joke. I dont see how 169 seems odd. But i think your issue is probably that you haven't come to terms with how i play. Which is makin u take pretty normal things FOR ME, as being wierd.Jebus wrote: Post 31 (followup post 32+33+34+~35) - Introduces minor possibility of being a scum team with cow.
Post 169 - Refers back to Cow's post 95 > Seems odd in general.
Questions:
Post 52 - by your alt?
And in general, his posts just seem (I can't think of the word >.<)... inconsistent (?). I dunno. Weird in general.
