I think maybe naraku has a miasma poison kill that also roleblocks. The Goat makes little sense to block, but might make a lot of sense as a kill+block.

I'm Kagome, town human jewel cop. I can investigate someone each night and see if they have a jewel shard.

Upon reflection, it's the most frustrating role I've ever had, because revealing my results doesn't much help the town.

shos said he hadn't been targeted on any night

there was one night where both bb and goat both claimed to have targeted shos and got no result

now we can assume that if a theoretical scum alien-variant JK exists, shos would have at least seen them targeting him but he didn't, so what was going on with the "roleblocks" in this game?

bb clarified that he was actually roleblocked and it wasn't just a lack of result iirc, and goat getting no result as opposed to a negative result (like he claims to have gotten on mist N1) means he had to have been blocked in some way

What I find very odd is the phrasing. I was specifically told I got no result, and that my ability didn't work. The word "blocked" was never stated to me verbatim. I'm wondering if this has any significance. I started associating the two things as equivalent in my head, and I'm wondering if that's a bad association to make.

The main reason I was working under the assumption that NS was confirmed is because I found he had a shard N2. I didn't think scum would start the game with shards.

This morning, after a night that scum knew I got an investigation off, Mhork is shown to have been killed. Scum knew that he would be revealed as a shareholder...and everyone would realize that scum could indeed start the game with shards.

Within an hour, I make my first post of the day. NS makes his first post of the day within the next two minutes, revealing he "somehow" has a shard.

There is no mechanic shown for this. NS has made no mention of this ability previously.

Short version: I think scum were concerned I investigated NS again...after he said he had his shard stolen. Which means he killed a shardholder at some point.

So...he preemptively outted the information, and asked us to explain how it happened.

Feel free to shoot holes.

To clarify the bolded: Remember that this is exactly what I tried to do to Neil; investigate him after he said he didn't have a shard.
