The Montagues (and Capulets, in disguise) try the doors, but all in vain. Completely at a loss, they decide to follow the modly voice, and select one amongst them to be lynched.

Well, most of them do. schismatized huddles in the corner, rocking back and forth, moaning. "I don't wanna talk, I don't wanna talk" he repeats, sotto voce. He then curls up and sleeps, for nearly 48 hours.

Suddenly, he jumps up, and begins reciting, as if he were all alone:

To be, or not to be: that is the question:

He then promptly drops to the floor, and falls back to sleep. A deep sleep. A long sleep. After 24 hours, the Montagues (and Capulets, in disguise), check on him. He seems to be suffering from horrible, eternal nightmares, and cannot be woken.

"Hey everyone, good luck!" says Kinetic, peeping out through the eyeholes of his mask.

"I found our first Capulet!" proclaims Brutal Assassin. "You can tell, 'cause he said good luck. We Montagues never utter such a phrase."

"Really?" inquires Kinetic. "I mean, we Montagues are nice and kind, not the sort to engage in nocturnal murder. Why wouldn't we say 'good luck'?"

"Yeah, pretty sure it's Kinetic," says Dragon Phoenix. "He called me a "dick", and we all know Montagues would use something much more clever."

"Has this been scientificly tested, proven, peer reviewed, and indepentently confirmed?" inquires Logicus logicly.

"Umm," says Brutal Assassin, "...yeah?"

"Hmm." Somestrangeflea scratches at his scalp (why

it itch so?). "I can sort of see what you mean...you say "good luck" to the other team...and...uh..only Capulets are playing against another team."

"Exactly," nods Logicus.

"Oh, I dunno..." says xyz. "I mean, JimmyR thinks Poppin is a guy, that's pretty bad too."

"But see, there's already a

wagon

on Kinetic," reasons Mert, while biting his thumb at his avatar.

"I'm not a Capulet!" cries Kinetic.

"And I'm not a boy!" says Poppin, equally revolted.

The conversation is entirely too much for Schismatized and Krahven, so they promptly commit suicide. (What a selfish act.)

"Oh!" says Stewie, waking up with a start. "I didn't realize things had begun."

Then he blinks.

"Oh!" says Stewie again. "I didn't realize things had begun."

He shakes his head, uncertain of what just happened there. "Umm, anyway, Logicus. Evil. More wine, please?"

Poppin takes a deep breath. "Friends, Veronans, countrymen, lend me your ears. I come to write a big long post that no one'll read. But I'm up for lynching Kinetic, is the short of it."

"I'm really really a Montague!" repeats Kinetic, over and over. But no one seems to listen.

"Eh, I guess saying good luck is worse than thinking someone's a guy," says xyz. "Plus, you keep trying to tell me the wine's in front of me, when it could easily be in front of you. I mean...well, you know what I mean."

"Yeah," says somestrangeflea.

And with that, the party guests (and crashers), drag Kinetic to the gallows.

"I'm really, really..." he tries to say, but his neck has already been snapped.

The masqueraders, one by one, begin to wake up after a somewhat restful night of sleep. Everyone’s mask magically stayed on throughout the night… except for Brutal Assassin, who was brutally assassinated, and somestrangeflea, who was somehow strangely fleaed to death.

Everyone crowds around the mangled body of Brutal Assassin. The house crest of the Montague family which was sealed behind his mask was torn to shreds.
“What do we do now?” a voice screams out. “We lost another one of our brethren?”
“There’s something rotten in the state of Denmark!”
“Virtue is bold, and goodness never fearful.”
“How could you say that at a time like this?”
“For there was never yet philosopher that could endure the tooth-ache patiently.”

Brutal Assassin, a Montague, has been killed during the night.

But all is not lost, for in examining the body of somestrangeflea, you notice that the inside of his gloves are marked with the Capulet seal.

As far as the game itself went...

I too was disapointed in the number of modkills (and close calls). I think, in the future, should mafiascum attempt another speed game, that the limit should be lengthened. Honestly, with a time limit of a week, requiring people to post every RL day might be a bit excessive. One would hope that the players would actually be excited about the game and

want

to post frequently, but...well, you can lead a horse to water and all.

I'm a huge fan of the traitor role. I was surprised that Mert didn't claim on Day Three, when there were four of you. Since there were only two innocents, it would be impossible for Stewie to have been lynched. (More on this in a bit.) I don't like the combination of cop and limited reveal, as I feel the combination makes the cop super-powerful (but I do understand that that's the status quo around here.) But one of my favorite things about the traitor role is how it comes up "innocent", so you can try to draw the investigation and/or make fake claims with some impunity.

About the voting rules--I think it's absurd that you guys require an absolute majority to go to night without lynching. Take this endgame--there were four alive and no doctor or vig left (as he'd used his kills). Essentially, the only reason we couldn't call the game was because Stewie might have nightkilled Mert. Had Mert said "Hey Stewie, I'm Romeo, kill not-me tonight, it's all cool" or whatever...they still couldn't have forced night. They just would have refused to vote, thus dragging the game out for the duration of the deadline. I suppose in games that have different (and, I might add, dreadful :p) deadline rules, it's not *quite* as applicable, but I don't understand why you don't require a simple majority to no-lynch instead.

I don't really have many other comments. Thanks to those of you who played the game heart and soul--you're what makes things fun. And I'm glad to have modded a game here, to give something back.
