What I told people not to do was pretty obviously not related to the game AT ALL. Even if you don't feel it's relevant to discussion terminology, there's at least a few of us that feel that it is. In fact, I think you may have been the only one who has said that they find it distracting. Anyway, I think we're done discussing it, for the most part.

What you told people not to do (talk about something off topic) isn't related to the game but the moment it becomes a point of discussion it IS part of the game - a distraction from what actually needs to be going on. Compounding that by tossing in a flippant remark designed to fuel the off topic discussion is a bad move.

Even if I'm the only one who found it distracting (which I bet I'm not) that doesn't change one whit about it being white-noise that allows people to "contribute" without saying anything - especially day 1 that is bad.

Actually, stormer asked whether or not there was a cop, not "Who is the cop?" I think it could have been genuine newbie confusion. Though the flippant response doesn't really help him. Also, this isn't a newbie game, so we shouldn't necessarily forgive someone for a newbie response.

And the only one who could answer that would be the cop - so, if you take it as a question that was expected to be honestly answered it would either tell the scum who the cop is or that we do not have a cop. Both, of course, benefit only the scum.

It's bad play and, worse, its scummy play. Enough to warrant a vote as it sits.

Well.. stormer strikes me as scummy. Why?

1. First he asks "BTW, do we have a cop?". That was suspicious but could have been interpreted as a genuine question regarding the game type.

2. Then he says " I was just seeing who's the cop". This statement clearly is fishing and/or very bad play on his behalf.

3. Going back to Charter's post #66 he replies in #67: "I see the logic in the bandwagon now" when Charter's post was vague at best and didn't really make sense cause we didn't get any valuable information out of rishi. That seems scummy to me as well because he seems to be enforcing suspicions upon a player without having any actual own arguments.

Those are the reasons that make me think stormer is scum.

Stormer is 'obvscum', but if he gets quick lynched when we still have plenty of D1 left to gather information on others I, for one, will be a little bit annoyed even if he IS newbie scum. (Alternatively, stormer is newbie cop 'cunningly' diverting the scum's attention elsewhere. Stormer, don't reply to that.)

@ Stormer. If a power role revealed themselves now, they would only be killed the next night by the scum, wasting whatever power they would have otherwise used (eg. investigation). And the scum could lie about having such a power role to prevent themselves being lynched, so there is no guarantee in the answers being truthful - and no benefit if there were - to ask now.

Now Watching Suspiciously: Spyrex. All you've done thus far is echo things other people have brought up (ie. Rishi and stormer wagon) or focus overly much on OOT discussion.

Fair enough, however - those things independent of other people do bother me. Stormer has no townie reason to ask the question he did - and this is not a newbie game so it is questionable behavior. Rishi's talking out of both sides in relation to OOT also is questionable.

Believe me, once the game gets moving you can expect me to actually have something to say. As of right now the only other person thats really catching my eye is Stef just because of the timing when he comes in and the little "half-comments" (like his joke on my statement which, by nature, could be interpreted either way).

I shouldn't have pluralized, my bad. But yes, that joke struck me as the kind of statement where it COULD by nature be considered not a joke (if, for whatever stupid reason it became a start of a wagon).

If I had a -real- case I would have posted it. I said it was a gut suspicion (catching my eye) and I gave why I thought so. Of course I dont have a case on you on page 5 - it takes doing something very out of the ordinary this early to warrant actual suspicion (see stormer).

If I was actually trying to "bring suspicion" on you - I would have a reason to do so and I would. I said you've caught my eye, thats it.

Although, I do find it interesting that you came in this strong on that AND, even odder, that Kmd also lept to your defense with this little gem:

a) Why did you want to know?

b) what do you think would happen is someone said "Hey, Stormer... I am the cop!"

As you argue amongst yourselves, you notice that JDodge has closed his eyes and gone catatonic. After some time, Tony comes into the room with the young man in the suit, Tony carries a large stick and the young man carries a tazer. "Yous got one choice, talk."

You watch as JDodge does not move.

"Okay den, you'll want to talk soon enough." he says as he picks JDodge up and drags him out of the room.

Some hours later they return, with a man with bandages covering his face walking in front of him. They force him to sit down and leave. As the man unwraps his face, you see burns and bruises on his face and hands.
