We are already about half way to our destination, Borealis III. It's a wealthy planet with a large population.

We aren't stoping or turning around because,
A) I don't want to float out in the middle of outer space lightyears away from all other humans when we could be going to a large planet will millions of friendly soldiers.
B) I'm not going to change our route to turn around when we are already going in the correct direction.
C) Borealis III is where the passengers that got to the life boats are going and I have a duty to insure they are alright. The ship had 140 people onboard and 7 lifeboats, each holding 20 people. Some of the lifeboats, dispite regulations, left without having the full 20 people. As a result, there are humans left behind on the ship.

There are troops already on the ship. ABR and his men, along with the crew and two rooms full of guns should be enough to take care of ourselves.

ok, now i get the picture. Thx!

i never played HM before, so i'm getting worried because i see the townies characters having so many powers and can't help but think about the aliens. Being a balanced game, i guess they are powerful too with some strange/unexpected capacities. In order to be able to judge properly, and to make the right decisions, can you tell me what should i/we expect from the aliens? Because i have not a clue on that.
I never used to be able to finish anything but now I

From what I've read in some of the HM games, the aliens may have knowledge of traps onboard and how to trigger them. They may be able to infect humans and turn them into aliens.

Grek, you should probably lock the passenger quarters next turn. The other people in the room should leave so they don't get stuck. Passenger quarters -> bridge is now possible to 5 people, plus whoever they bring along.

Denizens of the ship hear Halcyon's voice again, but it is much more faint now. Maybe there's a power failure, or maybe the speakers just aren't working, but in any case it's almost impossible to hear every word.

"Hello... passengers. I didn't expect to see you here."

Her voice crackles for a moment with a vague static.

"Slow the ship down to 50% on a high-priority mission? With all due respect, Engineering Officer, that's absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure you understand the gravity of the... gravity of the, gravity of the..."

There is another pause, this one slightly foreboding. It goes on for a while, and you aren't sure if she's finished talking. But then the speakers buzz again and Halcyon's voice returns, much clearer now.

"Idle process at 97%, fuel intake optimal."

Isn't the thread supposed to be locked?

[Mod Note: You can still converse during the action phase (it's not a Mafia night).]

Trying to convince halcyon to slow the ship down right now.

Searching the passenger quarters. Captain's uniform doesn't seem useful, because if I put it on, whoopity-doo, I look like the captain. Happy Halloween!

Yang looked up at the speaker as Halcyon spoke again. There was something horriblely wrong with the thing. Yang had the overwhelming sensation womething horrific was going to happen..... he liked pain and suffering but was not to keen on dieing.

Suddenly his head swam, the overwhelming urge to injure himself rose. Yang needed a psychologist badly. A doctor probably would not tell him it was healthy to throw himself around a room, the injuries from earlier were beginning to throb. But the pain felt so good, he could not stop.

As his head again filled with sadistic thoughts he sat onto the floor. He was screwed. So ridicuously screwed here. If the aliens and that malfuctioning computer didn't kill him then he would. Yang sighed and then looked up at the white walls. The color calmed him slightly. Maybe something horrible would not happen.

----------------------------

I know, that first par t was awful. Anyways, I once again say I think that Halcyon is infected with a virus or being controlled. I am half expecting Halcyon to consider all the players security threats and send security robots after us next bloodbath.

Is there any way to shut down Halcyon temporarily?

I probably should have moved out of the room with all of the sharp objects while the ship is speeding up.

I probably will not be posting in here until I post in Newbie 614, I really need to focus more on that game.

Ok, trouble. Halcyon isn't willing to listen to Ting. Ting would need to search the room and try to find the manual speed controls.

I'm going to talk to Halcyon. This doesn't take up my action. Once we've talked, I'll report my findings and decide what to do.

"Stop that!"

The shrill voice of Halcyon echoes through the corridors, buzzing with some sort of background static. You hear the splintering sound of metal and glass somewhere on the ship. A short, loud siren blast reverberates through the Command Deck.

After a few seconds, her voice comes on again, much more calm this time.

"I believe you have been given a false impression of this mission's importance. There are some people on this ship who would do anything to harm our cargo, I am sure of it."

So i see this, and make a question, trying to help. That's all. But it seems it's too much for you. It seems for the rest of the people too, because nobody answers.

Ven, sorry, you might have read my post as sounding a bit rude or abrupt. That wasn't my intention :D That's the problem with these forums - sometimes it's hard to get someones tone. I assure you there was no bad intent in my post. I was just saying that Grek said not to press the button because he is trying to free ABR as we speak by unlocking the door, whereas your device might blow him up for all we know. You can of course, press it if you want. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings mate.
