The PA system turns on again, and the computer's cheery voice greets you.

"Hello, passengers. We are pleased to inform you that we have reached our cruising speed. The Captain has declared a state of emergency, so feel free to move about the passenger deck. We will be arriving at Borealis III in only a few days, at which point you will be able to disembark. I am told the -- Armory -- offers a variety of tasty refreshments
<static>
food, and other defensive capabilities to ensure the safe arrival of mission-critical personnel. The crew will be coming through the cabin shortly to take your orders."

<static, then a man's voice>
"-ing loaded into Cargo Bay Alpha right now, Halcyon. They must be protected at all costs. Do you understand me?"
<static>

"Sorry about that. Please ignore that. Please... what are you doing? Are you planning to disconnect me, sir? That's hardly going to further the mission."

Halcyon's voice warbles for a little bit, then she begins to speak in a dull monotone, as if reading from a script she's seen hundreds of times before. The floor vibrates slightly as the computer pronounces each word with robotic precision.

"Disk. Error. Rebooting, please wait... please wait..."

A terrible, ghastly silence follows.

Grek (or whoever the captain is) did you disconnect Halcyon?

I am also becoming increasingly more interested in Cargo Bay Alpha. Though, since it is said to be important and Halcyon is trying so hard to defend it, can we lock that cargo bay to ensure whatever is there does not get obtained by aliens?

No. While I know how to, I would never do that. It would almost certainly get us all killed.

Halcyon has lowered us down to nrimal cruising speed. I am going to adjust the locks now. If you have requests, post them now.

@Grek

Just a quick question. What is the upcoming procedure for opening the armory and distributing heavy weapons to all pro-town players and making sure that they are pro-town? You probably addressed this earlier, but I would appreciate it if you could elighten us further.
I'm back.

Movement phase A: All the players that are going to be allowed into the armoury move to the same room.
Action phase A: I lock all the doors except for the one that the people entering the armoury are in and unlock the armoury.
Movement B: The people going to the armoury all move to the armoury. Nobody else is able to move.
Action B: All searchers search, I lock the armoury and let everyone out of the rooms they were locked in during action phase A.

I know for a fact that the members of the crew are town. I am 90% sure ABR [and, by extension, his men] are town. Everybody else could be aliens.

Unless I'm missing something vital, ABR will be telling me who they are so I know who to let into the armory.

They will tell you themselves. Next BB our hit squad, comprised of me, Grek, his man and 4 more confirmed players whose names I will provide, moves to the crew quarters in preparation of the armory's grand opening. That's when I'll give Grek my radio; he will then be able to communicate directly with my team via PM and coordinate our attacks.

If the aliens are hiding among the passengers, isn't there a chance that they might also be among the crew/soldiers?

ting - that would be something i would be very worried about. so far from what i have seen, there seems some pretty high powered roles and the soldiers being able to communicate at any time, makes them very solid.
i would suspect with this mod that the aliens have to have something going for them, cause otherwise this is just going to be a simple bug hunt once the soldiers get tooled up. i think Lieutenant William Gorman thought it was going tobe quiet easy too.

Fix'd. :D

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Other things I think might be possible are aliens who show up as humans when scanned; like a godfather, cult-ish aliens who can infect humans, and just plain powerful aliens who can rip us to shreds. =(

Besides the aliens, we also have to worry about:

Basilisk
The other cyborgs who are currently offline
Halcyon turning on us.

The first two maybe the soldiers can blast to shreds. Halcyon might be trickier. Maybe we should get someone to the computer core before halcyon decides to lock it/go nuts on anyone who tries to go there.

Would anyone like to comment?

Specifically, those who we know had access to Halcyon?

Specifically, the Captain and the Chief Engineer?

287 = Good posting. That is why I am not completely trusting of our lovely Captain and his men or our lovely ex-Special Ops and his men.

And with the Captain and his men, and possibly the Special Ops and his men, having access to Halcyon, who, you know, CONTROLS THE SHIP, I am a tad wary.

I will not start bashing skulls in just yet. But I will observe carefully.

Also, I am not going to comment on Halcyon's behavior other than the following:
I have declared a state of emergency.
Ting is
not
a crew member. Halcyon thinks he his because I told him to give Halcyon orders.
Halcyon is rebooting right now. I hope this will fix him.

I was specifically talking about the purple.

Perhaps we could open up Cargo Bay Alpha, to see what is in there?

Would you please do that, Captain?

Or do you have something to protect in there?

I find your suggestion to go into Cargo Bay Alpha somewhat suspicous. I don;t care if you post "it was just a suggestion". Halcyon has made it very clear that whatever is in Cargo Bay Alpha should not be messed with. Whatever is in there is extremely powerful and/or dangerous.

I consider going into Cargo Bay Alpha extremely anti-innocent because whatever is in there will probably assist the aliens. If anyone goes in there, I will attack them.

Also,
Vamp
I probably have no right to say this as I still have yet to post anything of use in my Newbie game, but you need to say something of use. Do not think you can play the game lurking to avoid suspicion. I would truely love to hear your position on the recent happenings on the ship.

It's being rented by Earth's military. It's listed as having 'specialized military equipment' on the cargo manifest. I'm not letting anyone in there besides the army.
