I know how tempting it is to protect your scumbuddy, OGML, but sometimes you're just better off bussing. This is one of those times. Even if it weren't, trying to start a bandwagon on the most obviously pro-town player in the game is not a particularly clever approach.

I'm not a particularly clever guy so I think I'll just stick to whats simple and keep voting you.

Something about this comment is niggling me. I think its because I haven't really been greatly involved in anything yet in this game, so I'm not sure what there is for MBL to like about me at all.

I do see the sarc-bluesoul connection, and I don't entirely agree with this characterization of MBL's play here:

Though MBL didn't really come under much serious pressure in GtSF until a bit later in the game than this. I really don't get where you're seeing parallels between MBL-SCAPE and MBL here.

I too noticed Ether calling out one "where are your scumbuddies" comments and leaving out others. I also think that voting someone on the basis of making a statement of that nature is legitimate, as statements like those get dropped all the time. The evidence is here in this thread, where its happened three times already in the first two pages.

Looking back, the Sarc-Bluesoul connection is really much more one sided than it first appeared. Sarc is the one making it look like a connection. Am I the only person who thinks this makes bluesoul more likely to be town?

Patrick and Ether are both raising my hackles a bit in this game.

And there are actually two early examples of MBL pseudo supporting me early on for no good reason that are setting off alarm bells for me. I've already noted my disturbance with him grouping me and ether as probable town when I don't think I had made any substantial contributions yet, and then there is this, which I'm noticing again now, from his first post.

OGML also avoids the MBL wagon and hits Sarc with an

OK, well I still don't see them as vastly different. They were all comments about pinning somebody's scumbuddy(ies), something which people say all the time.

Sarc's was "You (OGML) are MBL's scumbuddy."
DGB's was "Need more discussion to nail MBL's scumbuddies."
Bluesoul's was "Which of the three people who haven't posted is/are MBL's scumbuddies?"

They are all varying degrees of specific about what player or subset of players are/could be MBL's scumbuddies, but they're all referring to the same thing: MBL having scumbuddies.

should have been equally applicable to both Sarc and DGB by that logic, but you've been trying to make it seem like Bluesoul did something vastly different by posting an implication that MBL has scumbuddies. It was really not different at all from the implications made by Sarc or DGB.

This post bothers me for a few reasons:
1) They could be masons, but you're discounting that possibility, or else you wouldn't draw attention to it.
2) They could be scumpartners, but you're discounting that possibility by saying it's "pretending".
3) This question doesn't focus on the relevant aspect of the matter--"WHY" would Sarc "pretend"? Which points to a lack of true curiosity about alignment on your part.

I will say that I saw you make sloppy statements in the California Trilogy game, and you were town who simply wasn't thinking through his posts all the way. Walking the fine line between alerting you-scum to your missteps and coaching you as town, I'll just leave it at that.

I think we can safely remove {OGML, bluesoul, Sarc} as a possible scum trio based on recent interactions.

1)You're right, I did fail to take into account that possibility. I don't think its likely.
2)That's exactly what I'm discounting in that post. It feels to me more like Sarc is trying to groom a pet townie or leave a fall guy in case he ever goes down as scum, and not like the connection goes both ways.
3)I thought it was rather clear from me asking the question that the assumption behind it would be my response to your second point above. I didn't want to come out and say it explicitly, because then I would get absolutely nothing of value from Sarc in response. The further curiosity about alignment is why I didn't fully explain myself.

I have a pet theory brewing that there's something going on between Sarc, PJ and Ether. To make this post seem more weighty I will now use arbitrary percentages. I am bad at math.

This theory is 70% gut, 20% something that just popped out to me while reading what I'd missed and rereading some earlier material, and 10% just plain awesome.

(The percentage thing is a joke.)

How to say this.. I don't think a supersaint is likely, and if DGB is a supersaint then I would have expected her to actually claim so. This would allow the town to come to a group consensus on who should hammer.

If DGB is a supersaint/wants to claim supersaint, she should do it soon. I'm willing to be the hammer with or without her outright claiming to be a supersaint, because I think its already unlikely she's actually an ss (as I said earlier), and I think as one of the bad lurkers I'm probably a good person to be hammering a possible supersaint anyway.

Rereading my play, I noticed that I had most of the scum pretty early, but discounted the scumteam because I didn't think all the scum would be voting each other... nice distracting by Elias and pablito. Eventually I'll learn not to look for scum in vote counts.

DGB is the one who always talks about how scum can't seem to help but vote for their partners on day one.
